- The Ryan Coogler Challenge is a custom scenario with the same settings as the Masochist Challenge, but with a few more rules.
Rule 1: I can only use crossbows.
Rule 2: No food glitch.
Rule 3: I am not allowed to trap enemy archers and oil pots in their walls when sieging a castle.
Ryan selected England as the map to perform this challenge.
The settings are the following:
Advanced Farming: On County Status: Weak
Armies Eat: Yes Exploration: Off (Sorry, that would take too long)
Starting Castle: None Difficulty: Impossible
Weapons: None Time Limit: No Limit
Nobles: Five (Max) Army Size: No Army
Crowns: 100 (Lowest) Fight: All

All too easy! Are there any changes you've thought of to make the game difficult? The only thing I can think of is having to only use Siege towers.
The most difficult thing I tried was beating the original campaign with mercenaries only. No drafting. I wasn't able to do it. I made it to Italy. Once the AI gets stone-based castles, it doesn't work. The largest merc army you can purchase is 250 macemen, and it's just not enough.
@@maceshigh1 maybe Mercs & peasants only? Are siege towers ever used? I get the auto calc on defending the castles, but it's one of the most fun aspects of the game. I've always liked tower defense games.
@@ryan.coogler Lol, I have never used the siege towers. I'll see what I can do.
@@maceshigh1 I've also thought about how hard it would be to do Dairy only. I don't understand it how to ever use it consistently. Do matter how many people are assigned, it runs out.
@@ryan.coogler So after 18 attempts, I have concluded that dairy only is impossible. I cannot get my starting county remotely close to ok before I'm taken over. Sorry, but I tried.
