May be a stupid question, but why do you wait until you are level 10 before you visit library of enlightement? Doesn't that increase the stats regardless? Thanks for the videos!
If you considering to make video of another HOMM3 campaign, IIRC Crag Hack was kind of hard and fun. It's next one after the one you played, should be in campaign autosave if you did not overwrite it yet.
Hey Chris, dont know if u take requests,but perhapps for ur next video you can show some Castle gameplay ? Usually when i play castle i always feel like all their heroes are crapp and usually go for somethine like Mephala or Malekith as my main, however i see some hope in using Lyonis due to that the Prayer should become quite strong in late game, but personally im unsuccesfull :)

Against the gold golems (19:40), wouldn't it be possible to fly away and defend some turns just to get de additional defense? It's a legit question, haven't tried this myself.
You did the quest for the guy to kill throngs of ice elementals, then you never got the 10000 gold for it in the early game. :D You should also check the Quest Log occasionally. But otherwise nice game.

+Tamás Fekete Not sure, I forgot about it while I was playing, but I don't remember seeing it either and I took all the towns. It's certainly possible the computer dug it up then got attacked and retreated the hero but didn't rehire him.
+P. Ony You cannot. If a hero that has the Grail in their backpack is defeated in a battle or forced to retreat/surrender, the Grail is lost forever (at least for the duration of the game).
+TheKnownWorld Not true, in Heroes complete I have hired guy with the grail more than once. It only cost me 100k gold until I got him but that is normal when most AIs are dead. Plus the guy you just dissmissed can reapear in the tavern at the same turn. The point is that it s possible and costly.

In my experience, the AI cheats when using whirlpools. I dont recall seeing an AI loose troops when using them, thats only specific for human players. I might be wrong though, but im pretty certain about that. It goes all the way back to Homam2.
I saw in recomended TheKnownWorld chanel, hes playing homm3 multiplayer, maybe somekind of challange Chris :D ? hes from NA i think dont know for sure i was in hes site just coule of seconds for now, but it just a though ... Or maybe some1 else ... Would be fun to watch multiplayer playthrough.

If I did something like that I'd probably have to edit the videos and add commentary later to keep something of a reasonable pace to the gameplay. Who knows I might try it someday but I would need a good internet connection to do it, which I don't really have right now.

+VOJTAS V the best answer I received about that, if you are interested, is that you have to develop a sizeable army quickly, like in the first month. It makes sense considering the AI develops with you. Of course, human intelligence has proven superior to even the strongest chess engines.
ZenManOh A strong player told me the same thing today. Practically, a strong engine, like hoodini, can calculate way more variations than humans. Their only weakness could be initiative and creativity, according to GM Smirnov, but only people like Magnus Carlsen come close to exploiting this. My initial comment implied that the heroes CPU can be fought if you get a good army soon.
ZenManOh When I fought against a decent engine, I managed to beat it after a few tries, but strategy was only a part of it. I made sacrifices and piece movements that no one would expect in a normal match. I knew my weaknesses, but I found the engine at a loss as well. My plan to checkmate the king was unclear, but the moves contributed to an artistic attack.
Actually I played this game when I was eight years old at 2000 and love it so much, it's very glad to see your video.

No you have to be level 10 or have advanced diplomacy.

In the HD Mod you can use quick combat DURING the battle. You just have to press Q to do that - saves a lot of time :)
