- Monster Hunter Now is about to be very different with all the NEW events coming this July. We will have our very first paid event in mhnow. Depending on the success of this event, it can affect the game positively or negatively! They also added 2 new monsters, Mizutsune and Nightshade Paolumu! Niantic and Capcom has been doing such an awesome job with Monster hunter now and I can't wait to play these events! This are the events for Summer July 2024 Part 2.

Having to pay to hunt a monster that you could hunt whenever in the mainline game is insane honestly. It's already weird that some monster are Huntathons only while monsters like Deviljho arent. Zinogre and Mizutsune* should be as rare as a Jyarotodus in my opinion

That is true. We are paying 60 dollars unli hunts in mainline games vs paid ticket for 2 days of unli hunts and you have to walk haha. I see where you are coming from. Good thing its optional and you can still hunt for free :)

Before you buy the paid tickets, there are some tips
1. You need to have time to play for the whole two days.
2. Think a way how to charge up your phone in between of the event.
3. You will expect to walk two whole days and maybe you will be exhausted.
Great tips! Also, you need to prepare potions in advance as well if you will be hunting a lot :)
I already do that as a pogo player so this should be fairly easy for me. And power banks are a must. 20.00 Anker power bank from Amazon would be a good investment.
how i wish this ticket would be priced just $5 with with things mentioned plus :
+ unlimited potions
+ temporary storage expansion (which would last for a week)
what i still like to see is an item to :
> increase monster range
> make monster spawn / be attracted on your current spot
.. this would help players like me who does not go outside that much, but still dont want to use spoofing methods (yes, i know there are still spoofers)
Unli potions would be too good to be true haha! I like the incense like item tho!
If I didn't have to drive 10+min to get to a spawn for hat or interseptions maybe but even then it would be a hard sale
You have to account for gas money as well. Expense will stack up quick :(
Mizu weapons have been leaked, and they're basically the Barioth equivalent of Water stats wise, but with 30% affinity IIRC, so they're not strictly better than CPPs

i play long sword and even if there were a coral pukei pukei LS id still switch to mizutsune purely because of the design. cant wait do ditch my ugly ass jyuratodus bone stick even though i upgraded it to 9-5
@teero121 that is tru mizu weapons have some of the best designs. I remember the mizutsune sns has a fan and a bracelet 😂
Assuming Nightshade Paolumu is weak to only Water, I guess we can just use CPP weapon or Jyuratodus/Jagras we already have or Gunlance Long.
The good side is Mizu doesn't use WGS so that saves us the trouble for building armors and other stuff but the downside is the drop rate of them.
I really do hope NS Paolumu doesn't have insane HP stat like Coral Pukei does on release it's so ridiculous.
Any info on the armor pieces? I really need a helmet with water attack 2 for my CPP LBG bruh :(
Unlimited HATs and Interceptions? Will they have bonus potions? I don’t mind paid event tickets but if it also incentivizes spending money on potions (to squeeze as much out of the event as possible) it could get pretty pricey.
That is true. The amount of money you will spend can easily stack up when you need to spend for potions
Bonus potions probably 5 or less.
I have been running Gunlance with Artillery 4 + Divine Blessing 5 + Health Boost 5, and I don't have much potion issues really. The chip damage you block mostly get recovered overtime (ex lose 10HP just sitting in lobby on HATS waiting for people and you already recover that back assuming you take no damage for all 5 hunts or 1-2 damage blocks)
Not the best for 10 stars but it's very safe to play for the long run without investing into pots.
@@NepNeppy I don’t have an issue with potions generally. However, I do tend to burn one or two from getting greedy in an 8* Kushala fight (gotta break that head!). So for others who might be less experienced, lacking in skill, or me just trying to run non-stop 8* Kushalas it could be a problem.

I only hate that they are locking a layered armor and a medal behind a paywall. But the unlimited hat is very enticing, imagine all those boosted zennies.

Unlimited HaTs for a weekend… assuming that they increase the frequency of the HaTs.
It would encourage players to walk more to get to other HaTs haha
if 15$, it's too much for my country price, it equal a decent game in PC, equal a good lunch for my family, and also I often OT Sat and Sun, which is less time to play this game, so it should be 5$ or I still stick with my Coral GS lmao
Yeah sadly no amount of money no matter how cheap it is will make it worth it if you dont have the time to play.
The unlimited HATS is crazy value
Daora is my favorite monster, I would love to farm him while he's the sole elder around.

Is there some kind of meta with the dragon hunting, I just started playing and 2 games in a row nobody attacked the 3 star elder dragon they just evaded it while I tried to kill it myself and we just got the participation materials, why did they do this
If it $15 I probably gonna buy it and make an event out it by hunting as many hats/kushala. I think it probably worth it with increase area and all the free hats/kushala in 2 days. Especially these days just go seeing a 2 hr movie cost like $20 lol. For $15 for 2 day fun events is worth it for me. Got my main weapon/armor blk Diablo bow to 10.5 with lvl 5 focus, lvl 5 burst and lvl 3 atk boost. Also 870 defense so I can take hits from monster. I spend like $20 a month in this game. I not too concern about need to use potion since am a bow user and also have lot of defense.
That's an interesting take man. That is true, cinema tickets are so expensive now. If you look at it that way, the ticket priced at 15 usd aint so bad.

