Super cool i preordered mine from bestbuy for $799.00 and with sales tax in my state i paid a total of $875.99 exactly. Now its $999.99 before sales tax. My bestbuy card literally just got billed as the scooter gets released tomorrow 7/01/2023 and will be ready for pick up! Im so excited for my first scooter as an adult. The last time i had a scooter was back in the early 90s with 10 inch tube tire wheels and it was a full time kick scooter lol.
@4:50 It is a zero start scooter, I have the Max G30P and in the starting speed option that you skipped has an option for 0-km/hr speed but it will put the scooter in park when stopped for 5 seconds.

Awesome video! My current scooter is a Ninebot ES4 which I've done over 3000km on. I also have two F40s at home, and another ES4. Never owned a Max, but I've ridden them and know plenty of people who have them. They're well known for how reliable they are, and how stable of a ride they have too for the price. I have one of the G2s arriving in around a week, and I'm currently binge watching reviews. Love the hill test and your consistent comparison to how the performance is compared to other scooters. I honestly feel it might be slower than my ES4 as I've modified it heavily, and run 1300w consistent power on it too HAHA. Will be fun to test them both side by side in a performance comparison.

I actually sold a Vsett 9+ Pro to get the G2, so trading down in power yet i feel this scooter will be more handy for easier travelling, small trips to the store and so on, and also... dosen't look so agressive so will not attract the attention of the police as much as a Vsett.

Does anyone know where to get MAX G2 NEW TIRES? (Not available in Segway store)
Bought mine. Best Buy. Took out the box. Put together and plugged in. Won't cut on. Unplugged it. Won't cut on. Plugged it back in let charge for hours. Won't cut on. Any suggestions? (4-pin handle bar connection is plugged up properly. Took apart & put back together many times).
There are NO more of these available at Best Buy or online for a replacement one. :(

It's very good, I do like the KQi3 Pro but this is better for me. I haven't tried the max

Good catch, I don't always cruise on the same day and even if it is the same day, I typically change my clothes, at least wearing shoes.
I brought a Zinc Velocity+ and got it yesterday and unboxed it to find no screws for the handle bar ...Grrrr!!

I haven't tried that but this thing has a much more powerful motor just looking at the specs.
i´m 163cm and have heard that the handlebar on the Max G2 sits too high. I was about to place an order for the Max G2 but many have said that the handlebars sits too high and that this scoot is perfect for those over 170cm @@landpet

I’ve been riding this thing everyday since I got it, just came back from the store with it lol. So far so good, I don’t know about a F10 error. I will do a long term review on this so if I experience anything I’ll be sure to include it.

For me it's an option in the Segway app as I showed during the video. I imagine Europe has different rules, best to ask Segway.
@@landpet Yes, unfortunately the information on the official pages is not accurate. Theoretically, officially it is a maximum of 25 km / h. My question was more about whether there are popular unofficial MODs that allow you to change these settings and unlock the maximum speed, for example, 30km / h? Do you users do this in the US? In the old G30 MAX scooter it was possible.
@@bananabrown3724 My G30 can now go 27mph. Custom Firmware, and 48v upgrade.
It's got some nice features but not really a reason to get over the Varla Pegasus, which is about the same price and has dual motors.

dual motor is useless. range is better
@@ropeysubstance1719 it's not useless at all because most dual motor scooters have the option to run with just 1 motor. The hill climbing ability of a dual motor scooters is great when you need it. I'd rather have the power to go up steep hills and then just switch back to single motor if I'm concerned with range.

I'm super doubtfull of buying any escooters, after finding out that the import/maintenance company for Segway Ninebot has this disclaimer which apparently voids warranty:
"if the product has been used in sand, gravel, wet ground or ice" ... this actually reads in their maintenance form, which you have to accept before sending an escooter for maintenance under warranty. Sent my Max G30E ii there a few days ago, we'll see what happens and if the IP rating means actually anything.
Can you imagine if an ebike couldn't be ridden in rain or even wet ground and on gravel under warranty? It would be absolutely useless. I have used my ebike (kitted regular bike) for 6 years through rain, snow, hale, slosh and sunshine wo electric problems. Regular maintenance is needed for replacing worn parts, which is plenty, and had a some gear damage in the motor, but weather problems? None besides what dirt getting into chains causes.

price fluctuates quite a bit, goes on sale (retail is $1299 in USA), weight = 53.5 lbs
As you mentioned, this is a portable street legal commuter scooter, not a dual power 100 lbs beast, and for a great price at the moment. Compared to G30, it has an addition of suspension, turn signals, horn and more powerful motor. However, it has worse LED screen, is 10 lbs heavier and, stragely, has two different tire sizes. So if you want to have a spare tire at home, now you need one of each. Picking this one over any similar scooter (original G30, Navee S65, ...) is a no-brainer.
Acording to specs on the segway site the tires are the same size, also the led is the same aswell, the only downside is 10lbs more, but other than that its a good first scooter...I own a G30 so this doesnt seem much of an upgrade, i would rather get a double motor scooter at this point
@@futmut1000 no he's right. rear tire has a bigger rim size (bigger motor), so it's 60/65 instead of 60/70
If 10lbs make any difference in the world to you (especially as a male), stop going outside. The couch is is a better friend to you. You noodle arms arent ready for this.

Apparently the screen is just tinted darker, you can order the cover from an original max and it will appear brighter. I havent tried it yet but will order one anyway as the the screen inevitably gets scratched.

Segway still hasnt found a way to fold the handlebars…. they dont even care about portability, let alone optimizing their design, cause it still looks like theres so much extra metal on it that could be shaved off just like the previous models
