Yeah, I personally think that some artists could have overtaken nas if they had a longer life like pac or big but nas has proven he can which is why he gets the GOAT title

My top 5 all time is as follows
1. Eminem
2.Rakim
3. Nas
4.pac
5.Biggie
Biggie is not an easy win over Pac. Pac is the reason behind modern rap everything you hear is from Pac. Y'all forgot to mention the diversity in Pac from songs like Changes to Troublesome where is Biggies versatility. Also 3K vs Lupe is tough I loved the direction on those two given both 3K, Lupe, and Kendrick can rap about any and everything and it feels deep. 3k Sorry Miss Jackson vs Life of the Party. Lupe's Kick Push versus All Black everything and Kendrick's Ronald Regan Era/Control vs Keisha's Song/anything from TBAP, DAMN, and MMBS. for me its Kendrick/Tupac
Tupac. No one else comes close.
Nas is the goat it’s a beautiful thing to see that he is finally getting the love he deserves
True, this is the realest video I've seen, just listened to KD3 even imo after illmatic nas had nothing more to prove how great he is, but here he goes at 49 years of age and drops 4 insta classic albums in less than 2 years, truly the best to ever do it

Maybe you guys could do a best rapper of each decade within hip hop. From the 80’s-2020’s.
8 mile soundtrack is by far the most underrated Eminem project. He had amazing production on so many of the songs and his most underrated and best songs are in it.: lose yourself, 8 mile, rabbit run, rap game, wanksta, 8 miles and running all of which slap so hard.
Yeah, I had to stop watching after they chose Kendrick over Eminem because of the discography when they just said they didn't choose Kanye for that same reason since they felt Kanye was a better hip hop artist but not rapper yet they said they chose Kendrick for the discography...

Biggie takes the dub in my opinion. His flow and cadence his mic presence. His voice and how iconic it was. His discography and his classics and the fact that he never had one bad verse.
You could say EXACTLY the same thing about Kendrick, except he has 3x as many albums to pull examples from and demonstrate his consistency. Plus he has way more versatility in his voice and flows and style. Kendrick da GOAT
@@space_orphanwell yeah bc biggie’s dead, also kendrick has like 4 popular songs, and I personally think theyre all not really fun. i love biggies music becasue its fun to lip sync and vibe to, kendrick is very 1 tone in his delivery and hearing “bitch, sit down” isnt nearly as good

Man I've always been one of the many people who have always missed out on Jay-Z most of my life and just generally disliked him like a lot of people.... However, over the past few years, after studying his lyrics and whole work in general it just blows my mind on what he's achieved.. No question he's top 3 on ANY list no cap...

I really enjoyed him on 'Renegade' and 'Niggas in Paris' and his recent '4:44' album.
But most of the time, he has this awful wincing delivery to me, like he's trying to sound cool or exaggerate his voice, it doesn't come across organic to me. I dislike most of his verse appearances despite the lyrical content, all because of his voice
Yeah I'm one of those people that don't care for his music..I tried

2- BIG
3- Eminem
You just found Hip Hop congrats. Hopefully your list evolved a year later.
Great vid as always, really like the way you guys describe each rapper and definitely you have great perspectives. For me Nas is the greatest rapper of all time. Songs like take it in blood, I gave you power, affirmative action, obviously NY state of mind, it ain't hard to tell, represent are just on an other level.
Everybody has their own opinion, but i wish it was an ultimate ranking that could prove nas is the greatest rapper of all time.
Nas is the best and most pure Mc/rapper of all time. He's currently still making classics. The goat of all goats💯💯💯💯💯
Nas is probably the best rapper when it comes to pure skills, especially if you talk about lyricism. Everybody should have Nas in their top 10, maybe even top 5. He's not my personal favorite, but he's really close (My top 5 is Eminem, Pac, Big, Nas and Ice Cube in this order)
@@deathnum2297 Artist: Big > Pac vs Nas > Em > Cube (Hard between Pac and Nas 'cause of some duds in Nas discography, but he arguably made more classics than Pac. We wouldn't know how Pacs discography would have evolved if he was still here...)
Rapper: Em > Big vs Nas > Pac > Cube (Hard here also. Big and Nas both have good storytelling and lyricism, we wouldn't know how Bigs abilities would've evolved if he was still here...)
@@EpicGamertje I wouldn't say that Big is the best of all time, but each one of the 5 I mentioned had something extremely special that made him stand out (Pac's subject matter, Em's rhyming ang wordplay, Big's flow, Ice Cube's gangsta persona, Nas's lyricism)
I agree a couple of these guys can all be on top arguably however the reason I’ll stick by biggie for now is cause how good what we got from him was before he was cut short however if we say biggie would of been the best but can’t be then I’d say nas yeah

