  • Took a trip to North Carolina over the weekend. This is from Lenoir, NC to Boone, NC. The road is U.S. Highway 321 North. Traffic is pretty heavy between Lenoir and Boone. Especially with several events that was taking place in both towns.
Boone, NC is home of Appalachian State University. Along with the college Boone has several tourist attractions like Tweetsie Railroad along with many stores and restaurants. One of the best restaurants in Boone is the Daniel Boone Inn. Family style dining and mouth watering food. If you have never been I would suggest that you try the Daniel Boone Inn. They are located just a couple blocks from ASU. Also the scenery is breath taking when going across the mountain.

Lived out west all my life really. Born and raised in Southern Ca. Lived in Colorado for a couple years when I was younger, never been any further to the East, then moved to the Sacramento area. Lived in the North San Francisco Bay Area for most of my young adult life and then spent four years in Redding Ca. I have been living in Nampa Idaho for almost five years now. Funny how everywhere is kind of the same really isn't it? Climate, weather, and terrain I guess. Snows here a bit. Was scared when I first moved here but got used to it eventually. Bad part is after it snows it generally freezes for a month, not fun. Anyway, enjoyed the ride. 73 John , K6LSN
