- This is kinda wild!!! We are moving right along with our porsche build and all other builds are following right along! We cant wait to be fully moved into our new shop where we can crank some stuff out. However, this isn't going to slow us down too much because we are excited to get this porsche back to original state, with some gooznquad touches! Cant Wait!!!

It seems like bodywork wise it may be easier to repair the damage on the shell and then paint it blue and swap all the parts onto it. Either way can't wait to see it.

Could that 'turbo' sound just simply be an exhaust leak in that area, as exhaust leaks often chirp or make odd sounds depending on the size/shape of the hole/gap, its like whistling.
I’d say exhaust leak first. If not then probably the turbo honestly.

I doubt that it’s an exhaust leak. Honestly sounds like either the compressor or exhaust wheel hitting the housing slightly. They’ll be able to tell by pulling both sides.

When I first saw the Porsche I thought that's pretty far gone. After seeing the parts tub you bought that should ease repairing the body tub. Also seeing that the suspension mounting points all seemed good, and it was just the bolt on suspension pieces now I can see how that will make it easier to fix. Should be a real Goonzquad screamer when it's done.
Ever since they brought back that lambo I believe they can bring back anything 😂
Now that you guys need to take it easy for a bit this could be the perfect time to the garage floor coated!

That noise sounds like an exhaust leak, when your exhaust leaks past a gasket you sometimes get a noise like to that. Hard to tell through the internet tho haha.

Or even just an exhaust pipe rattle - I'm sure the exhaust mounts are all bent or broken, which might be allowing the exhaust pipe to rattle against something nearby at certain RPMs.
I just had one of these noises in the shop on an ecoboost F-150. The manifold was warped and the noise came from the gasket... Like holding a blade of grass between your fingers and blowing.
Yeah, sounded like waste gate chatter to me.

I'm so glad that you both are doing well and healing. I don't have every section of social media, but I know I've been missing Pops on here. You are growing fast and things coming together. 1 thing i highly advise for your shop are some type of fire sprinkler system. You can have like 15 cars stored in your shop and next thing you know an electrical fire can happen, a wildfire out of no where or some you guys might have some type of hater do bad things. Also that hot car part that flung into the air could’ve started a fire because imagine if it touched the plastic on the insulation, who knows how fast that would’ve spreaded

@@tuTWENTY there is also the possibility of that chassis being damaged that they hadn't shown us, and is a parts only title.
It would have a different VIN/chassis number which would be a nightmare to have registered.

I don't think the front-lip goes down. The button you are probably referring to in the center console is for the front-lift system. It is used to get into driveways and past speedbumps, etc. Real wing should auto-deploy around 75 mph if the conditions require it.
There is an extra for the air front-lip (on 911 - 992) but it's only available trough the infotainment . the physical button is for the front lift system , wichs is also an extra ...ofc

Personally i would take everything of the the old one and put it all on the new frame rather than cutting it all up and welding it all.
the parts car had damage drivers side front which is the only good part on the blue car lol

Plus u have to think about the wiring, hoses, and everything else like that.

Rebuilding a complete vehicle inside and out with a different VIN number and pre existing damage is WAYYYYY more expensive and labor intensive than replacing and rebuilding 75% of the exterior body panels.

The damage on the shell is way worse than you might think, front wheel well on the driver side had a very bad hit, i saw pictures of it before it was stripped.

I love your channel, I've watched it since the mustang build, and it gives me a lot of happiness and inspiration to see how much you've evolved and keep always learning new things and doing amazing things.
Love what you guys are doing with these cars. A lot of people your age and even the older generation of people can't do what you guys do but what makes me cringe sometimes is that you guys want to do test drives and burnouts when the car is barely 40% done and it would cause more damage than you are repairing. My suggestion is, I know you are excited and you want to try it, but slow down and think about what needs to be done before you full send it.
They need to develop some personal restraint when the vehicle is in poor condition I agree.
They know that driving it is a big moment for themselves and the channel so they get excited, you called it.
I would never imagine flipping over a car I intended to repair, but I just watch and enjoy the content and once in awhile go

Rebuilding an entire vehicle is much more labor intensive and costly than repairing and replacing 75% of the outside body panels.
That second car is for body panels to be cut out.

Rebuild status is not worthless and there are Millions of rebuilds that are better than stock on the road today and people still pay top dollar since everything can be inspected. I have known plenty of car salesmen and automotive restorers.
No, the front frame on the parts car is toasted, you have to see it before it was stripped to understand is not salvable, their blue car is in way better shape despite having smashed body panels
Get a few LCD projectors, and then you can play looping videos on the walls in the shop. The wall where the boat is, gets videos of it zipping around a lake, and the other walls can be showing videos of your cars on tracks and such. One wall, can be videos of the construction equipment and showing the building of your goonsquadron structures.

My guess is there was some debris in the intake going to the turbo and when you spooled it up it sucked it into the turbo and damaged it.
You guys have to take these down an inspect them fully before you try and run it. I never saw inspections of the intakes and turbo piping .

I will day this put some industrial size ceiling fans to help the shop cool down especially in the summer time! As far as the noise goes out to sounds like the impeller wheel on the turbo . My advice pull apart the piping for the inlet and outlet side and see if the impeller wheel is loose it should be very tight, also look to see if it has and scorch marks . A serpentine belt would make a constant squeezing noise and get louder or go away the higher you rev it. A turbo impeller wheel noise may not be noticable under a light load but still show up under heavy load by means of low boost pressure. I'd look at the left side turbo since the wheel and the suspension system was damaged on that side.
