In reality, do you realize to build anything like this at this magnitude would cost billions and billions of dollars today. The return on costs paid out to build the new Elvis hotel could be years to pay it off from the ticket sales from the fans. And then I bet it's not ever paid off. THEN the utility companies got to make sure they get their thousands of thousands of dollars per month out of the gig. In addition other operating cost is very expensive for everyone loves a wage increase every year. Look at how expensive the utilities is for your home. Geez get in reality and get a life. The crowd really dropped off in the last year or two at the vigils, and the main reason is EPE is overpricing and overcharging for anything they can think of. Wow! Elvis would not have tolerated that guard! Billy, he sounded like a bully! I am glad you stood your ground with him. I noticed he changed his tune fast when you told him you were staying at the Guest House. I can't stand people like this guard; totally uncalled for! Keep being you Billy! TFS!
It probably just scared the guard at first until you explained to him what you were doing. I am glad that he gave you the chance to explain. Be careful . Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day.😇 Tell Lori Hello for Me.
Great night shots of the Graceland Gates ! So quiet now but back in the day I can imagine the fans waiting for Elvis to appear on his motorcycle or in his stutz. I love your conversation with the guard, you really tamed him!
Thank you Spa Guy for taking us around the places linked to Elvis. Is there something going on in and around Gracelands that they don't want people to see, or catch on film, you are doing a really good job Billy catching history on you're cam. Keep up the good work you are doing a fantastic job, and people are right Elvis would want people too have fun.
I remember back in the mid to late nineties when my friend and I would visit Memphis frequently we used to love to just walk around there at night. We stayed at the Heartbreak hotel and would just walk up to the complex (the old one) and walk through it then around the parking lot where the other gift shops used to be and along the gates of Graceland. Nothing was closed! Now, I probably wouldn't walk around there as a female at night but you sure have the right o do so and I love it! I wish they wouldn't have torn down Heartbreak! I feel they certainly could have used it for something, it was a super cool place!
Last time I visited back in 2005 & 2006, Heartbreak Hotel & Graceland Plaza(gift shops and a restaurant)were there. Across the street there was a small business near the church that sold bootleg DVDs of Elvis, etc. I bought a lot from them. The business was called Scott Center back in the day.
Same thing happened to me when I was there in January. I was walking up the driveway filming myself and was told I had to stop filming or leave. I Was going to post about it, but decided not to. Glad you did though. Take care Billy, Ed
@@TheKingsCourt1972 Hello Mr. Ed. Mr Gein is just being a butthead. Dont lose any sleep over that clown. I have my own story about security at Graceland. You, Rossi, and The Spa Guy are the best. Thanks for tightening up Mr. Gein! LOL! Have great day!
Hi Spy guy, I loved what you told the guard about being nice.you really knew how to handle him, Elvis would be proud of you. Elvis Enterprise need to get with it on how to treat fans. They need to stop being so greedy about how much money they can make. Great video.
Good morning! Received the alert and had to see what was new today. You know, they really need a gate or at least a sign saying that area is closed. At least that guard warmed up to you and seemed to be willing to talk. Thanks for standing your ground. The highlight was the Heartbreak Hotel being down at the end of Lonely Street! What a surprise! WOW! Thank you so much, Billy! You know you're vlogs are always the best! If it wasn't for you, many of us would never be able to experience any of this and we are truly grateful. Now on to Finland!! lol Hope you have a great day.
I love it. Your the best Spa Guy. As soon as you caught the guard in a lie where he said that he had encountered you in that same spot and you said you did not, we spoke at the gate a couple of years ago and you weren't very nice then either, and after you informed him that you were staying in the guesthouse hotel and was paying to be there he really tightened up. I really like the way you turned it around without any trouble and he was giving you imformation. Very smart and showed him that he couldn t push you around but you did it with southern style. I also liked how you left the camera rolling and got your footage. I hope that the guard views this and reads the comments so next time he see s someone videoing he will take a moment to ask Sir, are you a guest here and may I ask what you are doing instead of just yelling at someone just because he has some authority. I love the beautiful footage of the gates at night. I can just see Elvis standing there signing autographs for his fans. Things have changed so much. They should be thanking you for all of the advertising you post about Graceland to all of Elvis's fans around the world. Thank you Billy for another great video and for TCB the way you did. Take care and God Bless.
thank you again my friend spa guy for all hard work u put in to this for ever one to see and get to know about .best wist to you may god bless you t.c.b
Very good video Billy! It's amazing how much $$ they put into Elvis Presley Enterprises to increase the business. Thanks again and look forward to your future videos.
