I liked the Windstar ones! My mom picked up a 96' in 98 loved that thing so many memories and road trips in it as a kid. We got it to replace the old 85 Aerostar. Funny on the commercial though the kid closing the door.. Nowadays mommy or daddy hits a button and they all close.. You wouldnt want little Johnny to get his fingers jammed 😂
@@mbaer5 lmao. That's funny because we have a new buick enclave with all the power stuff on it like liftgate. My dad and I was helping my grandma get her groceries out of the back and my mom thought I said something about shut the back so she hit the button for it to close and it makes a dinging noise when its closing. I heard it and thought WTF and got out of the way and not dad wasn't so lucky, it hit him on the back of the head but he was alright. Im surprised its not a lawsuit or something.....
Especially if you drove a ford, always outside admiring natures creatures snarling and calling in the moonlight on the side of the road while your rummaging through your tool bag desperately trying to get the pile of shit running a couple more of miles.

More like all hail the 2002 Dodge, first truck to make the doors swing out the right(normal) way on its extended cab models. Hate those stupid suicide doors that you can't open unless the front is open.

NLJosh83 I know man I have a 96 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 with 207,000 miles on it and still going strong. The only thing I replaced on my truck was the starter but other than that mostly was just simple maintenance, took out the transmission fluid just to get rid of the shuttering it was making and it hasn't had a problem ever since.
I have a 98 dodge ram 1500 with 271K miles, runs good but alittle rusty

Shelby fn No, the 2V shoots out plugs, the 3V has plugs that break off in the head.
I know plenty of people that own both the 2v and 3v and have never had any issues with the spark plugs
Marcus Corvain The 2V is Ok if you listen to Ford and change the plugs properly. No anti-seize and torque them to I think it's 9-13lbft. A lot of people put anti-seize on them and/or over tighten them causing problems. There are only 4 threads in the aluminum head holding the plug in, so it's extremely easy to damage the threads which leads to the plug blowing out. I never had it happen because I followed Ford's recommendations.
The 3v is a whole different problem, and Ford's recommendation makes it worse.
They used a long 2 piece plug with a long tip that sticks deep in the head past the threads. Then they recommended the plugs be changed every 100k miles which causes that long tip part to get carbon built up on it and it gets stuck. When you try to pull the plug out it separates and that tip part stays in the head. If you changed the plugs earlier it would be a lot less of a problem.
They make new aftermarket one piece plugs now and if you use those you won't have any problems.
Sorry had an Expedition biggest top heavy gas sucking pos ever made. My one ton dually with the 8.0 V10 got better mileage then that Expedition.

I have 1998 F150 V6 with over 280k and it is still going strong. I bought it from my dad over 10 years ago for 3k and he had it over 10 years. Man I don't know about the rest of the trucks/cars out there. But this truck is a good truck!!!
My family and I had a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer edition. Brand new. And it ran good. But the only drawback about it was fuel economy. Thing ate gas like a mother trucker.

I know of many of these Expeditions that are stii going strong with over 400,000 miles on them. My 2003 F-150 with the 5.4 has 368,000 miles and runs great. They are the same mechanically as a 5.4 Expedition. And absolutely no plug problems.

Yup...best selling since '77. And I know that just pisses alot of people off who are not Ford truck people. Had a '02 F-150 Supercab - I wanted a truck and made the most of it with hauling everything and was comfortable as hell with the Supercab. Big enough to stretch out and nap which was one of the reasons I wanted a Supercab. That and a backseat just in case for weatherproof storage.

Those post 1996 ford trucks looked modern but didn't look as cool as the pre 1997 ford trucks but ford kinda had to do it to stay on top gosh i miss those old boxy style non aero pickups saw 2 on my way home today and was like man i miss those boxy style pickups my dad has a 92 and 88 f150 super cabs beautiful trucks.

Braydon Collins oh yeah i still think it looks way better then any new box ford put the F150 or other pickups in since the last 20 years i think ford themselves didn't want to get rid of that body style but had to to meet the growing demand for a modern looking truck compared to Chevy and Dodge and to be more aerodynamic.

My first truck was a 93 F150 5.8l that I bought from my grandpa, lifted and regeared. I now drive a 78 F250 on a 95 super duty frame with a 12 valve cummins, but im never getting rid of my 93!

The ex wife's uncle had a Windstar. He hit head on with a 3/4 ton dodge pickup doing 45 and he got out and walked away with just bruises and cuts.
My dad has a 99 f150 with a 5.4 it's the most beat up truck in he's got but it's not ever left us stranded and that thing gets up goes son

@@thefordmaniac sometimes. Back in the day the '73-'79 F Series trucks could be had with dual tanks that gave 45 gallon fuel capacity. I don't know of a single tank that big that is factory

Triton v8, shoots spark plugs out like bullets, head gaskets are made out of old wet newspapers, and oil pumps are more fragile than an antivaxx's 5 year old , yeah exept for this one, or the Vulcan V6 I bet the other engines they did were great

Oh really mine has the same parts on it that I can put on my 99 f150 the breaks are the same the steering column is the same the v6 is the same parts in both of them the front suspension is similar to each other and they look different but in reality they both share the same parts so!

@@jameswalsh6810 No, but GM already had the third door on the Silverado / Sierra in '95-96. Dodge beat Ford to a super cab with four doors in '98. That's why it's funny.
The good old Triton. I being a ower of a Triton can say they had there issues. Heres a list. Spark plugs break, manifold leaks, variable valve timing, vct solenoids, hydraulic chain tensioners. Cam phases. With these issues many are avoidable with regular routine maintenance. Oil changes on these engine are key..well that goes for all engines however on the 5.4 it's best to keep the oil as clean as possible I change mine every 3000 km with conventional oil and a motocraft filter. I shouldn't have to tell you keeping the oil clean means the detergents are still working and lower carbon build up, which brings us to "Carbon" any engines worst nightmare. It's simple oil change. Period. My engine did break down I took it to Ford they said they want 4500 to fix it. I laughed. I bought all oem parts to the timing. And did it myself. Any ways bottom line is everything breaks down newer engine will see there problems years into production. Tritons a great engine. On a side note the best engine ever made by ford is the Ford inline 6 300.

I have a 98, 150. Been having more suspension problems more than engine. They don't even mention the 350s. Have a 97, the last year they put the 460, in them.
97 was a carry over for the hd trucks. The 99 redesign for the super duty model was released in 98. 97 hd trucks was just a 96 carryover sold as 97 models.

Crying Laughter and I love Chevy. But if I were to get a ford it will be a Ford edge. But no other vehicle. Because of experiences of close relatives and friends that had fords say they break down. And they meant the focus.
