That grey connector is for the factory usb connection

My car is a 2012 so it doesn’t have the factory USB connection so that makes sense as to why I don’t have one. Thank you!

I actually did the same thing but now have a buzzing/engine noise from the left side. I think a bad ground??

Is it just like a slight static sound? Sounds like a bad factory ground. Try grounding the headunit to the actual chassis behind the headunit area.
