I go back and forth to Panama and the islands are highly expensive to buy there or ship in. It's so great to see so many ppl travelling and thank you for the tips Goddess. Big ups

Awesome Video Cousin đđđđ You Did Amazing Love You
Joanne, this was a great video. I'm much older than the average student, BUT I'm in a situation where I need to change professions, and since I LOVE receiving massages, I should learn how to give one properly. I have always traveled in my career, so this won't be a stretch. I'm definitely ordering your book
Itâs never to late! â€ïž
@@JoannBrito I'm going to massage school in Sept. wish me luck! I plan to be mobile
Great video! thanks so much for the information.
Thank you, hope it helped!
Great vid thank you!
As a 26 year old certified massage therapist, I havenât worked yet only because of the pandemic even though I graduated from the Aveda institute in 2020 February. Iâm planning to start working either this year or next year. I want to work in a spa for a year and then work and live on a cruise ship as a massage therapist. And if I enjoy that, Iâll keep doing it. Eventually, I do want to do sports massage and start working with more athletic people including bodybuilders.
The best thing about a career in massage is the flexibility and various ways we can curate which avenue works best for you. Enjoy the journey of finding your way and good luck with everything!
Youâre amazing girlđđŒđđŒ

My only question isâŠwhats a good way to make STEADY money while being a nomad?
I know you can make a lil money here n there while travelingâŠhow can you maintain and grow the income you want while traveling as a massage therapist nomad? Is it just content alone? Because I woukd prefer to remain anonymous with content as an MT honestly until Iâm making BANK!
Iâm just trying to consistently get to the đ° and want a steady income so when I travel back to my expensive country (aka USA) Iâm not broke like when I went abroad before.
Donât wanna have to go back to live with momma all over again because building the brand only pays so much & having to rebuild my income again when I return. đ
Am I overthinking? Or you know what I mean? Lol
Thank you for the kind words, you're so sweet. Honestly since I haven't traveled abroad as a nomad yet, I cant give 100% guide for you to make bank. I'm always a fan of consistency in your craft and having various income streams.
I do believe starting content now and preparing all the platforms that, that content can bring you income would be the smart way to go.
For example, I make money right now through many affiliate sites like Amazon, my book sales and working on CZcams to name a few.
Creating content consistently is honestly my weak area, but doing it consistently can bring great residual income because once you upload, theres not much else to do but market yourself to drive traffic to your content.
If you want massage to be your main source, then I would really do your market research on the best place you could go to bring you steady income in the industry, and where getting clients wouldn't be hard. Your price point wouldn't be as high as in the states, but with the cost of living being lower, being strategic with earnings, etc, you should be able to make a good living for yourself.
Good luck with everything and I hope this helps, and thanks again for purchasing my book. xoxo
Thanks so much for the information...am also a massage therapist in Kenya and I do hope that one day I'll work abroad coz am planning to go back to school next year to advance my career
Best of luck to you, and youâll be abroad before you know it! đ
I'm through with school & am travelling abroad very soon...#massageforlife#
I luv your make up. It's not too much, just enough. I'll be starting massage therapy school next month, that's how I came across your page.
Oh thank you, you are so sweet! đ„° Good luck with school! đ€
I want to know any massage therapy school please help me cause i want to start class now please and thank you
I'm going to graduate as a massage therapist in July! Have you ever used Soothe or Zell? How do you handle "weird" or inappropriate clients??! I wish I could ask you a million questions lol
I've never used the apps, but I do touch on that and discuss the "weird" client situations in my book ("Guidebook to Mobile Massage:Tips from the Massage Ninja")
If you get it, read it, and want more in depth answers on topics, then feel free to reach out. CONGRATS on your upcoming graduation! :)
You may have to get 2 years experience at least before you going to those Uber massage co. Clients are very picky in that company and they give you 1 or 2 for so so massage and if your rating stay low , you never give you a job.
Polish your skills
Hi i wanted to ask a clarifying question regarding the digital nomad!
Digital nomad companies can sponsor a massage therapist for their visa application??? But the catch would be we cant sell massages at said location because its domestic currency, not foreign currency we would be making???
Please and thank you! I think that is what you were hinting at when mentioned bartering services
Would be best to get all these legal paperworkâs done while in school for the certification?
How are you allowed to practice massage in several states and countries legally? Do you have to have multiple licensures?
This a great question and i get it often... if you are booked to work with a specific client or company and just working with them, you can do that. But you could not go to a state or another country and solicit more work from people in that area (outside of that client) while youâre there, or just go on your own accord to work without the proper license/visa, etc.
For example, if you get booked to work a tour with an artist, you will travel and can work for that artist and the crew working within the tour, but you canât in your free time, market and work on people in the city/country youâre in.
Hope I explained this correctly and it makes sense and helps out.
I just rolled into national holistic Institute of massage therapy so I'm hoping do the same you do
Damion Bates Oh that sounds great, clients love all natural & holistic approaches. The more knowledgeable, the better!
@@JoannBrito I am very impressed of all your complishments and like I said I'm just trying something new in my life now I hope that I can work overseas and work with important people plus im a marital art expert so i bring that to the table plus the wonderful experience im learning
I'm from Jamaica and want to work in Canada, can that be done?
Hi Amy Iâm Harrison come on from South Africa I did a massage therapy last month and I am a Plant person Iâm just wondering how am I going to expand my knowledge and so on but I am determined to do so happy sure thank you
Just research, and get with some good mentors in the field to help expand your knowledge and see how you want to tie everything in together.
As I was researching licensing in CA, which always has more requirements than any other state, except NYC, I came across an association that offers training in different fields to get certified to work in sports medicine and other fields within the medical world.
I have a serious question about this, in school they tell us we will have to get a license in each state or country before massaging & traveling. Is it difficult to get licenses in each state and cost? I really wanna know...

