This was an INSANE TOUR!!!!
Hello from Guyana 🇬🇾 my dream home with lots of aquariums. I started breeding bettas now I am breeding angels and was successful after failing about 4 times love your videos they r truly inspiring.
Incredibly impressive set up. Great to see the passion of Grant and Shelby, you can see clearly that they aren't in it for money. Hopefully they can continue for many more years as they are fantastic ambassadors for the hobby.
Thank you!
I like the fact that he isnt trying to gatekeep and hide his techniques. He makes it welcoming and doesn't try to mask it as rocket science.
❤️
I’ve Hurd from a lot of people Grant and Shelby are the top teir! Great ambassadors for shrimp! I love shrimp! Have 4 shrimp tanks myself.
And I thought I had a lot of shrimp tanks. Can we say OBSESSED ⁉🦐🦐🦐
12:50 If I just heard the man correctly, he said: I started as a kid, I am a stay at home dad, the wife works a few days a month, and I earn enough income for my family and I to do well enough to afford a home. Good Tour so far
Yes b
WOW!!! WHAT AN AMAZING DEMONSTRATION OF SHRIMP!!! THE FACT WE MET AT SHELBY'S AND GRANT'S HOME WAS AWESOME BUT WHAT I DIDN'T SEE WHILE THERE, I SAW ON THIS STUNNING VIDEO!!! YOU AND HARLON ARE JUST SO AMAZING WITH YOUR CAMERA AND PHOTO EXCELLENCE!!! THANK YOU FOR VISITING US AND CAPTURING ONE OF OUR BEST SHRIMP FAMILY IN FLORIDA!!! SUPERB WORK NICK!!!
Grant and Shelby are amazing ambassadors of the hobby and your video does a great job of showcasing their passion. Well done... again!
Really cool that you got to visit Grant and Shelby! They have an amazing shrimp/fish room and are a pleasure to be around. They're wonderful people and assets to the hobby
You bring smile to my face. I dont know when I watch you. Its the very calm vibe I get from you and the way you explain and ask questions.
Thank you cheering my heart with your pleasing personality. x
Vielen Dank für die tiefen Einblicke 🙏🦐😍
This is one of my favorite YT channels. Really helps keep my curiosity for nature alive. Thanks, Nick!
Amazing variety. Great video thanks for sharing.
Love Grant. Only person I'll buy shrimp from and glad to be buying local
Wow, I really enjoyed that video. Even at 2hrs long, I couldn't watched it all day. Wish Shelby had shown off more of her fish though but Grant's the man! Awesome vid Nick
Wowww, so cool!🤩
Ruangan yang penuh dengan aquarium, koleksi ikan cantik yang sangat banyak
This one was crazy bro...very nice...keep it up. I was selling fish to a local fish store and we were talking about how much we love your channel. I'm in Missouri...you're doing great!!
Awesome video! Loving all the tanks ❤
Bought my Blue Diamond shrimps from Garden of Eder. They're great! Beautiful blue colors. Hopefully you were able to float down the weeki wachee river while you visited.
Yes! Been waiting for this vid to land.
Awesome Video, what a lovely setup, amazing exotic numbers of shrimp collection. Please do a video on tiny different coloured lobsters too.
Great video Nick👍Finally managed to watched it all in a vew takes. I am following Grant for a while. He is a top shrimp breeder and a great example of someone focusing on their skill. Thaks for subbing btw!
Holy smokes Batman ! , those shrimps are super fantastic never knew how many varieties there are and the selective breeding with strains of certain types it’s amazing❤️💚🙏🏻🇬🇧
I would love to fill my house with tanks like that but I would definitely drill the tanks and set up an automatic water change system. I'm way too lazy to be doing all those water changes by hand. Thanks for showing this to us, Nick and Harlan! Great video!
One day we will move to a larger facility and do automatic with two or three times as many tanks
I ended up with red ramshorn snails in one of my tanks very neat looking
so nice and preparing
Very neat interview!!! 🦐
At one point i had 63 and i thought i was nuts at that point. downsized to 26 ish but seeing this makes me wanna add more hahahahahahaha
Go for it!
I'm managing 10, thats already the max I think I could go before the hobby becomes a chores.
@@laujack24 there's always ways to make things more efficient
@@thegardenofeder Yup after i set up my auto waterchange it was a game changer.
