Thank you for sharing this. My Dad met Elvis Presley in Las Vegas in the 70's. Elvis was out there performing where my Dad worked at the time and Elvis bought the entire hotel/casino staff pizza and beer after the show. He was very generous that way. My Dad is from Kentucky and grew up loving Elvis. So he was over the moon that he got to meet him and sit, drink beer and chat with Elvis. He said he was very kind, very down to earth and he was very funny! My Dad loved to tell that story. Elvis passed away the year my parents got married in 1977. My Dad and Mom actually met in Vegas and returned to get married there and they were sitting in line at In-N-Out burger somewhere in the San Fernando Valley when the news of Elvis's death came on over the car radio. Dad said everyone turned off their engines and everything stopped for a moment as people listened. People were in disbelief. Later, my Dad purchased a replica of Elvis's gold horseshoe ring. It was his favorite ring and he wore it all the time. He was my Dad's favorite musician of all time. My Dad died from cancer in 2008. Now, anything Elvis to me reminds me of my father and when my Dad was in hospice, I played him Elvis CD's right up to the day before he passed away...
I haven't yet been to Graceland. I've been to Tennessee, but there just wasn't time to go on my last trip out that way. My Dad's side of the family is in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. I'm from LA and the San Fernando Valley but live in Orange County, California now, so when I do get out that way, it's usually to see family and my best friend who lives in Ohio. They always have a full schedule planned for me, so I generally get maybe 1-2 days to actually do what I want to aside from family stuff. Lol It's a very long drive from Ohio to Tennessee too! On a side note, I love Gatlinburg, Tennessee and my Grandparents used to know Dolly Parton and her family. They took me to Dollywood when I was a kid. Anyway, thank you so much for going and for your great videos! If you get a chance, you should watch Elvis live in Hawaii. I believe it was his last big concert, but I'd have to double check. That man sure could sing and remains a style icon to this very day.

Was such a cool guy he had the whole package and that’s why he is still drawing attention, he treated everyone with kindness and never forgot where he came from. Simply put he was a humble person and the best entertainer ever!

I will never have the opportunity to travel to Graceland unfortunately. Therefore, your videos to me are priceless as Elvis has had an incredible influence on me during my 71 years. He has kept me mentally stable during some incredibly tragic times in my life and helped me celebrate the most joyous times of my life. I never saw him in concert, never met him, but still his music is with me everyday. In fact, I go to bed with him every night. My German Shepherd, Alice, is terrified of thunder. I put on Elvis's ballads and she calms right down. Better than Valium. Thank you again for your incredible work. It is invaluable. Stars in your crown in heaven. Thank you.
Elvis has a style all his own. Seeing those jumpsuits in person give you a better appreciation of how larger than life he must have been in person in concert. Awesome job as always Jordan. I need to go back to Graceland.

Thank you for this. His '69 Vegas 2 piece suits (white, navy & black) were lined in satin & the top was stamped w-little gold crowns on the inside; it also had a hidden side zipper so he could easily slip it on & off. The producer/director of the '68 special was STEVE Binder (not Mike). He & Elvis had a long discussion regarding the assassinations of King, Kennedy, the mess the world was in,Vietnam, & Binder asked Walter Earl Brown to compose a song -- it was based on King's speech & Elvis expressing his concern about all the problems; the red tie was for the blood spilled in Vietnam.
ELVIS... just the amount of production that man had on his schedule alone is staggering! The costumes, the practice sessions, the logistics of his crew, traveling to each new site must have been exhausting on him. It is crazy to see all of those outfits he wore maybe only for one time and the work that Nudie and IC costumers has to do is incredible! Thanks again for showing us a little of Elvis's world!

