So buy the season pass that has doubled in price to get the best value out of the season tiers and not miss out on 200+ monster bone+/carpenterbug/earth crystals, then a few weeks later buy a special ticket to get access to a monster early, and unlimited HATS and EDIS and STILL need to worry about inventory space and potions, both of which can only be bought, while doing this.
I know we all love this game, but it's going down a path that if we pretend is OK, it will only get worse.
It doesn't help that Niantic is increasing its relationship and offering goodies and access to some of the most profilic content creators of this game, reducing the chance they will ever speak about this in fear of ruining their relationship with Niantic.
I appreciate that you touched on this slippery slope a little at the start.
I agree with everything you said, but I won't be bought by Niantic.
I haven't watched KOC's video on this yet, but Shawnzy, myself, AND Pauwer are all saying the same thing, which is "I sure hope this isn't a lot of money because that would be some BS"

Well with kezu we have 3 armor pieces with paralize damage up, so probably palumu will give extra sleep damage pieces.

I mean...6 is 50 percent more than 4.
I mean true. But I think it's really dumb wording. Because it implies to me that if I part break, or get group hunt bonuses, then those will factor in and I will get that percentage.
So for it to be 50%, you have to do a default, solo, non-part break hunt.
Again, annoying language tactics to hype up the reward.
I'm still thankful for that and I guess that makes it true, I just always get at least one part break so I didn't even factor in a vanilla non-part-break hunt in my mind.
I'm lookin forward to them releasing some earnable item that provides the unlimited HaT/EDI (pronounced like "Eddy", I have proclaimed it.)
Hopefully they see how many people take advantage and make some option to do the same outside of events.
On my commute home I and *surrounded* by HaT/EDIs and I can only do one of them cause I ain't rollin' in it yet.

Im down for the paid event. Its a skin and some quests for early access, as well as HaTs/Intercepts for like a day. If this moves us away from paying for potions or paintballs I am all for it
niantic in case you read this: idgaf about those events since for example i already destroyed all my deviljho parts since i have no room in my inventory. why would i farm it again? thx

Unfortunately I feel like the paid pass will be 25-30 dollars. You get 2 days of unlimited HaTs probably they would average out to 5 hunting passes per day, 10 passes at 300 gems each with additional benefits would be at least 20 bucks which i myself wouldn't get but I will be surprised if it's less than that

I’m worried about how much the event will incentivize more spending. If I burn through my meds, I’m sure I will feel more pressure to spend cash on potions so I can squeeze as many Kushala invasions in as possible…

Oh it's certainly intentional. It has been since day 1. That's why there is NO WAY to earn gems in the game at all besides spending real money.
@@HuntersNotez I think I might just sit this one out. If they made potions f2p or the event f2p, I think I’d be on board. The fact that both are paid makes me want the event to fail so Niantic hopefully makes a change. Unfortunately, I’m sure I will be in the minority of dedicated players willing to sit out the event and it won’t make any difference.
@@HauxYZ250I want to agree with you but I’m hesitant until I see the actual price of the ticket. If it’s like $5 that’d be what I’d be happy paying but considering the pricing of everything else in this game, it’ll probably be more like $15 or more which is getting kind of scummy in my opinion. But at this point I’m just enjoying the game and trying my best to ignore the scummy monetization part of it.
Part of me is also expecting them to price this ticket in gems so they can make it wildly overpriced and justify that by saying “oh but just use the hunter’s pass gems and it’s cheaper”.
Until proven otherwise I choose to believe Almudron are the female Mizutsune 😂

Niantic is seeming pretty despite to money grab with the new events and systems. Makes me feel like they are in some kind of financial trouble. I think the big one you missed was paying for bag space. lol

There's zero chance the event is 5 dollars, comparable events in pogo are 15 dollars and dont give unlimited raids
If it’s $5 or even if it’s up to $10 I’ll be all over this but if it’s any more it’s gonna be a hard pass

I've got mixed feelings about the paid event. In one hand, it is awesome that people who pays gets early access as well as unlimited rewards, but at the same time, I don't like the idea that Niantic already makes you get items from the shop by spending irl money, so it makes Niantic look like they're more interested in getting money.
