I am looking for this song since very long time ago. My Grand-father, my father was inlisted and trained in Dehradun. And i was in British Gurkha army as well. So, I am proud of my Grand-father & Father. Thanks for the you tube that I can now play this song.
My Dad was stationed in Dehradun during ww2. He heard this song and sang it to me.
My father is in the Indian army, I have always had a fascination and love for the military, sadly the living standards, career progression etc in our army even for officers isn't ideal anymore atleast for me. I learnt about the British army's new recruitment policy for commonwealth citizens and it seems like a great career for me, and I would absolutely be honoured to get commissioned into a Gorkha unit and fight alongside these fearless pahadis
My grandfather always talks about his time during indian army and one time i asked him what his favourite song was and he said "jham jham pareli aakhai mah gajalu."
AYO GORKHALI!!! Happy days spent in the company of these fine gentlemen at Catterick and Folkestone. When we got sent to Colchester we lost touch, sadly but I shall never forget their sense of humour and their friendship.

Kiratis are fine people. they have a tendency to be honest and corrupt-free in their genes and blood. This is one fine trait of kiratis.
this is why the British people love them and continue this gurkha tradition for last 200 years. but Nepal need a major change in leadership and governance of Nepal. i want to see kirati as PM of Nepal so that my country Nepal would progress and we nepalese would not have to suffer any longer.

Agaian maybe you do not realize that everywhere and every field brahmin chettri are trouble makers, always engaging in violence and mass political rally. Look at what Kulman Ghising done for Nepal in a very short time which many brahmin chettri failed to do in their life time. Do you know Kulman Ghising? do you know what he has done for Nepali people?