To think I was only there 3 weeks ago, I absolutely loved everything about it, loved the hotel too, stayed there 5 nights. This was my first time, I’m coming back in January for his 85th birthday celebrations 🎊 thanks Spa Guy for your fab videos ❤️

I went to Graceland in the summer of 1981. Very pleasant experience. There was little to no staff interference, and you could roam around at will. All of the tourists that i saw were respectable and didn't cross anything that was off limits. I guess that it's turned into a cash grab business, and that isn't cool.
This was great! They need to post a sign like open parks do at the entrance if it is closed. They need to put a chain across the entrance then. It was funny the guy kept talking after he tried to play cop. He ended up being a nice guy. :-D You have a nice way with people Billy. :-) Thank you for the tour!
A little update from I think last weeeek! So I went to Memphis last Thursday and ugh I never wanted to leave! I was so excited to see Graceland and everything Elvis, I also went to Tupelo to see everything Elvis 😂 but I love Memphis, I’m pretty sure half of my heart is in Memphis 😂
I went there in the 80's when you walked up the drive and Graceland wasn't so commercialized, I met his uncle Vestor who was so down to earth and easy to talk to I wish you would have had the chance to meet and talk to him and make ur video
Just love this, I've been to Graceland 4 times, 1st time was just abt 2 months after E passed and I was almost 11 years old, got to meet uncle vester, what a sweet man...I'm ready for another trip ❤❤❤...love your channel spa guy 😊❤...way to handle the situation 😊
SpaGuy, the man was not rude, in fact u were, but hey thanks for keeping it real. The guy to me expected you to respond the way u did. I feel ya brother 😉😎
Bob Stouthuyzen, i totally agree with you that Bob is Elvis. My friend saw him in his churches in Benton n gave many clues that he was Elvis. She met him up close n said he had the eyes of Elvis n the known scars on the hands n face. Bob even said Hang Loose before starting the service. My friend n i know at least 60 clues that Bob is Elvis. He had to changed his name n is now preaching the Word of God n singing gospel songs . This is the path that God wanted him to take n i m glad he is Happy now
What a great way to zip around and do some filming!!! Love the segway travelling, Spa Guy!! Wonderful way you diffused that bit of a headache -- lol. Great footage and thank you for all you do for us. It is hard to see all these changes, though. Great tidbits you got from him. Good job!
Hello Mr Spa Guy. Thanks again for another very, very nice video. You never cease to amaze me! I am glad you stood your ground with the secuity guard. I had an episode with them about 20+ years ago. Let me just say, I was no where near as polite as you were. I was literally man handled and threatened with ejection from the grounds because I had a camera(35 mm, remember them? LOL) with apop up flash. Let me just say, the 2 security guards probably wish they hadn't tried to thow me out or try to confiscate my camera and film. I still have the camera and the pictures I took that day!!! I am sure they were doing what they were told, but my guess is EPE are concened that someone will make a dollar off them and that cant be allowed. After all is said and done, Great video. Thanks for posting.
Billy.....you scared me for a minute out in the street. Be careful .....Great video and enjoyed it.....The guard was kind of jerk and Elvis would not like his attitude. He probably makes minium wage anyway. Stay safe Billy and you are so nice and I wish I could meet you one day...God Bless You
Went to Graceland a couple of years after they opened it to the public. It was really nice. Had a nice conversation with the head security guard which turned out to be Vester Presley, Vernon's brother. Didn't have any idea who he was at first. Went back 10 years later and it was nothing like before. Not near as personable. The tour was more like an amusement ride. What a shame.
