@@TayMcQuaya in the case of controlers it’s more of a matter of preference so just go with whatever you like to use. it’s also worth knowing that if you want to improve in fighting games that you should look for specific groups that you’re interested in so that you have a place to play against and learn from other people. the best way to get better is to keep trying and one day you’ll see the results.

Got Ki charged after a loss today...then I proceeded to beat him 3 times in a row after and got a promotion with the last round being a perfect. Such a satisfying feeling.

I must have lost 5 games to him spamming guns and all that. I picked superman on the 6th game, won then left after being content with the 1 win. He proceeded to wright me a paragraph on how all i was doing was spamming flight and heat vision..........I couldnt believe the audacity.
I stopped playing ranked only because 80% of the players I go up against are using all those lame auto scripts now, it lowkey makes me want to go back to ps4 tekken lol.

I recently picked Tekken back up and started peer pressuring my friends into playing online with me. Due to inspiration from you and Lil Majin, I even started to play ranked and online tournies again.
Tekken is the least respectful community in online fighting games, bar none. I hate so many of the people I play against and am really tired of encountering people who can't appreciate a good fight. Tekken being the game I have the most talent is almost a curse, I think. There's always this haze of misery that comes with playing the game, even at the best of times.
What's ridiculous is that the game is insanely fun. People just take it to toxicity haha they don't have to but the indomitable human will to be a shitlord reigns over all semblance of fun haha

I started playing rank again after a while and it feels like it was a mistake. Rage quitting seems more common now than a couple of years ago. This guy's a good representation of the kind of people that are common in green ranks and above. King, Negan, Law and Alisa are a magnet for radioactive trolls.
I had this in Smash too. The guy teabagged after each stock. Then when he loses he frame perfect disconnects. After 5 minutes I match with him again and he does it again. But he also has a super high ranking online. Probably only because he disconnects every time he loses...
Play fresh into rank only to never play it again... Or play rank long enough to be converted into a toxic player. - A green rank that rarely labs/practice but instead ranks alot
One of the cleanest just frame plugs I've seen, I reckon this guy has either macrod a key to drop network or has set up his PC right next to him to yank the cable as fast as possible.
Rather than deducting point and giving point to the W side (which some claim can be used in boosting) How about, in game ban timer? 15min for disconnection. If you are disconnected by your opponent, you get some form of point boost next round or for next 10/15min? To compensate your wasted time dealing pluggers. Edit : One more addon, you won't be matched up with that plugger again for X hours.
Ranked in every game is pretty much toxic like this. Doesn't matter if it's Tekken, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, even goddamn Smash Bros, there's always choads like this online. Edit: Might as well throw in any kind of casual match, so basically playing the game online period lol.

Ranked on PC is absolute cancer full of pluggers, smurfs, and people using macros. I can't believe how easy it is to just reset rank or change it with no consequences. I love that one of the biggest fighting games currently can't even be bothered to fix any of its most annoying issues. Don't forget to buy the DLC!

I do agree with MMSWE. Im a scrub in the red ranks and I never played against someone as disrespectful as this guy, In the lower ranks, the players use simplistic tactics and cheese moves because it gives them wins, normally. But they are rarely disrespectful.
I would loose like 10 matches in ranked and get demoted like 3 ranks to learn something, just to end up realizing the other player was using a cheat or smthng because you can just tell when no one is that good at blocking lows and ducking throws.

Would love for them to do like in CS:GO and have people who have been reported and/or caught cheating or being toxic get put in a seperate league where all the scum gets placed. I remember when i used to play mk11 a guy beat me nine games straight and i won the tenth game. I played another game and lost and he moved on challenging other players . This guy wrote me a mini essay how I was bad, some cuss words etc. He lost one game and was raging. Online on the whole there are many toxic players. I'm new to Tekken and having lots of fun but matchup knowledge is critical for defense and winning consistently. I end up in a defensive shell trying to block but its fun.
You can always go back to TTT2, a game which is infinitely better, more balanced, more fun, better netcode, better customizations, better offline modes, pair play to tag with a friend, and no cheaters. Yes, TTT2 is still active in 2021, its obviously not as populated as in the 2013 heydays, but it is there. Yo Scrupman, this also goes for you, you can always return to the better TTT2, if you like.
And this is why I can't play to improve in tekken 7. Bandai Namco have just made this game to support toxic spastics, and to reward people who play stupidly easy characters. Tekken 8 better change or I'm dropping the series. Completely over companies encouraging loser behaviour.