Are there websites or organizations weâre massage therapists can see postings for positions abroad, almost like an international âIndeedâ?
How do you find these jobs overseas?
@naturallydifferent1 I have not.
How would you link with a digital nomad company though or any company
I havenât used any of them but here are a few Iâve heard of to give you an idea of companies I was referring to:
âąRemote Year
âąDigital Nomad Adventures
âąHacker Paradise
âąSelina
âąNomadize
I hope this helps! đ
You say Nubis is 30lbs but their website says only 5.3 kilos! Do you mean the weight once inflated and with the legs on? And how much did you pay for it?
I need to weigh it by itself to verify the accuracy. I do place a thin blanket, portable chair and I have oil and/or cream in the side pocket.
But give me an additional day or two and I'll be sure to weigh it for you and come back here for an update.
I saw that under the Sport model, too. The Pro model lists as 14.7, translating to 32lbs, so sheâs correct.
I am 3 year experience all massage India plz job help mi visa problem only visa process time waiting work permit immigration attorney say
How do you travel without having a license for each state?

@@JoannBrito I have worked with entertainers when they are in my town but I had someone that booked that work. I would love to know how to book more for myself. How do get your foot in the door? Thanks âșïž
Who do you contract through
I work for myself and get my own contracts/bookings, I donât work for anyone. Not sure if that answered your question or was what you were asking.
How much $$$ does the job earn each year pls?
This question is very subjective, but fortunately with this occupation, your effort and hustle can dictate what you make.
I know therapist who make 6-figures a year, and many that make high 5-figure salaries.
Iâm just getting started and would love to link up with anyone willing to make a new therapist friend and share experiences. Reach out! â€âš
I started Swedish massage last year and Iâm just going to be gaining more qualifications this year to travel! Must chat đâïž
I wouldn't ship your table, that's too expensive and inconvenient. You bring it with you on the plane as checked baggage. I travel with my table all the time when I work in the private domestic sector ...on ships and yachts. It's just one oversize fee. No big deal.
Travel ?
I donât think that it is good idea as a main career.
If you are from USA , other counties pay low n low because their standard of living is lower than USA.
and they hire Thai or local people charge very low.
Vietnamese or Thai massage , they charge only 5 or 10 $ per 60 min.
So they can find them locally.
Please get a grip n reality check
Unless you work for royals , donât have high hope n smell coffee
I have been in this business over 20 years Snd know this business inside out.
Well I'd have to respectfully disagree with you, as I've been around the country and world and massage is what gave me that opportunity. As far as working full-time in another country, I think one would ask what they are looking for in life moving forward. For those wanting to explore the world while also making a living, massage would definitely help do that. If you are into material things, then maybe that wouldn't be a good option if you aren't linked with a high-profile or affluent client. But those wanting a more simplistic life filled with flexibility and experiences, I think working abroad is a great option to accomplish that.
For example, I currently am on the volunteer medical staff for the Olympics. The position isn't a paid position, but I do it for the networking and experience it brings me. I was invited to do another rotation for Worlds in Europe in November and I'm excited for it. What better experience to travel with an Olympic team (all expenses paid) to watch them compete on their journey to the Winter Olympics. I actually feel honored they wanted me on that journey, but that type of experience moves me and may not be for the next person.
I also do believe location abroad is important as well. I have friends that work in Spain and Paris and they make great money as a therapist. If you want something geared towards more remote beach life, then the income may be more moderate... but at the same time, your cost of living will be low as well.
*And also a Tip to know, that even if you work for a nice resort/spa on an island, that being from the US will play to your advantage in getting higher pay than the local therapist in that area.
It all comes down to what lifestyle you want to live... but saying one cant have that as their main career is actually a very false statement. Being you've been in the business 20+ years you "should" know that.
Sounds like you need a massage.
@@JoannBrito @joanbritto well said. That sorted that one. Your advice is amazing. Is there a chance you could email me please. I have my certificate for Swedish massage, but Iâm looking to do further training to get the qualification so I can travel the world. I know that bit. Just be great to know more about a list of clients not names but just what areas to focus on? If you wouldnât mind, Iâll wait for your response. Many thanks, Sam
