Happy Thursday, jems! In this video, I sit down and have a chat about confidence. If you'd like to share any tips or life lessons on how YOU became more confident, please write it in the comments! đ
You know what consumes me? The fact that I'm turning 30. I don't know why I find it so scary, but I do.
This tips are really helpful ! I always struggle with being confident and I'm still learning. Thank you :)
LittleMissSunshine you should watch 13 going on 30, make 'thirty, flirty and thriving' your mantra đđ»
Thank you so much for this video :) I learned a lot from i. I hopefully be confident to do vlogs, videos :) Thanks again. xoxo
Such a brave and lovely video, Jenn!
Her soul is so beautiful
I never realised that up until a few years ago I walked around looking at the floor and hardly ever looked up because I hated the idea of people looking at me - I thought I would be invisible to people if I stared at the ground. Now that I am older I look around while I walk, put on badass music, and I appreciate nature - focus on the beauty of your surroundings, not other people!
I love this tip!!
Shannon Green +clothesencounters totally!! I used to be so worried about other people that one day I realized I didn't enjoy anything else, now I focus on my surroundings and I like to see how everything changes a little bit everyday, just try to get out of my mind and enjoy the present
Another thing that helps to build confidence is to compliment other people, and lifting each other up. Not only does it give a boost of confidence to that person but also makes you feel good about yourself for doing so. And I so agree on what you said about not talking smack. One time, two girls asked me if I could talk crap about someone. I stayed silent, asking myself why in the world was I hanging out with such negative people. Surround yourself with people who are positive and open minded!!! Also I think it is important that whenever you look at yourself in the mirror, focus on the things you actually like about yourself or something you're the least insecure about instead of focusing on your "flaws."

Love this!

totally agree with the eye contact thing. I trained myself not to look people in the face in probably.... middle school? it helped me a lot walking through the halls at school because I had crazy walking anxiety (if that's a thing lol)
Do you really never make eye contact? Of course it depends on the situation but I find that such a weird thing.. If you pass by someone (who is not approaching you in a negative way) you can at least acknowledge they're there by looking at them or saying hi? Maybe it's a difference in culture but I find that a bit rude..
Tessa vo I'm from the US so eye contact is so important, but of course I acknowledge people sometimes. I work at a school and of course I smile and nod at my coworkers. But in crowded places I usually don't make eye contact because it makes me nervous. I guess I'm rude, but it's something that allows me to go out and do stuff, rather than making excuses because I'm scared of getting that anxiety.
That does make more sense to me now though, thanks for the explanation!
This goes off of what Jenn said but I think what has helped me immensely is realizing that everyone is concerned with themselves-- barely anyone actually cares about what you're doing, or how you look. And for the few that do, that's their problem. What they think shouldn't affect you!
SOOOOO TRUE!
MusicalBunny1 thank you! That was a helpful reminder
I started feeling confident when I dropped this boy outta my life, changed my hairstyle to what I wanted and worked out at the gym. Lets go Ladieeees!!! đȘđȘđȘđȘ
yes girl I support you đđŒ đđŒ đđŒ
Thank you Jenn.
I think it's important also to make 'mini' challenges like talking to a stranger, doing something you've never done before.
Humans can be very cruel, offensive, and that for free.
Yesterday I took the bus to go take care of my pony. On the way back, teenagers began to say that the horse odor was "unbearable" while they even live in the countryside. They strated caughing, laughing nervously, saying they will eat horse meat. I was really uncomfortable, even ignoring them. They abused of the fact that I was the only 'stranger', all alone, and they were in a group. Next time I will sympathize with the driver of the bus. It's the only person they can't "control" and in that kind of cases it is important to make allied friends.
So my advise is: ignore negative people, and go talk to the other people:
1. Do not isolate yourself
2. to share you're not alone and
3. don't be affraid to talk to people and eventually make some new friends.
And don't forget to be positive, always.
This will help to gain more confidence in difficult moments.
It took me the hole night to figure out what to do next time lol.
I was so relieved and happy, I was realy good about myself, when suddenly it happened to me. It can happen to everybody.
Great advice ! thank you soo much đ
Great tips, Jen! Dunno how weird this sounds, but it's so aesthetically pleasing to listen to you talk. You're just so eloquent.
