I haven't been very impressed with Hill tbh. But something about Rountree is sort of scary. I think it's mostly those ultra-violent hammer fists he's displayed a couple times. Jamal always looks sort of clumsy on his feet. But, I like the match-up. Should be entertaining and competitive.

Rountree when he's locked in is a dangerous man. Good match making honestly and a huge opportunity for Khalil. Coming off 6 straight wins I believe, if he can get a win over Hill he's more than likely getting a title shot after that.

that used to be a legit thing but doesn't seem like the UFC adheres to it anymore. Plenty of fighters have come back from KOs in under 6 months. I could be wrong, but think it's due to a technicality being a TKO vs. KO.
All they need is a doctor to clear him, as long as the brain scan doesn't show anything and they almost never do unless bleeding or swelling.
Jamahal just got his lights pounded out. I'm pretty sure his noodle is still gonna be tender in 8 weeks, so any clean punch could possibly rock him

Unified rules of MMA, Section 15, Subsection G, Par. iii: if the fighter states that they can continue on before the 5 minutes of time has expired, the referee shall, as soon as practical, restart the fight.
Alex waived Herb off after Hill’s foot connected with AP’s cup (which made audible hollow sound of steel/ plastic cup upon striking before wherever it landed last).
Herb called “time out”. Alex hopped **once** simultaneously *as* Herb was calling “time out”.
Herb then called “time in” and Hill and Alex formally reengaged by *tapping gloves* then hand fought twice before Hill threw his first left straight which Alex slips and counters with left shovel cut.
There was appox 3-4 seconds of hand-fighting after tapping gloves for Hill to have refocused.
Alex won the handle-battle and foot position before the time out was called. Hill was check-mated fair and square.
In a championship title fight one should never lose focus even for a millisecond. There are *no* excuses, ever (least of all headlining a historic UFC 300 PPV titlefight).

Khalil is not someone to rush into. He has devastating kicks. He doesn’t do ground and pound. He does soccer kicks to your body. Now Alex vs Khalil would be a striking clinic. Both kick hard
I don't think it's such a bad idea for Hill to take this fight, i mean he got ktfo but it wasn't a ktfo like Justin Gaethje got ktfo. He ate those 3-4 shots and the fight was over.
Alot of people bring up Hill's win over Santos, but of course forget - or deliberately ignore the fact that the Thiago Santos he fought was a shadow of his former self. The Thiago going into and then during his fight with Jones was a monster, that guy without a doubt would've been champ, but those knee injuries he suffered in the Jones fight sadly ruined his career. He was never remotely the same guy he once was. It's kinda funny how when Jones left LHW there seemed to be tons of up and comers looking to make this the sort of division it was when it had Rampage, Liddell, Wandi, Shogun, Machida, Evans, Tito, and Forrest. But yeah that group of burgeoning stars at LHW post-Jones seemed to have been cursed - and instead never came close to making it te premier division that it once was First up - the forementioned knee injuries that ruined Thiago Santos' career for all intense and purposes, Dominic Reyes getting dominated and developing a glass jaw, Johnny Walker also developing an equally as bad glass jaw, Jan went from a scary motherfucker to then over night turned into a past his prime old man following his loss to the even older Glover, Rakic had that massive leg injury that had kept him sidelined until last weekend, Paul Craig never developing even a passing stand-up game, and so on. The only guys part of that group of dudes who haven't had their career's upended in one way or another or simply underachieved are Magomed, Jiri, and Hill.
Thankfully guys like Rountree, Krylov, and now Alex of course - have finally started to deepen this division a bit, or at least more so than it was a couple years back Im really like both Hill and Roundtree, but even though in normal circumstances i think Hill would come away with a win, in this case i think Khalil is a legit 50/50 fight for him now. I know Roundtree's resume isn't that impressive, but all these people out here are sleeping on him, and if Hill doesn't take this man seriously- he's be put back to sleep, (like what i did there - lol.... god im so lame). Anyways good analysis, i usually disagree with you on most things but i think your on the money with this one.

I have hope that UFC 303 will have somewhat good name value because it’s the international fight week card. Yes mcgregor undercards are trash but you cannot deny that when it comes to UFC international fight week, the UFC has a history of providing bangers for that card.

UFC is at least making fights happen the boxing we don’t even get to see a fight. They keep running away. Best doesn’t fight the best the fighting CZcamsrs non-boxers so appreciate the fact that UFC is putting on fights after fight more than twice a year giving us fights back to back actually, so it is difficult to make good cards when you are giving back to back fights and some of them might have liked the card and have enjoyed the fight because they might be the best fighters from the country or the fighters look up to we never know so basically entertaining hundred percent.

Lame. I really have wanted to see Hill vs. Jiri for a long time. Especially since they both had similar situations with winning the belt for a bit, then giving it up due to injury. I get that Hill just lost and Jiri just won... but if Jiri doesn't get next title shot (which he probably won't), it still would make sense to have them fight.

jamahal's biggest weakness is his EGO!!! He refused to grapple with alex because mma casuals triggered him. Deluding himself that he's as good as alex at standup striking. Izzy, who has the striking edge over alex, couldn't easily get through the knockout power but somehow hill thought he was that good

I kind of agree with you and I like Hill. Everytime I watch him fight, I have to convince myself that somehow he's "elite" just cuz people say so despite lacking basic fundamentals. He's the most flatfooted striker I've seen have success but that was bound to catch up to him eventually.
