Really gave me goosebumps and the feel although I am not a soldier,I am just a normal Nepali citizen proud of our Gorkha ansectors who fought for Brtish with utmost bravery and loyality and who are still serving..cheers!
I recently met 2lost Gurkas in Illinois. Regiment veterans, they run a gas station here. Was very surprised, as were they that i knew their glorious history and legendary history. It was an honor to meet them. I hope they have a good life here so far away from their home. Colirado might be better with mountains. The bravest of the brave. Wonderful piers and bandsmen too. I was given a pass in review and parade by the Balhchistan police and they too were excellent. Echoes of Scotland in Quetta and Nepal. I would have been very proud along side of them in a fight. the gurkhas are a regiment to be proude of as they have won 13 vc medales from 1914 till now no other regiment has agived that / and to think they fight for a country that is not there own

Ayo Gorkali , my late Father worked in Nepal clerk of works building a road from Dharan Jogbani . I have a Kukri given to him he was a Sapper.