I turned 21 last year and I've just begun to love myself.
Time really does make you grow and appreciate yourself a little more đđ
MissMcCafferty That gave me hope :)
Hi Jenn! I'm a 18years old deaf girl studying English in UK from Japan, I was so encouraged by your messages all, thankyou for always adding subs(cuz i'm deaf, subtitles make me understand what u'r saying completely!) i Really really really love you and your channel!â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
I Think that another very important tip is to STOP comparing yourself to other people, because i feel like that's the biggest thing that bring a lot of people down, myself included. Even knowing it's really hard to do we've to.
THIS is quality content (like all your other videos). You use your influence to try to help others empower themselves, you are a gift to CZcams and to us. Thank you Jenn, keep on rocking! You'll always have my support :)
Aww thank you so much for this comment! Really made me smile. n_n
R0CK0Nbaby I totally agree!! đđ
My husband would never watch any beauty youtubers' videos with me except yours!! :) You are the best!!
It's refreshing to see a video about motivation and improving self-confidence without it being sponsored, but I even like Jenn's sponsored videos, too... xD
I completely agree!
The part about music is SO TRUE! It helped me so much. BTS song Not Today is definitely my new badass song! :)
YES
It's crazy how one song can change your entire mood!
I was thinking of the same song! â„
Lunasmoonlight Army's everywhere man. I love it!
i love that song, feel you on that!
I don't understand why you are not gaining more subscribers you create such great content and you are so positive. Also, thank you for this video, this really helped me
Diana Luckman Ikr! She deserves more subscribers!
Diana Luckman I agreeâ€ïž
she already has over 2 million, that's a lot!
Julia S. She deserves more lol đ
hello. Can we be friends? I am a Mongolian.
I got so emotional watching this video, I don't know why but probably cause I can relate so much to it. Every tips that you said are exactly what I've been trying to apply to my life and they just sort of lived in my head cause I thought it's my own way of coping with things but they actually work on other people too. Just finished college and basically in that place where I don't know where life would take me but you delivered such strong messages and that truly inspire me. Not a lot of people can make inspiring and motivating videos with straightforward messages cause sometimes they're overshadowed by useless talks that's just circling around the topic but you've done it brilliantly. I hope you can continue doing this because you truly are a remarkable person and you may not realise it but many of your videos have helped many people, including myself.
Along with not judging others, actually complimenting others has increased my confidence. đ
For me as well! It showed me how to appreciate even the little details of someone, be it their personality or looks, and made me notice the little things about myself that I can love.
Kaya Rist yes Kaya! Exactly! đ†it takes confidence to notice the good in others but I definitely believe by making that effort even when it feels less natural can be a beautiful confidence-builder as well.â€â€ also, I love your name, it's beautiful đ
This video couldnt have come in a more convenient time. I was just starting to feel like shit and i needed that self esteem boost, so thank you Jenn! Your positivity can rlly influence other ppl â€đ
Aww, I'm glad this video could help. I hope your day picks up, love!
OoooOOooh, yes jenn! That confidence playlist is đđ»đđ»đđ»
krist & yu I watch your videos and they are all so awesome! Didn't know you were subscribed to Jenn as well... đ
u are heeeeeeerree
Such a relief to hear someone else had felt like they so desperately wanted to be themselves but didn't know who they were. That's what I am feeling right now. This video was great, thank you, Jenn !
Wow this video is amazing, Jenn. It is definitely and standout that I will definitely re-watch.
Ok, personal story time: When I was in middle school, a couple of friends and I were mugged while walking from school to the subway. It was very scary and the guy made an example out of me by slashing my face with his knife. I'm telling this story because this incident left a huge scar on face. Although I later learned how to use makeup to make it less obvious, it would always show and it is always the first thing people notice about me. Needless to say, my confidence took a hit.
I know that most of the subscribers here will have insecurities relating to their appearance as opposed to anything else. In high school, I took a philosophy class where I learned about Shcopenhauer's "Will to live." I won't really go into it but the general idea is that matter, or our physical selves is not what the world is made of. It is 'will' that is the key to life.
