trap - future (just too many hits and the influence over the genre is undeniable and the consistency in putting out great albums and mixtapes at his rate is also unmatched in the genre for me, shoutout to thugger and jeezy as well)
pop rap - drake (there is almost no debating here)
drill - chief keef (i think pop smoke's discog is actually better but the influence of keef is undeniable as he excelled the drill scene into mainstream and influenced so many quality drill rappers including pop, shoutout to skepta as well)
conscious - lupe or kdot (probably the hardest genre to pin down the best rapper for as there are so many quality discogs throughout this genre but i narrowed it down to these two as kdot has arguably the 2nd best discog in hip hop history which consists of a lot of conscious rap but lupe's entire discog consists of conscious rap while also having an excellent array of projects, shoutout to tupac as well)
mumble - carti (could fall into experimental or psychedelic rap but definitely the most versatile and quality discog between all the "mumble rappers," such a dumb way to categorize rappers btw)
experimental - mf doom (1 of my fav discogs throughout music as a whole, almost no bad songs at all which i don't say for many artists, shoutouts to earl, tyler and danny brown. oh and ye as well due to the amount of genres he's tapped into throughout all his albums and creating new sounds)
gangsta - biggie (another hard genre to narrow down but biggie has arguably a top 3 rap album of all time and another classic album whilst also having a large influence over generations and the skill on the mic is also undeniable. also my pick for the greatest flow in rap history as well. shoutout to wu-tang, cube and 50 as well)
emo - havent quite explored this genre enough yet and therefore don't have much knowledge, would love to hear some suggestions on some artists to explore here!
horrorcore - another genre i haven't tapped into much but i did love what i heard from the limited amount of horrorcore that i tapped into which included blh, early tyler and em
psychedelic - travis (i will admit that i am very heavily biased towards travis as his discog is almost flawless except for a few songs on birds and owl pharaoh but his songs and his ability to take someone to another world is unmatched for me, shoutouts go to cudi, rocky, outkast for aquemeni, shabazz places. just checked out flatbush and holy fuck are they good)
jazz - tribe (not many can compare to their discog in hip hop overall let alone this genre)

DOOM is incredible of course and he's my number one for that category, however I'm a little disappointed that you didn't give Earl a mention. I mean Some rap songs is probably the best experimental hiphop album ever in my opinion. He also has projects like solace, of course Sick from this year, and more. He's also been an extremely influential artist in the underground, inspiring artists like Mavi, Navy blue, Mike, and so many more. So again, DOOM is my number one, but Earl deserves his flowers as well.

Earl and DOOM are more in the abstract hip hop realm than the experimental realm. Yeah, SRS is pretty experimental but imo it doesn't really fit in with other experimental artists such as peggy, danny brown, dg, clipping, injury reserve and LUM.