@@laujack24 consider an autowaterchange system. its easier than you might think i built mine using Wifi Plugs and Solenoids. cheap and easy for overflow i did the Infinite siphon plumbing there are loads of videos on this in YT
Pretty cool
Breeding shrimp is just too much work lol. Culling is an absolute nightmare, so hats off to them!
guppy and shrimp r the most culling intensive in the hobby, reason why I switch from guppy to rainbow and killi. as later simply all breed the same, for every pair of premium guppy u produce u probably need to cull 50 fish lol.
@@laujack24 Absolutely, and your margins get wrecked because you can't insta-cull, so you've gotta feed for a month or more before figuring out what you've got... And then having different grades, so you need more tanks... Huge no thank you. Importing is much easier and the margins are still healthy enough.
For the black devil snails around the 1 hour mark, the reason why those don’t breed is because they are actually a brackish water species. They’re usually found at estuarines and mangroves as opposed to the other rabbit snails which are found in lakes.
Amazing shrimp rooms !!! Just subbed to the garden of Eder 👍
Thank you!
@@thegardenofeder No thank you you're depth of knowledge will be invaluable 👍👍
Another amazing video! Nick and Harlan make a geat team. My head was spinning trying to follow the various names and the crosses of each shrimp type. I shudder to think about the cost Shelby and Grants water and power bills!
Increíbles fishroom parece un sueño
Those shrimp are absolutely amazing....Wish they were over here in the UK! Grant and Shelby clearly know their stuff. Amazing stuff you guys! I absolutely love my tanks and want more but this is an insane amount of tanks!!! The constant noise from all those air pumps all over the house would probably drive me crackers😅🤣😂..........great video as always Nick...keep up the amazing content! Really love it! Make sure you stop by if you are ever in the UK doing a tour 😘
I thought the same thing but it's not as bad as you'd think. I really don't hear the actual pumps but the bubbles in each tank. It's kinda relaxing well to me anyways. I was shocked by the tanks when I seen it in person and they didn't even have every tank full of water, they have some bigger tanks empty.(I'd say around 50+ gallons each)
@@nathanhoveyaquatics amazing that you got to see this place in person. Must have been a brilliant tour
@@FMAquascapes yes it was, I honestly didn't even get to see everything/tank/bin ect.
You can get most of these Caridina Shrimp Varieties in the UK.
Thought my 17 tanks was crazy 😂 ❤
I think they like shrimp :)
So great you’ve been able to see so many tanks here in the US, and in several states, yes? That’s so awesome 👍🏽
I like your guppy ❤
The number of tanks in that house is insane. There is hardly any living space left.
Wow, big video, I love it
I feel like they should just rebuild their back yard and have another building constructed over that swimming pool area dedicated as the main fish room. no need too big since its mostly 10 gallon. that way they dont need to squeeze everything into their living space. given their son and daughter will eventually grow up to be a teenager. I dont think they would like to have 50 tanks in their living space with their parent coming in on a daily basis.
I absolutely love this guys collection of nerf guns.
Such a cool collection. This dude desperately needs a warehouse (or another house) so his family could have a home again.
Maybe there as into as he is. My wife is completely fine with me collecting
My dream ❤
hey man do you know anyone breeding crawdads? some dwarf crays aswell i would love to see that and even add some to my aquarium
Wow Grant and Shelby’s setup remind me of this low key breeding setup I saw in Japan a couple years ago. Let me tell you little story….
I knew this guy known as “Garlic-Noji” he was friends with Coryoji.
He was a cousin of Kinoji, who studied at Django Kiyoji.
He moved to a place called Crustiji, where he met Mrs Kanishki.
There they had a kid name Gobi, who grew up to become a Blazing Pillpoji
Quick question - if the tanks are RO water why the frequent and large water changes?
Those are two massive shrimps
how do they clean the water droplets that would get on the glass between tanks?
This man is the legend.
Legit!
Hey can we get a update on the zebra plecos
And also if they breed again can you get a yellow king tiger pleco to breed with them they would be hella expensive and cool
i love tour videos sm
I would love to build a 4ft Australian biotope could you please help me with figuring out what fish and plants to put in, what type of rainbow and gudgeon combination should I have?
i have blue bolts ( caradina) in 27 degree temp and they do perfect all the time and even bred unintentionally. is that normal?
very nice video! you definitely had more time than I did last week 😂
What was that ludwigia plant?
How often do you feed the shrimps?