This always stuck with me because it meant that for humans/people, our hopes, desires, needs, and goals are what make up who we are and encourage us to keep living. This was all just a long-winded way of saying that it's what's on the inside that really counts, lol.
I'm sorry this was so long but I guess I felt inspired to write this.
P.S. My favorite songs to listen to when I'm down are "September" and "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind & Fire
Wow, thank you for sharing that. I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you especially at such a young age. It's so inspiring to hear how you learned that the key to life is "will." I agree! Thank you for teaching me something new. Also I LOVE SEPTEMBER By Earth, Wind & Fire. Such a tune especially for a Virgo like me. (:
Was the philosophy class you took IB TOK?
Nah it was called Metaphysics, Ethics, and Death. It was a private high school so they could teach whatever they wanted.
For me I'm just learning that it is ok to be 20 and single, and that I am not perfect. And that Jesus is my best friend .â€
D'ya Francois I've been scrolling through the comments to find one like yours. Thanks! Wish more people would realize the true source of confidence, that is Jesus. When you put your confidence, faith in Jesus, all your anxieties go away. He is my rock.
This resenates with me so much but also hurts reading. I lost my connection to Christ not too long ago and can't seem to get back to Him. I remember when I devoted everything to Him, I was the happiest I had ever been. I don't know what's wrong with me right now.
This was me too! I felt disconnected from Him for actually a year or so, but I never forgot how happy I had been, and I used that as a drive to help me get back to Him. I can happily say that I've been on the right track for a few months now, and I just hope that I can get back to where I was before, surpass that, and continue to grow in Him! Don't lose sight and you will come back to Him. x
FierceEars God is always waiting with open arms never for get that. Just continue to pray and seek him and he will reveal himself to you. I was also like that, but like everything you have to wait and have patience. I will be praying for you. â€đđ
Ellen Truong You will God is faithful to do it.Just keep trusting in him and he will get you where you need to be.â€
we're definitely on the same psychological level, Jenn! I used to be so paranoid of people looking at when as well, and avoiding eye contact and faking it until you make it is literally the best advice I took and would give about being more confident.
Sometimes making mistakes that feel right , make you into a bigger person. I graduated a semester late , and failed planty classes in high school. In other people's eyes , I was failing and making mistakes that would mess up my life. But taking the time I needed to graduate and taking life at my own pace made me stronger today. I hadn't failed classes because I was doing " bad things " , I was going through personal issues and wasn't ready to tackle everything on my plate. Now, I'm ready to tackle my future with much more confidence , strength, and make good choices. Just because others don't believe in your choices , doesn't mean you shouldn't.
Thank you for talking about driving. I get anxiety and i really hate driving but sometimes it's not an option but a necessity. I don't think any youtuber has really talked about driving and driving tips but I would love it if you talked about your driving experiences an so on.
Jasmin Dekker I used to be so anxious about driving but because i was forced to drive a far distance for work im more comfortable on the road.
Just like Maureen, I was forced to get over my fear by driving really long distances for a period of time. Just know that with each drive you do, you are a step closer to feeling more secure on the road.
Thank you so much for using your precious time to answer us, Jenn!
I'm going to keep take a screen shot of this and save it for ever. I can't believe Jen answered back, I'm extremely happy now!! :D
I used to be very afraid of driving, now I'm a lot more comfortable and drive everyday. But I still haven't driven on the highway or driven a far distance or road trip, any tips?
TĂșktÄ Stay on the right lane for highways if you aren't comfortable. Once you get used to it, you can go to the middle lane. (I still tend to stick to the right lane unless i have to take an exit that is on the left.) Also, as my mom always tells me, don't drive for other. Drive only for yourself. Don't be pressured to go a certain mile just because of other drivers. They can always pass you.
#1 is so important! Super guilty of it as an insecure teen. I'm 24 now and disassociating from that kind of talk has made such a positive impact on my life. Thanks for a great video jen đ
I feel super confident when I'm walking and I smile at someone and they smile back. :)
FilthyHappyFaith That's so sweet of you :)
don't look at other girls and make yourself down, because they have a beautiful body or sth. maybe she looks at you and thinks i want your beautiful hair. you can't see in others peoples head
needed this thank you
alinab15 agree âșâș
i love this
love your sentences, cuz I'm this kind of person, hope I can change, thx in advance.
i love ur idea so much.. thank u â€ïž it made me feel happy
Any BTS song makes me feel amazing
Which song is your favorite?!
bTS - Butterfly is my favorite!
