I think MM 6 was probably the best. I also played 7, 8 and 9.

I kind of liked my magic 10 but the big downside was no monster respawn. Being able to grind levels indefinitely was part of the fun for me

You can get amagetdon in magic shrine in the middle of the undergrond. Also you can get resurrection from magic shrine on an island in the middle of the map. Nevertheless, this map gets ridiculous hard toward month 4 that when the red breaks out and I don’t know if anyone can beat it idk I gave up

I've tried playing this map and got my ass kicked like 211 when a guy appeared with faerie dragons. I guess you kinda have to plan for stuff on this map and not just run around aimlessly. Can't say I'm a big fan of maps where you are basically machine learning every step necessary and avoid every point of failure. Hope it opens up more after pink is gone.

It's really sad for Kiwi/Bowser because promoted Kiwi is the best character in terms of mobility/defense. He's the only promoted character that is floating aka he basically fly but still retains terrain defense bonus (Peter unpromoted is like this too). And he has the highest standard movement of 7, but yeah the low HP is a killer since his defense doesn't make up for it on Super. You'd need to level him to at least 30 before promotion and use all the cheerful breads on him to be somewhat viable.

Love your Heroes 3 vids, I watched you since way back. There is something really calming about your commentry and even though i love Playing HoMM 3 sometimes i just dont have the will to play harder maps and your playthroughs manage to scratch that itch.

Would be cool to know how many hours people spend in total to create maps like this one.

29:03 After beating Taros and getting the caravan, both Rick and another merchant appear at Hassan's entrance. That merchant has the best upgraded weapons available so far in the game until you get out of Creed's mansion and return to the rebuilt hometown, which is 5 more battles away.

I would say the darkerfall 2.0 modlist on nexus is very good.

Actually, if you don't get the very rare spell, you get a spellbook or retort instead. If you don't get the rare spell, you get a 1600 budget magical artifact instead if possible or 1600 mana crystals if you would already get 3 other items from that place.

Classic mistake. Specialized army and research gives huge buffs to enemy xp levels. Basically makes game very tough, if you don't want that you need to research everything equally. No matter if you use it or not (rumor says you need at least 1 unit of each type in army to avoid further penalty anyways). The formula is: Max research grade+ average unit grade, divided by 2 gives Working Grade. Enemy gets exp level bonus equal to Working Grade - Average Research Grade (average of all your research). Which means if you research only couple techs then your average research will be very low, while having Working Grade very high, and that will be huge exp bonus to enemy exp levels they recruit and gold bonus (+10% more gold for each penalty level).
