    Hey TST Industries, I want you guys to know that you guys making these how-to videos is actually a huge boost to sales. Making good quality parts and then telling us how to put them on is a solid marketing strategy, and is going to work on me yet again. You need to go ahead and slip a small bonus into the guy's check next week who came up with this idea

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 4 lety +1

      Hmmm...Thanks. Bart is the one that started to produce videos solo back in the day when he and his wife were the only people in the company. We were trying to get away from using printed instructions because you just cannot convey the detail and also special tips on paper. It ended up helping to market the parts and that was a plus. The main benefit really is that people who buy our parts don't have to ride to a shop, get a ride to pick them up, pay for installation, then do the ride to shop for pickup shlep. That is just such a barrier to certain parts. Since inception of this company we have strived for installation ease to be part of the product, and rolling out with these videos has helped us achieve that.

    I would like to see an aftermarket shroud to wrap around the exhaust, somewhat how the OEM fender did. To me the exhaust just looks bare and unfinished in this state.

      The tail light that we designed, developed, and produce for these bikes. We actually make a non integrated, standard integrated, and programmable in smoked and clear lens. Have a look tstindustries.com/tst-led-in-tail-integrated-tail-light-cbr600rr-2007-2012.html

    Just installed this from you guys. Not your fault but it ended up costing me another $20 since the second I attempted to loosen the bolts on servo case they were so seized they cracked the case. I zip tied it back in like a neurosurgeon and it'll work until my new case arrives.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 7 lety

      Sorry to hear that. If you didn't purchase one yet check out MRcycles...I think they have them for something like 8 bucks.

    • @ketchuponthedog
      @ketchuponthedog Před 3 lety

      This happened to me too. I think holding the case from underneath solid at the mounting points and slowly loosening the bolts would prevent this from happening. also not too tight when putting the case back on. The case isnt well made

    I have a slightly bigger number plate I don't know i can work around that.
    I'm also asking if the heat from the exhaust won't ruin the number plate?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 4 lety

      If there is no physical contact then the radiant and convective heat should not affect number plate. We have sold thousands of these mounts since 2003 and haven't had that issue. As far as fit goes, that's going to have to be up to you. EU plates are huge, and some other areas in the world also use big plates. Those are tough to position right on these mounts.

  • @st8kout1
    @st8kout1 Před 8 lety

    I was worried about the plate light being too close to the heat of the muffler on my '09 cbr600rr. I ended up mounting the bracket under the fuse box. It's not quite centered side to side but it still looks good, and the light is farther away from the muffler. I suppose you could put the light at the bottom of the plate shining upward, but because of the angle of the plate a lot of light would be shining towards the rear of the bike.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 8 lety +1

      We have been mounting our license plate lights in this location without any trouble for years. We have sold thousands of these setups and all customers mounted their license mount and plate light in this same way. Nobody has ever had problems with this configuration.

    At 5:18 when removing the bolt and holding the serbo case. The case seem to not want to get off as if it was stuck to the wires you can see at 5:18. Do you know what im doing wrong? I cant seem to finish the installation since i cant even remove it!

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 3 lety

      There are two screws there that you need to remove before trying to get the case out. If you did remove both of those screws then maybe something spilled there in the past that was sticky and is holding it together. These bikes used the same setup for the servo from 2007 to now and I did a lot of these installations never having them stuck together.

  • @chapuwins82
    @chapuwins82 Před 7 lety

    I bought this for my 09 cbr 600 rr . It looks great but it's rubbing my back tire. My bike was lowered before I bought it . If I raise the suspension up will it stop the plate from rubbing the tire ?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 7 lety +1

      This system was designed for 600RRs with unaltered, or minimally altered ride height. It works well in most setups, but if the bike is lowered too much then you don't have enough space where the bracket mounts and that will result in your license plate rubbing. If you return the bike to stock height you will not have a problem. This is of course contingent upon the bracket itself being installed as per instructions.

      We did remove the heatshield for our application. We produce and sell a tail light that fits in the tail and has the signals built in, and also has programmable light patterns. That is what we used for indicators.

    In most states and all of Canada, it is illegal to mount your license plate in a location, or at an angle, which prevents traffic cams from reading it properly. And it is illegal to have a rear mounted plate without a white light of illumination. (it can be incandescent or LED, but not any color)

      kjacobson351 This is an installation instruction video for the license plate bracket only. The end of the video has a link to the installation video for an in-tail tail light. We offer two different kits for rear lighting on this bike model.
      1. Signals integrated into the taillight (see install video here: czcams.com/video/mAXPunV_UxU/video.html ).
      2. Tail lamp has running light and brake light, with external signals (see video here: czcams.com/video/uLt7kem-Z_E/video.html ).
      We highly recommend watching the entire video and following the narrative to get the entire context.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 8 lety

      if you send us the measurements we can see how that works out. We actually sold many of these to Europe over the years and nobody raised an issue. I don't know for sure if this is because they custom fit their plate onto the bracket or maybe it fit as is. I will be in Europe all this coming week so maybe I can get a license plate sample to take back with me to be able to answer these questions in the future.