The Cypher series (especially Pt. 3 and 4) are amazing songs to play when you're powerwalking down the street!
OK this is literally so extra but ANYYYY bts song, in terms of being confident and that tho:
- Cypher (part 3 & 4)
- 21st Century Girls
- Joke (by one of the members Rap Monster)
- Agust D (by one of the other members)
- 1Verse (by J-Hope, another member lol)
- Baepsae/silver spoon
- Dope
- Ma City
- Save Me
Oh my god. Once Cypher part 3 is on there is no holding back! I jump and dab around like V. :D
Everytime nowdays when I have difficulties about something I think:
"God gave me this challenge. He wants to see if I can make it or not. Everyone has their own challenges, but if you can make it or not that's more important."
"If you really want to succeed sometimes you have to fail first."
"Don't be jealous about someone. They have fought their way. If not, that's their gift and you have your own. Everyone has their gift. Embrace yours."
I love this, Jen! You're so right, being confident really does start with being comfortable and happy with yourself :) It doesn't happen overnight and it's helped me to realize that we're all insecure about some things, but accepting that we are who we are and accepting others for their quirks and uniqueness makes life a lot more positive
Jenn you are such a beautiful person, inside and out. I've been a follower of yours since your thrifting days and it's been really cool getting to see you grow into the wonderful being you are today. I hope to one day radiate confidence like you do. đ much love x đ
You've grown so much over the years Jenn, it has been beautiful to watch you, thanks for letting us be a part of your life and journey. đ These are all excellent tips.
its funny because since last year I've been struggling with this "be myself" thing more and its gotten a whole lot better. I gave myself my much desired bangs and just this weekend cut about 4 inches off my hair and I've been buying more of the kind of wardrobe that i want which is very retro and hipsterish influenced, so definitely all the things that Jenn talks about I've already been applying to my life for the past year and they work and have made me feel more at home with myself.
You're so beautiful inside out Jenn! Thanks for reminding other people that there's so much more that adds to life other than just dressing up and putting on that lipstickđđđđđđŒ
how i became more positive was realizing how everything is dependent on perspective. i can easily make a bad news good news if i choose to see it in a different way, i.e to spot the silver lining. as such, i came up with this mantra for myself: everything happens for a reason and there's always a blessing in disguise. this makes any past mistakes or negative emotions a great turnaround because i don't regret anymore - i just see them as valuable lessons. this came at a point in time when i felt very cynical about life. so i'm grateful. been positive for the past four years already :)
am i the only one who was reminded of sailor moon by her hairstyle?? đđđ ITS SO CUTEEE
Yesss! Total Sailormoon vibes.
I LOVE IT!!! you've inspired me to binge watch episodes when i get home đ
I LOVE IT!!! you've inspired me to binge watch episodes when i get home đ
Omg K-POP helps me feel confident all the beautiful voices like BTS or EXO or GOT7 đđđ
Skincare Junkie lol
Skincare Junkie i love Twice
I was literally about to say BTS too. When I listen to "Not Today" and all the Cypher songs, I feel pretty damn badass LOLOL
SAMEEEEE
its okay if you dont like it. I dont.
I didn't start getting to know myself and feel confident in myself until I started weeding out the unnecessary people in my life and building on the relationships that matter the most to me. I didn't realize how toxic some relationships were in my life until I learn to let go.
honestly this is such a fantastic idea for a video Jenn! I have always noticed what a confident person you are, or at least seem. It's beautiful â€ïž â€ïž â€ïž
Hey Jenn,
This is the first time I comment one of your videos, although I've been following your channel almost since the beginning. I just wanted to tell you that one of your quotes rules my life and is the one that gave me confidence over the year, and it is: "To gain confidence, you need to try risky things, get out of your confort zone. It will be uncomfortable at first, but you will unconsciously earn confidence. That's truly the only solution."
To this day, I apply it and I tell my friends about it, because without it I don't know if I would have had enough mental energy to survive. So thank you Jenn đ
I absolutely LOVE that quote. Thank you for sharing!
