How lovely to have these memories. I go back infrequently and have shown my kids the slums I lived in as a kid in Birmingham. It makes me shiver. When I lived in it, I knew nothing else and am grateful for my lot now
Excellent Rob, it's a funny feeling when you go back to see some of your childhood places and they have totally changed from since we were children paddling in the river catching sticklbacks and frogspawn with a saddleback steam train wistlinh past 😊
Nice, Rob... Parts of Dartmoor are very pretty; however, being on an 18-mile forced route march, humping one's military equipment and map-reading across the wilder parts of the moor in 4 hours tended to diminsh one's appreciation of the natural beauty. Goodness, that was 62 years ago!
Great viewing as usual. Wife and I hope you have a trip to Australia on your Bucket List! Your trip around Ireland on the YB was great, we have not long found you Rob and are slowly catching up! Keep up the good work mate..
Well Geoff, glad you found me!! Did you also see the trip around Scotland?? Would love to come to Australia one day but in the meantime watch @mongreldogproductions who does some epic trips around Australia and elsewhere on two wheels - motor and non motor! Always happy to hear comments and hope you have subscribed. Where are you from?
@@RobLittleuk Rob I have seen his channel, also very good. We are from the Grafton district on the far north coast of NSW. We are certainly a subscribers mate. A mate and I, who lives western NSW have both just bought the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 and are to do our first trip, of only some 1000 klms on 11/6. This trip will be followed by a 3500klm trip (August / September) through western Queensland, NSW and touch the South Australian border at Cameron Corner, travelling through Cunnamulla, Charleville, Quilpie, Tibooburra, Broken Hill, Wilcannia and Walgett before heading home. I am having a bit of a calculated guess that I am your age, I am a 4/53 drop. Just finishing your Ireland trip and will start the Scotland one, they are excellent to watch when there is nothing on the box, which is most of the time! Regards Geoff & Jackie
@@geoffnewberry477 Geoff indeed being a "8/52" drop (never heard the expression before!!) you got my age right. I feel i know Australia as well as anyone possibly can without going there through various motorcycling channels - Million Dollar Bogan is another one....sweary, bipolar businessman - have you seen him. I met him when he was in London riding round the uk. Of course I have not felt the heat, smelt the smells or seen the slithery things in your country! Glad you are enjoying the Ireland tour - I preferred that one but the Scottish tour got way more hits! A little group of us are off to Normandy, France on bikes in a couple of weeks where the celebrations will still be going on for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
@@RobLittleuk No Rob, I haven't seen the Million Dollar Bogan, but will have a look for sure. We have started the Scotland Trip, you still haven't got there yet but making your way there in a lot better weather than what Ireland threw at you! Your trip to France sound like a ripper, I have a huge interest in WWII history as my Dad was a Vet of the Pacific war with Japan. My heritage is English on my Dad's side and Irish on my Mums side, so I view your Channel with great interest, but like you in reverse, I have never been to England but would like to one day. Travel safe in France, I am looking forward to your videos. Geoff

You know the odd thing is....to say the land owner at the time had a money-spinner would be an understatement !
