IITians going to IIM will say that IIMs are placement agencies because they have already achieved most of the milestones like getting a brand tag, a Job in good company, amazing peers and professors, etc
However, students from tier 2 and tier 3 should go for MBA.

MBA definitely makes sense. Don't simply go by some extra ordinary person's journey. Once you're there, then make any required alteration to your course of life. Till then, keep hustling for your goals. MBA from a premier institute opens up new door to diverse peer group and knowledge.

Ashneer sir thank you for sharing these thoughts about MBA. What I have also seen in my friend's circle is that people who pursue MBA, directly after their Bachelors, without having some work experience, struggle a lot. They tend not to understand the dynamics of the business world in a better way, along with as you said, become complacent about their degree. Also, another impact is that they cannot understand where and how to use this business knowledge, that is, professional, personal or social life, and end up using it generally everywhere, thereby impacting their personal and social life.
Ranveer-Thank you for keeping such podcasts that motivate people to think outside of the standard scenarios.☺🙂

No. His scope will only be able to solve technical problems. But with an MBA, he can hope to accelerate his career to a management position much sooner wherein he will be solving problems of a higher complexity and much far reaching impacts than technology problems. Industry requires you to have an MBA for a starter level job with a salary of 40k per month. This is the standard set by the industry. So for an average Indian mba is the best opportunity to make an entry into the working world. MBA is a pathway and not an end destination. How you manage yourself after you get in & where your future trajectory will be is entirely upto you. But MBA is worth it, as long as you're looking for an opening.

    I have a different view.
    Not all people are same.
When you go to sell your product you have to first find decision makers.
Decision makers generally do not hang around any tom, duck and harry.
They spend time with people of their interests such as other decision maker, who can brig something for him etc.
But if you fall in that category and if you have some lifestyle then you can develop better rapport with them. Secondly when competitor or another decision maker comes into contact with same customer or decision maker, there will be certainly a comparison.
In those situations your customer will do business with those whom he will be comfortable with.

Since the effects of alcohol is not apparent, many believe that it's fine to consume it if you are able to manage your behaviour. However, it impacts cognitive processes in such a subtle way which is not immediately apparent, but is manifested many ways like emotional relapses, choices, etc.