I believe he became the best because his art, his music, was so painfully honest that millions of people the world over could relate to it and to him. That is a very rare ability to have and Elvis Presley possessed it like no other.
I’ve become an Elvis know it all (Or a lot!). I dove in heavy at beginning of Covid. That’s the way that it is etc had never seen until 14 mos. Ago. Elvis is great subject matter and holy smokes his taste in clothing just incredible, cutting edge, years ahead of his time in fashion I’d say.
It's amazing how unique Elvis was in every way. Even his everyday clothes had Elvis stamped all over them, and he is the only man who could ever get away with wearing them and still look so so cool!

Elvis always looked drop dead gorgeous in those costumes. He was one handsome talented man. I so enjoyed seeing all those costumes. It's so wonderful that they were able to keep all of things together so we could be able to enjoy him and our memories again and again. Yes, he did something for his fans and our eyes. That were the days when clothes culture was still en Vogue and you did dress up of pure politeness to other people.
He had over 100 stage suits from 1968-77. They only have about 25% of the suits on display.

I love everything in that Elvis museum. The leather outfit from his ‘68 comeback special was my favorite from that special. The eagle jumpsuit and cape are my favorite of all his jumpsuits. They’re all incredible. It was interesting seeing his Bible and what book it was opened to. So glad you went back to the museum and got to see more this time than last time. He was one of a kind. I saw Elvis on stage at the Las Vegas Hilton a number of times and can honestly say that he had a way about him that was heaven sent
The black suit he wore for the Jaycees award is my favorite of all his suits. Not too flashy but still Elvis style. Marilyn Evans is the lady in the photo with the million dollar quartet. Great Vlog bud!!!
Graceland is an amazing place to visit - even for non-Elvis fans or people who are unaware of his music. Gloriously over the top and sentimental. Would love to go again, especially to see new exhibitions etc. Great vlog Jordan.

I love fashion and I love memorabilia, this is a dream!! I'd love to see a documentary about the designers who made these pieces, as all of the embellishments were hand done at that time. It really
makes the "icon" into a human being to see something that someone wore. Their shoes, their coats.... I think that clothing is one of the most intimate things a person owns , even moreso that an instrument . Don't get me wrong, it's amazing to see a guitar or drum set that someone you love played, but I think that holds a special interest for other musicians. We all understand that our clothes are an outside representation of who we are, and the literal image of how we represent ourselves.
I'll tell you what, Mr. Elvis Presley knew how amazing he was and embraced it.I love bold fashion! Elvis was genuinely talented at that as well as musically.

He was the greatest entertainer of all time, but his heart and his humanity is what I'm such a huge fan of. I especially loved this video because it's the best costume video I've ever seen. I love how you don't rush through and I love your story telling. I especially LOVED seeing this Bible. I've seen others and in all of them he had written and underlined passages, and that just shows how much he loved the Lord in my opinion. I was like in jr high when Elvis died and my mom, grandmother, sister and family in general loved him... you didn't ever say anything bad about 'the King' in my house. I remember thinking he was so old back then...and now I think he such a young man to die at 42....

there are so many great jumpsuits and other outfits but my personal favorite will always be the american eagle suit worn in the Aloha concert.

Flaming Star is a favorite Elvis Western of mine. The Green Little Joe/Django Unchained coat looked great in Elvis. But I want to watch Charro again indeed. I always liked the story from Kirk Russell. When he kicked Elvis in the shine on It Happened At The World's Fair. Elvis liked how Kirk's dad wore his cowboy hat. Hi Jordan, I always love famous people's wardrobe items, I think it's because it makes you feel closer to the person. Oh my, a whole room of jumpsuits, the black rhinestone jumpsuit looked really good! You never get to appreciate actually how much details went into these suits. The 68 leather suit is my favourite though. There is some money there! Great vlog Jordan.

The Comeback '68 trio was so awesome to look at! I would be having goosebumps if I could see them in person!! (All of them to be honest :D )
I saw these in 1991 but the museum was much different back then. The leather 68 Comeback Special outfit was the highlight for my friend Kyle and I. We always wondered what happened to the cape from Aloha Hawaii. It wasn't at the museum yet when we were there. I know the feeling you get seeing those things in person. It's just a constant "wow!" every corner you turn.
