After e7 you can either got Master Sergeant or First Sergant (both E8) and then after that you’ll either be promoted to Sergeant Major (if you were previously a First Sergeant) or Master Gunnery Sergeant (if you were previously a Master Sergeant)

For the ranks. Is it MGYSGT then SGTMAJ or the other way around?? I’ve seen it mixed up and am a little confused on it. Lol
