I have an immune disorder and have been home the last couple weeks from work sick with a simple cold, but of course a cold has severe impact on me. I just recently watched Five Feet Apart for the first time, and while I couldn’t quite relate to people going through CF, I found it extremely touching to see other people are going through similar things having to wear masks and gloves and keep their distance from others, and I found you through searching for CF blogs. Like I say I don’t pretend to know what you’re going through because my condition is so different, but I wanted to say thank you for posting your journey and helping me see that there are other people out there who have to refrain from getting near others due to something that is out of their control. That means at times friends and family. You are an angel and keep doing what you’re doing. Keep fighting brother, you’re not alone.
I bet the staff there love you. I work in healthcare in a geriatric setting. How awesome that your lungs continue to improve! it's so great 🙂

With COPD they monitor me for diabetes, I've been good but my liver enzymes are well off where they should be. Keep rocking it & stay cool 🤘💜

Your lung function is now officially better than mine. Most recent PFT reading shows deficits restrictive and obstructive. So happy for you and everyone whose life is improved by Trikafta. Unfortunately, it doesn’t hit do much for brain tumor.

Well done. After having hundreds of pints of blood removed due to Hemochromatosis I also know which veins do not work. I always let the nurse know she can use my had as sometimes they are afraid to use your hand veins. Also compared to the needle used to take a pint of blood the one they use to take normal blood is 50 times smaller. I think they prefer when you tell them rather than them trying a vein and failing.
I’m 40. After all this time I STILL don’t remember the steps to pft tests 😂

I didn’t want to get it because of my previous reaction to the HPV vaccine, but my mom made me. 16 months after I got my 12 year old vaccines I developed a chronic illness and there’s now evidence linking the hpv vaccine to my disorder so I am afraid to get any new vaccines.

I have a question about the glucose test. Would the results have potentially been better if you had taken your enzymes with it? I know those are more for food but that drink is highly concentrated. And if you aren't ever eating without your enzymes, wouldn't it be a more realistic result if you took them with the test liquid?
I think they're for fat rather than sugar digestion, so probably not. A lot of sugary food also has fat in it, where the drink doesn't.
