I built one in bright colours for our annual show, the reactions were mostly shock and awe!

the color sensor gives RGB (red-green-blue) outputs, but that way is impossible too.
so the robot converts RGB output to HSL (hue-saturation-light)
and its possible to detect orange because ORANGE has more "hue" than RED
just like that, i read about it on the link in description :D
I built this, but it didn’t work for ages. I started building it on Friday and finished it Saturday, but it wouldn’t work correctly. So I then spent the rest of Saturday and also Sunday figuring out what was wrong with it. It turned out to be a simple weight issue. When the tilter arm goes over the top of the cube, the bar on the underside of it pushes down on the cube to get it into the turntable correctly. But for some reason, there wasn’t enough weight pushing down on it to make it work correctly. So I attached the remaining tire and wheel rim to that axle that sticks out at the top, added an axle joiner on top of that, and then attached another axle of the same length to the top of the joiner and put two 40 tooth gears on it. That turned out to be the perfect amount of weight, and the machine hasn’t missed a beat since then. Hope this helps since there seems to be a lot of people struggling with this.

I built it and it works great! Though occasionally the cube gets stuck when it's being flipped and it ruins everything.

@404anhhao Building the fastest rubik's cube solver in the world was not the purpose of this creation. It was designed around using the limited amount of parts that come with the 8547 Lego Mindstorms 2.0 set so that anyone wishing to make it wouldn't have to spend more than 280 dollars.

Yeah, that problem i had to.
The File is in .zip, you need to download a software to fix it.
Just google "WinRar" and download it, after that you install it and it's importent that you select ALL the files, you will see, just olso select.zip

I build one too but most of the time it says'' can't resolve colours'' and wen it doesn't it solves it wrong or it throws the cube out or get stuck so it doesn't work real wel
@vizard4881 Mine thinks it calculates the solution but all it does is mess the cube up more. Do you know why? Where do the wires go?

i downloaded the program on my pc but i cant download it to my nxt....plzzz help..i saw the program thru notepad but the lego software cant open the file....plz reply!!
mine gets about 3 spaces away and then says that it is done. Is there anything that I am doing wrong

I built it but in the beginning when it scans the robot and flips the cube the cube doesnt flip! i think there is an issue with the arm but i can't figure out how can you help me??!!!??? :P
hi, i made it, it works, but my turntable doesnt really "work".
it turns, but when the arm turns the cube, the cube wont fall in good, it will be stuck on the edges of the turntable, can you help me with it please?

i have rebiult and tested this robot at leat 10 times....never worked...ever

It doesn't work. Trust me. The program is fine for me. but it's just the mechanics of the robot. It won't turn fully or flip fully. It really doesn't work. I spent the whole day on building the robot only to find out that it doesn't work. It was a waste of time for me. Even if you see people's robots working, it's a very low chance that yours will work.

I haven't updated this. Yes. I have a real cube. A speed cube in fact. It does work. You have to colabrate the color censor which takes a long time too. The lighting has to be perfect too. And after calculations, you have to make sure the robot arm doesn't flip too high. So it works, it just will take a couple of tries and a lot of calabrating.

This is all fake and do not try it. I built it and even when I put a solved cube i it said 22 turns. Do not try it!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you make a tutorial on how to install everything? I mean after you build the machine, how to install the nxt program and stuff please! Keep up the great work!

@TheStilalibero put the sensor as low as it goes, took me hours to fix
As well as falling out, the nxt also doesn't completely turn the cube, so then the next time it goes to turn the cube, it gets stuck and fails.

For some reason I built it but all that happens is the C motor spins continuously in a circle

My dad helped me figure out why the one I built wasnt working and I fixed heres why on the claw where the hangy peice is I used blue you HAVE TO USE YELLOW on the platform USE THE ORANGE BENDER like it says and that kind of stuff.

That happened to me, but after a few days it worked properly.
@RSOURAV100 Unless You Are A Programmer, you have a problem. because it comes in code, not nxt code, just C code, so you have to compile it to robot C

I have the robot built, and i downloaded the program but i can't figure out how to download it to the robot, will it work on my mac??? If so, how do I open it in the MINDSTORM NXT application to download it to the robot
i built it but the colour sensor doesnt go to the corners of the cube at all...only some colours at the edges and the centre colours..what can i do to correct...please someone reply...

I can't get the java download to work. It gets stuck on the bluetooth. I have the robot and the bluetooth in sync it is just not connecting.
You mean the flipper arm motor was not working?