I wouldn’t of been as nice. Here here him back down once you stood your ground. Been to Graceland way back when. 5 times. Just a big money grab now Still love it
Well the conversation ended up okay. I thought how you rolled up to the gates was really cool. Love those gates. I like the old set up better but everything changes. Nice vlov Billy👍🏻😎
Hi Sir Spa.. that would have got my back up too! It’s an open space with no barriers in which therefore looks like it’s free to walk upon and they tell you it’s closed. Either put up a gate/barrier or a clear sign indicating it’s closed. And that security guard I think after your comments about his attitude and your filming he felt obliged to have to speak to you or it could have had repercussions. He could have approached it in a friendlier way from the outset..simple! Good for you sir. Keep up the brilliant filming of Elvis’s life..don’t know what I’d do without it now 😇
I saw two limos drive in at 12pm , they told me to live the area and I had to show them wat I had filmed, and the police told me to delete or else, that was in December 2018
I used to be in that line of work. I don't know about this guard, but I was armed. That looks like an area where you would need to be armed, at least at night.I worked at a location that was frequented by a lot celebrities including our current President. I found that most of the public were easy to get along with it was the celebrities who caused most of the problems! Lol That being said, I still really enjoyed working there. Great video.
Priscilla and the others in charge need to do something about these employees. Elvis would not like his fans shown anything other than friendliness and respect.

I plan to cove visit Graceland sometime later in year or next year.( spa guy could you tell me when you you think the best time to visit. Quiet time.) I would be very disappointed if I had to deal with a security guy like him. Would dampen trip. I am from. Australia. Loved the way you handled this gentleman
I remember I use to walk from the heartbreak Hotel across the little timber Bridge and around the back of the planes through to where the ticket offices and souvenir shops used to be and it was all free area to walk around... Any place closed should be gated and signed.... You disarmed his rudeness with laughter and chat... Good job friend..
You're such a hooligan breaking the rules😂Oh you sly fox! We see how you whittled your way into conversation with the guard. Boy he just opened right on up 😂
I pulled my little Nissan pickup truck right up to the gate around midnight in 1995. Super cold outside and the gate guard immediately walked out and asked if I needed anything. I told him I always wanted to see Graceland and wouldn’t be there very long. He said ok and walked back into the guard house. They don’t mess around, if something catches their attention they move quickly.

I am as poor as a church mouse(!) and so will never be able to see Graceland and the other places in real life but your videos are filmed so well and explore the area so well that it is just like actually being there. Thank you so much from an Elvis fan in England.
Are you serious? A church mouse?
@@garyfuiten5126 Just an old saying Gary. I will never be able to go to the USA so the videos Spa Guy makes are a great opportunity for me to experience detailed visits to some interesting places I will never see in real life.
@@peadarmacconnmhaigh4337 I've been to Graceland twice. If you and your family can get to Wisconsin I have an extra room you can stay in for no more than a week for Free. If you're a good driver you can use the Explorer for the week, free. That's assuming you and your family are honest people. It's up to you. Let me know.
@@garyfuiten5126 Thank you Gary for your very kind offer. My family and I live in England and circumstances mean we could not take up your generous offer. Thank you again for your offer of help to me a stranger. God bless you and your family.
See Mr guard, you have a job to do, but you can be polite and ask nicely first. Look how you had a conversation and chatted with Spa Guy for a little bit about Elvis and the area and gave some nice info and then both went happily on your way. :)
What a goober....clearly a legend in his own mind.😏 another stellar performance Billy👍
I couldn’t understand the problem and I know Elvis wouldn’t want his fans treated this way...Thanks for all you do Billy and God Bless❤️Tighten Up.
Great video you sure tightened HIM up !!! UK viewer thanks Billy
You are so awesome here thank you for sharing this with us all Spa Guy.👍
Thanks, Billy. Nice to see Graceland In the dark. I was there In 2012 from UK.
Sometimes you just have to call people out and they change their attitude real quick!
Much appreciated Billy.thanks as always for all your efforts.✊️😚🥋happy weekend ahead.x
Wow Billy lol I thought Barney Fife was gonna take you in 🙄lordy my goodness
Watching you filming the gate and gaurd house then when you pan out to the street in front of Graceland it seemed so eerie for a moment
I wonder Elvis couldn't have ever imagined all this built up around Graceland, what he might think
Love Elvis with all my heart since I was 5 yrs old not a day goes by he doesn't cross my mind there will never be anyone like him again
Thank you Billy for all the great videos you do I've learned so much I wouldn't have ever known 😀👍
You cared enough to tell me nobody cares so....
