    Watching this 9 years later blows my mind because I forgot how good their defense was full court pressure all game and to start the game they will suffocate you with all the energy they had now we don’t have have an AD we have no president and the coach quit on us mid season

    Either way, I give credit to Louisville. They are truly and excellent team and deserved the win. Louisville players and Pitino were had nothing but good things to say about our team and that means a lot. The things the said in there interviews after the game really earned my respect. Good luck

    But on a serious note the hardest thing to watch about Kentucky is Alex poythress the amount of god given abilities this guy posses and then his major lackadaisical approach and. he has no aggressiveness at times (other than some thunderous dunks he shows every now and then)what so ever. OBVIOUSLY hes 19 and its the very early in this kids career to tell whether hes gonna change but if he does boy, can he be a talent. 240 body nice touch, hits a great percentage of threes.ALEX BE A BEAST FOR FS

    Down 7 with seconds to go. Cats were not in this game at the end. The 4-point play is meaningless. Great win, Cards!!!

  • @251to502
    @251to502 Před 11 lety

    80-77 is an ironic stat, because the last time Kentucky lost, it was a 3 point game (74-71, Freedom Hall - Jan 4, 2009). The previous game, Kentucky lost at home by 14 (89-75). As for the Cards, they made the Elite 8 both in '08 (lost to #1 UNC) and '09 (lost to #2 Michigan State, which is obviously why the selection committee put the Spartans in our bracket this past season).

    scoring 15+ points doesn't change the fact that he was not creating plays for the rest of his teammates, i agree that they shudnt have been so close with all the freethrows they missed, but Harrow wasn't even bring the ball up the court in the full court press most of the time, i just think he needs to lead the team better, and when u look at the production of players like Goodwin, Mays and Poythress earlier its clear that they arent getting the looks they want now

    As a UK fan I was not really that mad after the loss. Louisville is either the best or second best team in the nation, on their home court and the constant reminder of the 4 game losing streak. I will take that final four victory over Louisville over losing a regular season game to them. Pitinos best team at Louisville and the worst UK team since Cal has been here and they STILL barely beat us. It wont change the one sided rivalry this has become. This year is the exception, not the rule

  • @jessicabenbow8020
    @jessicabenbow8020 Před 11 lety

    I know a W is a W, but lets face it Louisville is not playing like a #3 team, they almost got beat by Kentucky, and we had just made it back into the top 25, they should of at least beaten Kentucky by more than 3 points. really it should've been a blow out. deff not hating, just speaking the truth. Go Big Blue :)

    A big part of coaching is recruiting, and Cal gets his job done when it comes to that. Your right, Cal gets people who are projected to be good, please tell me what is wrong with that.
    BTW... Kentucky is going to have one Hell of a squad next year.

  • @TheDukeUni
    @TheDukeUni Před 11 lety

    Harrow's inability to play the point guard position well is killing Kentucky! Goodwin, Mays and Poythress are really suffering from it, and this team has no chance at an NCAA title if he keeps playing like this

  • @GTR1nissan
    @GTR1nissan Před 11 lety

    Mays needs to come off the bench and play similar to Darrius Miller Last year.So they can play Goodwin at the 2 Guard

  • @ISpeakTheTruth8888

    First, I want to say Kentucky Athletics only care about Kentucky Basketball, because Kentucky is a basketball loving state. Second, he might not be the best coach, but he is the best recruiter.
    P.S. No coach could have put last years Kentucky team into line, they were "uncoachable".

    wow ok lol, look 1st i never said Harrow played bad, I think he's a good player and 15pts at the D1 level is great. But just look at it this way: Harrow's ability to create plays for his teammates (as point guards do) vs Harrow's ability to create plays for himself. He's just not that good at creating plays for his teammates

  • @DanielRRoof
    @DanielRRoof Před 11 lety

    If Cal is such "great" recruiter why would he get an "uncoachable" team. Give me a break.He can only shine in the light if he has the best 5 guys in the nation out there. Give Pitino and Cal a group of 10 awful guys at the beginning of the year and id bet ever $ to my name that Pitino's squad would wear out Cals.Like you said, Pitino is a coach, Cal is just a recruiter willing to buy out the best of the best coming out of High School.. BTW.. Louisville is returning one hell of a squad next year.