❤
When he said “I know nothing about building with wood” I believed it 😂 800 lbs of water held up by 12 screws in his sons room ☠️
I could watch this once a week for several months and still be confused lol. I gotta say it was awesome meeting y'all when you visited TGOE and I'm sorry Grant but this video is a better tour of the shrimp house then I got in person lol..
could i keep the raccoon tiger shrimp with blue dream shrimp ?
Yow! Man's got the real Dagestani- Samba wrestler vibe 😂
Is his system all air driven⁉⁉⁉
I’m surprised by all the water guns 😂😂😂😂
Hi Grant and Shelby enjoyed this video Charlotte Expo Steve Humphrey
Thank you 😊
His shrimp are so active, mine act like I feed them Diazepam.
Hello there hey I'm freaking out my angel fish had babies I collected them after they started swimming and put them in my 10 gallon planted tank and I've noticed that they are dieing what do I do
Hi Nick i am 13 and want to breed and sell fish i live in Nz so its pretty similar to Australia i watched all your videos on that topic can you give me any advice?
44:00 what’s coming out of those shrimp?
poop 💩
Id have to pee so much
That's a lot of shrimp, I hear them say water changes I get confused as a lot of people say don't and just do top ups. What is the best way to keep shrimp.
That really depends on the type of shrimp. Caridina are a lot more sensitive in most cases then neocaridina.
Just keep things stable what's needed will be different based on your water source and tank setup.
He said there's a Smorgasbord of substrates.
About 420. Right on brother.
hello can i have 1 to keep
so cool, can not get them in New Zealand (banned)
FLUVAL MAKES BUG BUFFET
That's bug bites
1:50:00 what species is this?
Ornate diamondback terrapin 😊
@@tgoeshelbykaye5252thank you 👏
Doggy Doft❤🎉
What's the scientific name of the "best turtle" 🤔
Shelby! Stand your ground and reclaim your house back to your family!!! I know you want to!
i find it interesting how yall critter keepers call your animals “my work”. yall also refer to a whole genetic line as “my creation”. this isnt hate btw i just find it really interesting. thanks for the video KFS!!
I think part of it is the time investment and also being the conscience decision maker of the direction of genetics/traits.
Exactly! These lines have been perfected by shrimp keepers all over, they just can’t take all the credit
@@Rlest1hdepends whether thier working on someone else's line or starting thier own from wild types.
@@sewerrat7612eh I think people can definitely create their own line from someone else’s or a combination of someone else’s or multiple people, not just wild
@markvickery5894 possibly but when does it actually become a other line. And not just a slight difference on someone else's work. Not that thiers anything wrong with that improvement is still improvement.
Hubba hubba
Why don't shrimp share? Because they're a little shellfish
I feel like when those kids are teenagers they are gonna not want shrimp tanks in their rooms😅
Sad their kids cant even have their own rooms and just gets taken over by the parents.
The kids asked for tanks in their rooms 😊
Watch the video, listen to what the dad says! They wanted them in their room.
This is Islam Makhachev in another life 😂
She is hot❤
Easy tiger, she's a married lady ,unless your referring to the sheimp 😅
@@DetectiveLopez. i did talk about the shrimp. What do you mean bro? 🦐 You know what they're saying. Shrimping is Pimping.
So we’re ALL CLEAR. These “PARENTS” have a 100 shrimp tanks right across, literally feet from their son’s bed. How freaking selfish are these ppl. When the kid wants to go to sleep he staring into 100’s of bright lights with filters, heaters, bubblers etc. I can guarantee all these people talk about when speaking with their kids is shrimp. Son: “ dad I’m really struggling with my math homework” Parents: “ well, go to your steamy shrimp room and look at my new orange pink head doja boa koi blue shrimps. Son the whole point of the pinto blue steel tail shrimp is to try to get the neo culls”
Shut up
Wish my parents were into the hobby as much as these guys 😂
There aren't any heaters, the lights will obviously be turned off. I only see sponge filters which sound very quiet. If you listen to the video, the guy explains how his daughter wanted the tanks in her room, like her brother. This allows them to earn a living, in fact you could argue it's better than these parents who work away from home etc.
Just so we're ALL CLEAR. You think that shrimp are under lights for 24 hours a day, and you ignore the part where he says he keeps the rooms around 70 degrees, which is perfectly normal room temperature.
Interesting but what an overkill. It would have been better just to have shown a quick overview with just a few shrimp pictured. To see 100s of shrimps all almost exactly the same got a bit boring.
kinda of boring.
So interesting. 🩷
Yo, Where is this guy located?? Does he ship ..I'd appreciate info to contact...nice quality...nice video! Thanks