@Ed Gein Sure we care. Just because you want to be a jerk!
@@008overrated my issue was the way I was treated. The security staff had attitude that wasn’t needed or necessary.
Hi Spy guy, I loved what you told the guard about being nice.you really knew how to handle him, Elvis would be proud of you. Elvis Enterprise need to get with it on how to treat fans. They need to stop being so greedy about how much money they can make. Great video.
ANOTHER GREAT JOB SPA GUY, YOU SHOWED HIM, DIDN'T YOU. THANKS FOR ANOTHER GOOD ONE. FOREVER THE KING!!!!!!!!👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑🎸
Only you Billy on the verge of being chucked out. Could stay on and get so much information... thanks Billy ..you are the man...EP forever 💞
Hi Spa Guy Great Job once again the Guard just had to tighten up and get to know you. Keep up the great work Joseph from NJ.....
Very good video Billy! It's amazing how much $$ they put into Elvis Presley Enterprises to increase the business. Thanks again and look forward to your future videos.
That was a nice little tour...Thank you Spa Guy
To think I was only there 3 weeks ago, I absolutely loved everything about it, loved the hotel too, stayed there 5 nights. This was my first time, I’m coming back in January for his 85th birthday celebrations 🎊 thanks Spa Guy for your fab videos ❤️
I'll be there in January look for me..
Spa Guy I most definitely will, be great to say hi, I will be with the tour Strictly Elvis group from the UK 👍🏻
You got the better of him . Good work. I never got to stay in HEartbreak hotel
.
Love it you flipped the switch and got an interview. Great work 👍
Great job as always Billy, glad you got Barney Fife back on track👍😉🤣
Guard doing his job. He could be some nut trying to get in. The guard probably has to deal with fans trying to get as close as possible all the time.
That where we used too get tickets back in day i used to go down there in the 80,s -90's& 2000's era did you elvis played in sikeston & cape mo in the 50's thanks for your video's gary...
I went to Graceland in the summer of 1981. Very pleasant experience. There was little to no staff interference, and you could roam around at will. All of the tourists that i saw were respectable and didn't cross anything that was off limits. I guess that it's turned into a cash grab business, and that isn't cool.
Ocean Hedonist Graceland didn’t open until June 7, 1982.
@@christibrown204 Yep it was 1982.
One of Elvis hand guns was stolen, thats why security is tough.. So if anyones to blame, by all means blame it on the thief for all the clamp down.
This was great! They need to post a sign like open parks do at the entrance if it is closed. They need to put a chain across the entrance then. It was funny the guy kept talking after he tried to play cop. He ended up being a nice guy. :-D You have a nice way with people Billy. :-) Thank you for the tour!
I agree fully.billy is so polite until pushed.dont mess with him he does karate 🥋 xx
Nice write up rebeccasroses
A little update from I think last weeeek! So I went to Memphis last Thursday and ugh I never wanted to leave! I was so excited to see Graceland and everything Elvis, I also went to Tupelo to see everything Elvis 😂 but I love Memphis, I’m pretty sure half of my heart is in Memphis 😂
Glad You Enjoyed it..
I'm the same way I love Memphis. It feels like home and I can't wait to go back
ahhhh....the guard house.....i spent MANY hours in there, and the memories!!!
Another entertaining Spa Guy production 😁
Rather sneaky sneaky with the camera, too. Love it. Got the info and ol'boy didn't know the better.
thanks for sharing,we visited graceland last june(2018)it was awesome
Great video Billy thank you my friend 💙💙
I went there in the 80's when you walked up the drive and Graceland wasn't so commercialized, I met his uncle Vestor who was so down to earth and easy to talk to I wish you would have had the chance to meet and talk to him and make ur video
I did meet Vester back in the day but I was too nervous to ask to film him... I did get an autographed book and pictures..