Oh, man, looks like some players are not free on weekends. Maybe in the future they will also extend the ticket event duration to weekdays
I've been thinking for a long time that Paolumu Somnus would be the next sleep element monster. We only had Radobaan and there was only World monsters, then Basarios came and I thought "Oh,ok,maybe this is it" but now I'm happy that Somnus arrives

Im definitely buying the ticket to support the game! Ive only spent money on the monthly pass so far to get the season pass, they offer a lot of value for your money and i appreciate that
If you happen to live in a good area that’s relatively dense with HATS, it’s probably worth it.

Anything paid event is a negative for me, I will shelf the game for a very long time, it just sad, and I'm not alone with this, a lot of veteran hunters are on the same boat as me, as for now, playing Elden Ring and The First Descendant on my PC on weekends. Even if its 15 dollars, no, I will not buy it. I hope they don't bring this content idea to WILDS next year but I'm pretty sure this is Niantic, since its a F2P game, not surprised but still disappointed.
I agree with that. I really don't get why people are cheering on that. Having access to a monster earlier, why not. Having a bigger radius, yeah sure. But the better spawn of Mizustune and the exclusive medal for people that want to 100% is really borderline to me. The slippery slope can go really bad in the future of this game.
They already doubled the price of the pass, which I still bought, but this one paid event will be a big no. I don't think this kind of move from the dev should be celebrated.

I've already made the conscious decision to avoid this, even if it's 5 dollars.
It likely will be 5 or 10 dollars to prime the playerbase for getting used to it, then much more money the next time, after everyone has accepted it.
This is a typical practice for F2P games, and we saw it happen with the season pass doubling in price from S1 to S2.
Something to keep in mind is that you will need massive amounts of storage space or time wasted managing your inventory with unlimited HATs.
You'll also need to stock up on potions because relying on the natural health cooldown will waste the value you get from the ticket.
So this event will only further sell more inventory space and more potions to anyone who buys the ticket that already costs money.
What this game is becoming worries me.

Seems like the benefits of this paid ticket are not too great except for the unlimited huntathons, that may change over the course of this game's lifetime though..
I hope mhn won't cater too hard on paying players, but i have high hopes for mhn
I see some value in unlimited hats and elder dragons but it will ultimately depend on the player and how many times they can use the unlimited pass haha! I believe in Capcom. They havent failed any monster hunter game yet :)
I was going to buy it no matter the cost, but just realised I am staying in a rural house that weekend, so there is no point as there aren't any nearby HAT points. Booo

Ticket sounds great but the 2 days durations sounds a bit limiting. I would rather have it for a week

With all due respect there shouldn't be any content put behind a pay wall when it comes to the monsters literally the point of you playing the game comes off as greedy im someone who put 150$ into the game and yo have to put 2 more dollars into an event where you're not guaranteed to get the gear unless you have the time is ridiculous and there needs to be more foresight from the community cause companies love to do things like this and test the waters to see what they can get away with then slowly start moving the goal post making it more pricey and then just straight up pay to win
And I'm someone who sees the potential of this game truly being better then Pokemon go in its prime as wild of a take as that may be and we also got to consider that they still haven't added a feature to add players from raid or Hunter thorns on your friend list nor more consistent ways of inviting your friends to hunt monsters in general imo cause I can see this game one day eventually adding dahlomender and there being like 15 player raids to take him down and everyone communicating etc and it would suck to one day get to that point in the games life cycle and all of a sudden pay like 20$ to have to opportunity or privilege to join to get low level common items with lower drop rates for higher pieces that you need 🙌
Let's hipe it doesn’t get to the point where the game is pay to win. So far this event is totally optional. You can still play for free and just join the free events and still get the gear you want :)
@@PauwerPlays that's my point brotha when we hope it doesn't it usually does and this is how it starts there testing the waters and to my knowledge this event won't be free after the fact just the monster once the event is over and it's optional but not if you want a head start and that's how they get you with a head start yfm Iv see. This too many times with other ips and games but me saying anything won't do much love the vids appreciate the guides and if I could make a request can you do a top 3 sword and shield builds and charge blade builds video with in depth meaning of explaining affinity would help a lot have great rest of your evening 🤝

No not really. You just get to hunt more. You dont have to wait for free hunt a thon ticket cooldown and you get to hunt more mizu and encounter nightshade earlier

Everyone needs to ban together and not give them a penny until they make their prices reasonable. All of their packs are horribly priced and exploitive. Give them the Riot treatment and force them to be smart about these things.
