Mitchell, ON Mitchell Fire Hall Federal Electric Model 2 7/31/23

Well, here we are West Perth Fire's Mitchell Fire Hall siren finally working since 2009. 2009 was the last time the fire siren sounded on top of the old Mitchell Fire Hall before being removed between 2009 and 2012. The siren was reinstalled in the hose tower of the new Fire Hall and was supposed to be tested in December of 2021 but the siren had electrical issues after waiting a year or so. Then this year they finally announced another test for July 31, 2023, at 6:30 pm so I came out and saw the test however I was surprised that the siren was not sounding better and sounded about the same as Milverton's model 2 in terms of pitch and health. You will notice near the end of the test my Canon camcorder's footage stopped and that is because when I pressed stop record after the test the camera froze somehow and wouldn't shut off or anything and was stuck on 16 mins so I had to pull the battery to get it to turn off after that I powered it back on and played the footage with a ? on it and it said Recover Data and I did that however it couldn't recover the data of the last minute or two of the footage so I just used my old camcorder footage to take over for the missing footage. Anyways enjoy!

I'm not exactly sure what is causing the low pitch... it has undergone 2 fixes to the motor after a failed test in 2021.

It does. However, this siren underwent two repairs. The first time they tried it, they had issues and had to be fixed again.