    HAHA! Who beat Louisville in the final four in 2012, to then go on and win their 8th National Championship? If you need a hint your watching the game.
    Like I already said, the NCAA sucked last year, there really was no power team, Louisville just won the championship.
    They should have lost to Duke, and they were going to lose to duke until Ware got hurt, then Louisville got a free ride the rest of the game and even tournament.
    I know it is horrible he got hurt, I do, but it helped Louisville.

    Yeah, watching UL come back and win from behind in a lackluster NCAA tournament last year was cute. At least their first games were in Rupp Arena, that way Russ and co. know where to go when it's time to fetch water for the Harrisons and Randle.

  • @mattbergman7365
    @mattbergman7365 Před 10 lety

    Obviously Kentucky is better than louisville. its simple math 7000ironman, 8 championships is more than 3. unless you and your cards in da ville want to check my math. the only good people you have are smith, behanan, maybe ware, and maybe blackshear. the only reason they are good is because they aren't a bunch of freshman and they are experienced. if our freshman screw up we have more to replace them. have fun when you come to Rupp Arena. i am so with you UK#1

    Please tell me how Kentucky sucks, they won the championship, and the other teams could do ANYTHING they wanted to because the referees were working against Kentucky every game. You may not like Kentucky, but saying they suck is just dumb. 8 Titles and most all time wins.
    They may not be good this year, but no team is really good this year, regardless of what their rank is.

  • @uk1324
    @uk1324 Před 11 lety

    I love how UL fans act as though they blew UK out of the water last year. They barely won by 3, and Siva had to foul out in the process. UK held their own down in the post, and that was with Wiltjer playing significant minutes. The 13-14 squad is going to tear the Cards up this year. UK fans should be more worried about Mich St than the defending national champs that are just trying to stay halfway as relevant now that the usual teams are going to be really good again.

  • @ISpeakTheTruth8888
    @ISpeakTheTruth8888 Před 11 lety

    If the 12-13 UL team played the 11-12 UK team, Kentucky would win easily. Either way, you don't get what I am saying, no team was ever really good this whole season. The #1 ranked team kept losing to unranked teams. So that says no team was really good.

  • @uk1324
    @uk1324 Před 11 lety

    Remember back in Cal's first, second, and third year when UL fans would talk about how they'd rather have their age and experience over UK's highly touted freshmen? Remember how UK would go on to beat UL? Remember how UK stepped over UL in 2012 on their way to title 8? Remember how UL barely got past a shitty awful version of UK last year to break the losing streak?
    Go on, continue to explain how Russ and JUCO guy are going to outshine the Harrisons.

  • @uk1324
    @uk1324 Před 10 lety

    That "super team" played a decent game and did exactly what they were expected by everyone watching to do. We didn't have to foul anyone out to break a losing streak. Who exactly do you think isn't cleared to play? Sorry, it was UL that just lost its top 2 recruits for next year. Don't worry, we'll supply your fans with enough malt liquor to ease their sorrows after Dec. 28.

  • @uk1324
    @uk1324 Před 10 lety

    Of course you aren't scared of many top teams this year. UK is the only one you really have to play hahaha. I'm pretty sure that if I wanted to figure out what's going on in "da ville" as you say, I'd have to call someone in "da ville." Damn, I think after typing that debauching of the English language I can feel a shitty line beard growing in.

    Playing time an issue? And nothing to write home about? hahahahahaha. The UL fans were so butt hurt when he came to UK over UL. They even said that they would have gone all the way that year if he had gone with them. Sure, he's nothing to write home about. He was just an NBA caliber point guard who played a key role in getting a team predominantly made up of underclassmen to a national title as a freshman.

  • @uk1324
    @uk1324 Před 11 lety

    It was weak. The best games were the ones involving cinderella teams like FGC knocking off bigger teams. Please, continue to only reference UK in the 12-13 season even though you're commenting on a page with a game where UK stepped over UL on the way to #8. Be sure to not mention the fact that since Cal took over UL is 1-4 against UK, and UL couldn't even soundly defeat our horribly shitty team last year. If that's all you could do against them, then best of luck with the 13-14 guys.

  • @uk1324
    @uk1324 Před 10 lety

Before that, we beat you for 4 years. But no, looking back more than a season isn't convenient for UL fans. Hell, it'll be the year 2030 and you'll still be talking about that one year when basically all of your sports were good for a year. Hahahahaha
