with how much is being cut out, you should find some one to batch melt everything together and do coins, or dog tags or something made from it. give the fans a little bit of the truck to hold on to.
@10:30 for anyone curious, the offset spacing in the sub framing is for clearance purposes while circle track racing. If you offset the body and frame a half inch or so on the right side it just allows for more clearance and compression during races because as everyone here knows, if you go left, the body rolls right. So more clearance = more adjustment room. Simple theory but complex and cool that it’s been done for decades.
You're right on it's an offset/raised rail chassis, but not the correct side. The left side frame rail is higher than the right, so you can lower the left side or tilt the car more to the left. Which will give more more left side weight, which will also help with lowering the roll center. If you take a completely flat concrete pad and have nothing on the chassis and put the chassis on the ground. The chassis will tilt to the left, which is the driver side.

Ever heard or the 10,000hr rule for mastery? Most everybody who can put 10,000hrs into one single thing will become a master of said thing. Whatever that may be it’s almost always accurate. Find what you love and get to it 😉
Tye worked at CJ Racecars, where Cleetus is getting the new car built. He served under old school tradesmen and we can all see that quality shine through. His knowledge is a tremendous asset to the McFarland team.
Old school tradesman training him and listening and looking twice as much as talking. And he has a passion for it. When you’ll love something you get good at it.
Tye has been in the automotive fabrication game for an exceptionally long time. Easily 15 years or so I'd say. Touched everything from lifted 4x4 trucks to lambos, desert racing trucks, and everything in between.
Just imagine working in any trade and your boss buys you whatever you need to do your job as best as possible. Cleetus is an epic boss/friend to his shop guys.
I was thinking about that too when I realized he's living a fabricators dream pretty much lmao. No strict guidelines or mundane work schedule. Just use creative genius and fabricate with no budget!

While we all love month of Freedom I can bet the he's pretty frazzled by the end of it. That is ALOT of work and we love you for it. People, The #3 truck was raced by Mike Skinner and owned by Richard Clildress RCR, This is retired NASCAR truck series truck turned into a tribute truck. He never even raced a truck.
All this information was in the video when he first purchased the truck the seller made sure to tell him dale never raced this truck . Can't believe it was six years ago he purchased the truck time goes fast while your having fun thanks to cleetus