Nana A I needed that today, thank you!
It's a pleasure to see that it helps everyone ^^
So beautifully worded Jenn! It's so encouraging and really shows that it takes time and process for someone to get to where he/she is at and that everyone gets through that point if they wanna grow to be a better person! Love you jean xxx
Thank you so much! n_n
I love to go back to this video whenever I am in need of a confidence boost, I don't think you'll see this in the sea of comments that you get, but your outlook on life is beautiful and one that I inspire to have. Thank you for your platform and for using it to uplift others. You are truly my inspiration
Thank you for this. I've been in such a horrible rut and this is what I really needed to hear. Thank you for not just talking the talk, but walking the walk as well. Your confidence radiates out of you in every video. Love you!
Wow I really needed this âŁïž I just started a youtube channel and am afraid to do my thing. It's hard not to care about views and the opinions of others
I keep trying to remind myself that in the end, I'm not going to lose anything because some old acquaintance thinks I'm lame and that I won't achieve happiness by letting others dictate how I live my life :D
Same here! And started my youtube channel too lol!
Exactly! You keep doing you! Also your vintage lookbook is filmed and edited SO well!
clothesencounters omg that means the world to me! thank you so so much âŁïž
me too :)
love your hair style đđ can you make a tutorial?
Definitely!
clothesencounters i wanna know ur hair colorrrrrr
she said in other favourites videos that there's not specific name for her hair colour since her friend does her hair
99Zoombaful oohhhhh got it thank uuu
Honestly this type of video is so helpful! Don't worry about being preachy! I've watched so many confidence videos and yours is the only one that really seems to have hit home with me! You have ideas that nobody might be able to offer! Much love
aww thanks for sharing this, jenn! definitely agree with all your points! i'm 26 and i feel like i recently just became more comfortable in my skin. i feel a big part of it is the OG youtubers who i've followed for years who have reminded me that we're all beautiful, imperfections and all, to fill your heart with love instead of hate, and whatever you do to just OWN it, fuck what others will think! (: watching this in the morning definitely brightened up my friday đ
Thank you for talking about these really important things.I always feel inferiority because of my body stature and my wearing style,my classmates are all looks goegeous, they sometimes judge about me to my face, even they are just joking but i still feel uncomfortable. I want to be myself! Your video always encourage me to do what I want to do,thanks a lot!
thank you, I really needed this :) I just love your mindset and overall outlook in life, and that mindset is one of the reasons why I look up to you so much. stay great, mom
I always love watching Jenn's videos because of her positive vibe she gives out. You're amazing Jenn, and your positivity constantly rubs off on me and makes me feel so much better on shitty days â€
I would definitely say that finding "your people" helps you figure out who you truly are, which helps you build confidence. I'm near the end of my junior year in college, and I am a completely different person than who I was when I was a freshman. You meet so many different types of people in college and they help you uncover your true inner self.
I can listen to Jenn talk all day! Jenn you're probably not going to see this, but I just wanna let you know that I feel like a better person watching your videos, you inspire me to be you one day. I hope to meet you in person soon I love you so much keep doing whats you're doing girl.
this is so great! its amazing seeing big youtubers create content that can help their viewers be comfortable in their own skin...YOU ROCKđđđ
Aww, you guys have had such an impact on me. I wanna share everything I've learned with you guys to help in anyway.
Videos like this are the reason I've stuck around so much. You have will always be my favorite youtuber due to the fact that you're always trying to empower us and make us feel special and confident. Please keep it up and thank you so much! đ
You have the sweetest heart Jenn, I have gained so much confidence just from watching your videos and embracing what makes me happy. You're right, judging others only makes people feel more insecure, so I love that your comment sections are filled with positivity and encouragement :3 Please make more videos like this!
Am I the only one who observe Jenn's subscribers count? can't wait for you to hit 2M!! đ
Love this video, Jenn!
Could you make a hair tutorial of this hair do? I love it đ
Thank you so much for this Jenn. I really needed this right about now â€â€
I always used to care about what people thought of me. So much so that I wasn't myself because I wanted to fit in. It wasn't until college that I stopped planning my whole life around what others might think of me. Any step towards being yourself is a huge confidence booster.
your character is sooo admirable!!