Yesterday I deleted T7 from PS4 and almost a month ago from my PC as well. I'm so done with this game. This game sux online and is bad for ya health. I wasted so much time on playing rank without having fun it's laughable and sad. I could have played other games and have a better time, but Omega looks so cool. online scene is a strange beast, mean been playing tekken most of my life(almost 30 yrs) and its 1 of my fav games all time. Just seems different to how used play on console we had to have somebody literally come over with a controller or they might get your back up with stuck 4 button lol. Been considering the online as i'm not bad and always was the guy in round robins with full house 4 ppl or more usually held on to controller and got W. Haven't had too many real opponents last couple yrs so im kinda rusty and prob start out pretty rough but given some thought to idea of playing online regardless of drama and cheaters etc...will say zoners arent really a thing in tekken and least geese and akuma its 3d so not just jumping projectiles and got some movement options.
This is why I stopped playing Tekken ranked. I main Lars (apparently a low tier character) and 99% of people don't rematch me when they get their arse legitimately handed to them and the higher ranks are the worst with that, so it's really tedious work trying to rank up and it's actually harder. Then you get the cheap smash and grab lower ranks who are desperate to use you to rank up, so they'll spam ridiculous shit with a really cheap character and undo all the work you hustled for the last 5 matches and won't even grant you a rematch, not that it would be worth it anyway.
Haven't touched tekken in like 8 months since that update when they buff and fdebuffed all the characters. It was weird and yeah ranked is toxic lol. Been playing tekken for 20 years there is no such thing as casual anymore lol

I had this in Smash too. The guy teabagged after each stock. Then when he loses he frame perfect disconnects. After 5 minutes I match with him again and he does it again. But he also has a super high ranking online. Probably only because he disconnects every time he loses...

If you are disconnected by your opponent, you get some form of point boost next round or for next 10/15min?
To compensate your wasted time dealing pluggers.
Edit : One more addon, you won't be matched up with that plugger again for X hours.

I really love watching people play this game. But I honestly can't stand to play it even for a couple of hours anymore online because there are people like this at every single rank now. And with the rank change it has become even harder to rank up.

Ranked on PC is absolute cancer full of pluggers, smurfs, and people using macros. I can't believe how easy it is to just reset rank or change it with no consequences.

I do agree with MMSWE. Im a scrub in the red ranks and I never played against someone as disrespectful as this guy, In the lower ranks, the players use simplistic tactics and cheese moves because it gives them wins, normally. But they are rarely disrespectful.

I would loose like 10 matches in ranked and get demoted like 3 ranks to learn something, just to end up realizing the other player was using a cheat or smthng because you can just tell when no one is that good at blocking lows and ducking throws.

I remember when i used to play mk11 a guy beat me nine games straight and i won the tenth game. I played another game and lost and he moved on challenging other players . This guy wrote me a mini essay how I was bad, some cuss words etc. He lost one game and was raging. Online on the whole there are many toxic players. I'm new to Tekken and having lots of fun but matchup knowledge is critical for defense and winning consistently. I end up in a defensive shell trying to block but its fun.

You can always go back to TTT2, a game which is infinitely better, more balanced, more fun, better netcode, better customizations, better offline modes, pair play to tag with a friend, and no cheaters. Yes, TTT2 is still active in 2021, its obviously not as populated as in the 2013 heydays, but it is there. Yo Scrupman, this also goes for you, you can always return to the better TTT2, if you like.

online scene is a strange beast, mean been playing tekken most of my life(almost 30 yrs) and its 1 of my fav games all time. Just seems different to how used play on console we had to have somebody literally come over with a controller or they might get your back up with stuck 4 button lol. Been considering the online as i'm not bad and always was the guy in round robins with full house 4 ppl or more usually held on to controller and got W. Haven't had too many real opponents last couple yrs so im kinda rusty and prob start out pretty rough but given some thought to idea of playing online regardless of drama and cheaters etc...will say zoners arent really a thing in tekken and least geese and akuma its 3d so not just jumping projectiles and got some movement options.

This is why I stopped playing Tekken ranked.
I main Lars (apparently a low tier character) and 99% of people don't rematch me when they get their arse legitimately handed to them and the higher ranks are the worst with that, so it's really tedious work trying to rank up and it's actually harder.
Then you get the cheap smash and grab lower ranks who are desperate to use you to rank up, so they'll spam ridiculous shit with a really cheap character and undo all the work you hustled for the last 5 matches and won't even grant you a rematch, not that it would be worth it anyway.
Haven't touched tekken in like 8 months since that update when they buff and fdebuffed all the characters. It was weird and yeah ranked is toxic lol. Been playing tekken for 20 years there is no such thing as casual anymore lol