I would personally add Biggie to this list and then it's true asf
Awesome content as usual!!!
This discussion/debate will always be generational. As a gen xer, I can't leave Rakim, Melle Mel, Ice Cube and Scarface out of my top ten. Melle Mel's verse at the end of Beat Street is imo the greatest verse in hip hop history, but I wouldn't expect anyone under 40 to put him in a goat conversation. Again, it's all generational perspective. But I appreciate this discussion from a younger generation - especially the nods to 90s legends. Good stuff.

PREACH!!!
The rhyme schemes on Only God can judge me are pretty sick especially the first verse
Exactly, 2Pac got lyrics!
AGREED, and same with Kendrick. IMO 1. Kendrick, 2. Tupac, 3. Nas, 4. Black Thought, 5. Andre 3k, 6. Eminem, 7. Biggie.
It's not even his lyricism, it's his ability to articulate himself so that the lowest intelligence know his message but just enough so the highest can pay attention and know it came from a man of intelligence. No rapper comes close to that, but Nas is better.
andre takes it 100% man never had a bad verse much less a bad song and any artist lucky enough to feature him puts that song in immediate contention for their greatest song ever. That one is hard for me. They’re both in my top 3, and while Eminem is my personal 🐐 (as I’m sure you can tell from my pfp), I can still see the argument for Kendrick. GKMC and TPAB are both damn near perfect albums that are filled with plenty of depth. Every time I listen to either of them, I catch something new. And while I enjoy Eminem albums such as Recovery, Relapse, TES, MMLP, etc. I know that GKMC and TPAB have more depth than a lot of Eminem albums. At the end of the day, I’ll always take Eminem over Kendrick, but I completely understand having Kendrick over Eminem. Both of them will always be hip hop 🐐s whether anyone likes it or not

Big MF DOOM fan here. Would really like to see you guys do a video on his discography
Always Em man....1996-1999 always my favorite era of this guy💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥
wut... weird era...
1996-2003
Infinite is hella underrated...I know people didn't like it from a production standpoint but it's a dope album it was some great wordplay in there for sone
Nas is the best lyricist & no one uses imagery like him.
I'd have to pick Jay-Z on this one. I don't know but his flow is brilliant and his music is addicting for me
Artist: K-Dot > Ye > Hov > Em
Rapper: Em > K-Dot > Hov > Ye
The biggest gaps are between the last two in both instances.
His flow is his biggest knock😅
His flow and lyrics are b tier.his beat selection and production is what carries him not even top 10 as a rapper.maybe as an artist
@@zero-ui1ew casual take. he’s easily a top ten rapper.
@@zero-ui1ew What are you talking about? Jay-Z’s double entendres are unmatched by any other rapper. He’s still one of the most talented rappers in the game and he’s 52. No other rapper can say that
There are rappers that are superior in there strengths for example eminem's technical ability, kanye or outskast overall artisty, wayne's quotables and pac's relatability and impact. But OVERALL I think the greatest to ever do it is Kendrick lamar.
Wow this is the first time I saw a real fare choice of the best rappers of all-time ever selected on CZcams because I used to see a lot of people not recognising/mentioning Nas as the Goat 🐐
But I can see that it's only the real ones can

Nas is the greatest. He is the only guy whose style never changed. everyone else had an evolution and started differently. Nas has always had the same style from when he opened his mouth as a teenager, and he inspired all these other guys. They changed their style after they heard him, thats what u call Boss and a true master of his craft,. he is the ultimate teacher and lyricist