Thanks Nicole!
"We are little bits and pieces of everything we've experienced" â€â€â€
The way you say it radiates in the number of your subscribers who know and FEEL the sincerity in ALL of your words. it just shows that you are applying these steps because it just shows in you, your success, and your life! You deserve what you have now. It makes you even more beautiful Jenn. I will get this started just like you did. thank you :)
thank you so much for this, jenn. You're such a beautiful person and these words of encouragement and confidence are what i needed desperately. I constantly go back and fourth between how my life will end up and i started my youtube channel recently and i just needed that thank you sm ily
this has nothing to do with confidence but omg jenn your hair looks so cuteđđ
You speak english so clearly. And you sound like a native english speakerâ„ïž. Maybe your first languange is english, so lucky
yeah she was born in america lmao
UGH JENN thank you so much for this! I feel like you're so self reflective and the power of knowing yourself goes a long way. Thank you for another great video
Loved when you said "We're just bits and pieces of everything we've ever experienced"!! So true!
Current confidence song is Not Today by BTS. That song would instantly make me want to get out of bed in the early mornings and just kick ass. Love this vid Jenn đ You never disappoint đ
sun-rise Yaaass. The message of that song is really great. BTS army here~
sun-rise Yaaass. The message of that song is really great. BTS army here~

Also 21st century girs and Cypher part 3&4đđđ
dude I am 23 an have no license because I am terrified of driving but this really helped and is pushing me a little more, THAK YOU!!! I wish you could teach me how to drive lol... ughhhh!!!
Kassy Ca I was the same as you a year ago now I drive everywhere! give it a go and you will see how you can do it and get more and more confident :)
So happy to see somebody the same age worried about driving lol! Good luck to you!
Kassy Ca omg I'm 22 and still no license cause I hate driving too! I always worry about the smallest things like traffic and how am I gonna get into the next lane lol I feel so lame for it but I'm so happy I'm not the only one!
You can do it!
I'm 22 and still refuse to go on freeways because it's scary lol I thought it was only međ all my friends got their lisence straight out of high school if not I'm high school
trying to do new things can also build up confidence. i've been living in my comfort zone for so long. when there's something challenging to do, i would make excuses and just quit before getting started. now i found that i had lost confidence on myself. but i've decided to be brave and have a try on whatever i want to do!! i'm learning to be confident. thanks for the tips. it's helpful.
Something that makes me confident is to invest time and effort in my appearance: just really taking care of my hygiene and skin, spending time playing with make-up and hair, making sure not to put myself down, wearing and experimenting with clothes that make me look and feel good. Also, taking selfies that I like, for my eyes only! HUGE confidence boost!
Ok also I looked at your playlist and it's BASICALLY all my favourite songs... all the ones from Majestic Casual in particular!! You have some badass music taste gf đ đ đ
My highschool quote was "the limit does not exist" - Cady Heron hahahah
I think the first advise you gave is the best one. Years ago I had so low self esteem and when I stopped judging other I started to be more positive about myself and also FREE TO DO EVERYTHING I LOVE AND ENJOY without worrying what anyone would think :) great video btw!
Five years later and this advice is still relevant and solid! Thank you so much, I needed this. â€â€
Haha same, i try not to look at people passing by, but sometimes they're ppl i know, and they end up thinking i ignore them đ
Hahah! If they're friends you know, they'll wave and stop you. (:
i love you jenn!!!
Love you too!
ahhhhh! i remember a few years ago you replied to my tweets 3 times hahahah thanks for making my day
I actually worked out to your playlist the day your video came out! The Odezsa "all we need" put me in the zone âš
Thank you for filming this video Jenn! đ I'm super happy to hear your own thoughts on personal growth. Please continue to make more videos like this! Not only is it super helpful but I love the way you talk and explain things. It's calming and relatable.
I'm so scared of driving I've been putting off getting my license for awhile bc driving gives me anxiety and I don't want anything bad to happen. Gonna try and work on it
Thanks for the vid!