I'm happy you did he was such a nice and down to earth man I like all ur video's@@SpaGuy
God Bless Spa Guy , Thank You 🌹 💕
Just love this, I've been to Graceland 4 times, 1st time was just abt 2 months after E passed and I was almost 11 years old, got to meet uncle vester, what a sweet man...I'm ready for another trip ❤❤❤...love your channel spa guy 😊❤...way to handle the situation 😊
The only thing better than walking in Memphis is walking in Graceland. Thanks to you Spa Guy!!!
Money Money
You do a lot to encourage visitors there. I dare say you have more power then he does. You handled that well.
Mr. Billy tightened up! Xoxo from OKC 💙🖤🖤🖤
SpaGuy, the man was not rude, in fact u were, but hey thanks for keeping it real. The guy to me expected you to respond the way u did. I feel ya brother 😉😎
The security guard actually became somewhat informative. LOL
They act like he's still around and they gotta protect him
Huh?
Bob Stouthuyzen, i totally agree with you that Bob is Elvis. My friend saw him in his churches in Benton n gave many clues that he was Elvis. She met him up close n said he had the eyes of Elvis n the known scars on the hands n face. Bob even said Hang Loose before starting the service. My friend n i know at least 60 clues that Bob is Elvis. He had to changed his name n is now preaching the Word of God n singing gospel songs . This is the path that God wanted him to take n i m glad he is Happy now
Hey it's the Segway Guy. Oops I mean Spa Guy. 👍
I'm so glad I got to see Graceland before Elvis died..and NONE of that stuff was across the street.. Graceland was a home...then.
I know what you mean. I saw it in 1964. So different now.
Stay safe Billy and you are so nice and I wish I could meet you one day...God Bless You
I saw that too.
5 times. Just a big money grab now Still love it
LOL He thought he scared you But you handled that very well Spy Guy 👍🏼
Well the conversation ended up okay. I thought how you rolled up to the gates was really cool. Love those gates. I like the old set up better but everything changes. Nice vlov Billy👍🏻😎
ain,t nobody gonna stop spa guy giving us his / elvis fans entertainment...rock on !!!!
Keep up the brilliant filming of Elvis’s life..don’t know what I’d do without it now 😇
Wish I was there...enjoy Spa Guy ❤️
makes him feel important
Well done Spa guy, no accounting for people up their own backsides, Elvis would have Karate chopped him 😜🤪🤣👌
I saw two limos drive in at 12pm , they told me to live the area and I had to show them wat I had filmed, and the police told me to delete or else, that was in December 2018
Yep....nice conversation ..♥️😊.
Priscilla and the others in charge need to do something about these employees. Elvis would not like his fans shown anything other than friendliness and respect.
From you “Spa Guy” you keep it “Magical” . -Elvis is proud !!! ✨🌿😎👍🏼💐
Hey Billy! Just miss you yesterday at ur new location. Was going to stop by and say howdy. It was about 6 pm. Gray ghost was there but didn't see you. Next time. Keep up the awesome videos😀
If the Gray Ghost is there most likely I am knock on the door next time..
Hey billy glad u show him how to thighen up man I’m ready to see all the stuff there but really hope to meet u to man I’m bring my Gibson j200 let u sign it I show everyone in church lol ur Lumbee friend here love your video
Spa Guy got CLASS. Turned that ol'boy's frown upside down. Ignored his BS and engaged in the Elvis talk. (Or did you strike that famous Karate pose? just kidding there.) That guard probably would've liked to have that Segway. But please be careful driving that thing down the highway. Anyway - loved how you sweet-talked that dude. Way to go!
Hello my friend loved the video the security turned out to be ok in the end our security are the same here in the uk but i would tar them all with the same brush.Go careful out there on your own and as always much appreciated for the work you do many thanks Russ
I don’t understand why people have to be nasty it doesn’t cost anything to be nice.
Allan, The Winter is the slowest because the weather is not great but most anytime other than Birthday or Elvis week are still god times to visit..
I enjoyed that, I felt like I was along for the ride.
Good for you SG! 💪🏼
Good video, I need to get a good Segway . I almost break my neck on my granddaughter hover board
That's where the shuttle for the Sun Record tour picked us up in Nov.
