I am very thankful to ashneer. My mom is a teacher and she invested in PMC bank. It was her hard earned money. Last year she got back again of course without any interest. But frankly this man saved many depositors. High level of transparency I can see with him being blunt. Again he will be doing something great for indians let's hope.

Actually story is always in between. Bharat pay started very good. But later it had many problems with the shopkeepers. Sad for him he could not come up with the solution and that's why he was asked to leave.

Travis and Adam were kicked out because the path they were following and their mindset was all about valuation. Their main target was valuation not profits. At the end of the day the fundamentals of business are never gonna change.

Love your podcasts but a little feedback. Sometimes, you tend to interrupt in the middle of a conversation and that leads to digression of the topic in conversation. If you could avoid that, the podcasts will be even more fun and interesting

he has good acumen, but his bluntness which helped him in business affected him negatively in social media. And social media is the only way he can redeem himself.
Very nice interview … explained BharatPe in simple language
I guess what he meant by being leopard in early days that he was committing frauds and malpractices from the beginning to grow the company and investors were silent because of the outcome of rapid growth. But once Bharat Pe came in limelight, and Ashneer’s recording with the Kotak employee, they knew his attitude would mess up the entire company and its reputation in a jiffy. That’s why they sacked him and his wife.
People say they love him because of his straight forward and no nonsense talk. But what they actually like is its way of doing insult comedy.
He knows his days in the startup world is over. No good engineers and MBAs would want to work with him. He doesn’t know to give due diligence to its peers. Listen to him, he doesn’t gave any credit to anyone except himself. He joined BharatPe when it was already a company. He didn’t started it.
So, he is forcing himself to become a social media star because eventually he wants to be in politics. He said it himself earlier.
Ashneer is a 2022 version of Raghu Ram of Roadies with a little more educated audience and more business jargons mixed with abuses.

@@ayushgupta7244 Only thing Ashneer boost about BharatPe is that he built a $3B company. The reality is he was successful in getting investment at $3B valuation. Now we know the company is overvalued since there is no good revenue stream and company is losing money day and night. Even with the Nykaa debacle, he was pissed because he couldn’t invest in its IPO because he knew that it would be overvalued earlier and he can get out making more money. Abhi check Nykaa’s stock, its way down. There would be many Ashneer’s who bought the stocks in the IPO, sold it to retail investors who later joined the game, and let them take the downfall of stocks. He knows how to make money for himself.

The way he’s talking about Uber and WeWork are misleading. Travis Kalanick got fired from Uber due to sexual harassment. Adam got fired from WeWork because he blew company money on unnecessary things and mislead investors on the valuation of the company. So I have to disagree.