Yes, definitely work on it! Thank you for watching!
clothesencounters đđâš
Ok. I really need to learn how to do that hairstyle. đâ€
Thanks Jenn! Lately I've been feeling so down and lost of confidence because I feel helpless. I've started playing the sports I used to play and I'm no longer used as I was; playing with more experience players gave such a heavy pressure on me to do well but it made me lost my confidence. Thanks for letting me know again that I'm doing things I want to do because I want to enjoy and it's fun. Love you lots xxx
thank you so so much for opening up and sharing these life lessons and words of advice! especially that part about having to stretch if you want to grow and absorbing and experiences things is so important to me.. i'm always in this bubble in my head and know that i should do something about moving forward... music is so so important to me as well, i love to listen to songs that remind me of my favourite artists who make me feel safe, or dreamy songs that make everything seem like a movie :3
I remember having the FIRST song that makes me so confident whenever I listen to it and I was so amazed because it was a first for me haha. I think it was Don't Leave Me from BTS.
two songs i listen to that make me feel badass are "My Song 5" by HAIM and "PRBLMS" by 6lack :)
also im obsessing over your hair in this. looooved this video, perfect timing.
This video is really comforting. In high school I was at my lowest point, I had zero confidence but then I started listening to kpop, became interested with lots of asians things and fashion. I'm not there yet but I feel like I've grown so much and I do feel much better now. You've always been a very good example and support to live your own live as best as you can. thank you Jenn your positive energy is inspiring. And I looove that Oscar Wilde quote, just amazing. grtz ^^
"So the next time you're about to bad-mouth someone, or judge someone, just realize that it's a cheap form of conversation or thought.'" Gawd I love this so much. I literally rewound the video so that I could hear you say it again. This is so true. I love your fashion videos Jenn, but I also get super excited when you make these "off-brand" (??) videos. From what I've seen of you through your channel and the videos I've watched, you are a well-rounded person, much like your taste in music. So it is always interesting to hear your take on things.
Badmouthing and having an opinion are two different things. Just a reminder.
either ways, if its negative, you should just shut up.. lol cuz ur point is still not relevant in Jenn's case.
If your opinion is hurtful to others and doesn't affect you in anyway it is irrelevant and not worth uttering. It just turns you into a prejudiced person, and ultimately affects your own person negatively.
"The more you do something, the easier it becomes"
Thank you so much Jenn, to know that others struggle with the same thoughts as me is soothing and your words help me build my way up to the level of confidence I want!
thanks jenn, this was seriously so uplifting and even though it was something as simple as a youtube video, your passion and the advice that you gave really are some things that make me want to consider the things i do!!! so much love for you and your videos. keep on doing what you're doing xx
Loved what you said about not judging others! I used to gossip and think bad thought of others in high school just to bring myself up but knew it felt wrong. It wasn't until college when I figured through Jesus that that shouldn't be life. Now I'm confident in who I am through Christ and God. I might not have it altogether but it really doesn't matter what other's personal opinion of me is only God's. Having that mindset I make sure to respect others for sure but I'm not fixated on this phenomena of what do others think of me :). I'm not sure if you believe in God or not but that's the only true freedom and confidence I could have truly established in my life and would encourage anyone to do so :)
go to gym and keep fit will definitely help improve confidence !! One can be confident in a shaped figure !!
You put it in the perfect words for me! I'm obsessed with trying to figure out who I am. I'm 21, I just graduated and started a job I've always wanted but I feel like I still haven't 'found' myself and that's been really getting me down lately because I was 100% sure that by hitting those milestones, I'd be closer to just feeling comfortable with myself. But I think you're right. I think I need to step back and just take opportunities, do the crazy things I feel like doing and just absorb!
thank you for existing jenn! im just so ugh i dont know u inspire me and im just grateful for that
I'm watching this video because I have an impromptu speech next week and I'm literally shitting myself lol đđđ
Practise as much as you can and I hope you do well! ( I know how you feel I just did a prez yesterday xD)

One thing that I have learned is to except and love yourself for who are and what other people think of you it doesn't matter. At the end of the day what matters the most is that you're happy with yourself and it helped me a lot to become more confident in myself.
I just hit this empowerment video now, and itâs absolutely worthy for me. As a person going through the process to know myself, your every word cheer me up a lot x
