DELICIOUS Creamy Loaded Potato Soup

- Today I’m making up some delicious creamy loaded potato soup packed with bacon, cheese, sour cream just a lot of goodness in the pot...Hope y’all give it a try you love cream soups I’m sure you will love this.

You will be needing
7 slices bacon
3 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion or one packed cup finely diced
1 tablespoon finely minced garlic or 2 teaspoons if your not a garlic lover
1/4 flour
3 c. vegetable or chicken stock
5 medium potatoes I like golds do not over cook your potatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
2 to 3 cups of milk
1/2 c. Crema
1/3 c. Sour cream
1 c. Colby jack cheese
Extra chopped crispy bacon sour cream chives and shredded cheese for topping of soup...Enjoy!
My mama would always add ham and extra cheese and omg it was delicious! I lost my mama Thanksgiving of 2020 and I miss her more than anything in this world.... :'( 😪😪😪

I just made this and it was ABSOLUTELY the best thing I've ever had! I substituted the crema for 1 full cup of heavy cream, I added turkey stock, then instead of the Colby jack I added white cheddar and smoked gouda to compliment the bacon! This was absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing! Will definitely be making this all winter! ❤

Love this soup!! I diced some celery and carrots, nuked them in the microwave til tender and added them when when iadded the potatoes. I could find creama a so I used he cream. It turned out great.

Well, you’ve got my mouth watering!! What would you suggest might be a replacement for Creama? I’ve never seen that product in or area (New Jersey).

Heavy whipping cream is the same thing as crema. You get this right where milk is sold. Crema can also be found in the aisle of the Hispanic and ethnic food aisle in your grocery store.

@@CookingWithDonna it's not an expensive dish to make and very easy but time consuming...not to disrespect your cooking but it's a basis I would call it to add other things that you may like
Carrots..ham ..leeks.. celery...BUT then it starts turning into a stew so ...but definitely a very rich winter warmer and as I stated will be making again... thankyou for the reply

Always warm up milk first or your soup will curdle.

Hello Jennifer I have never tried it with beef broth so I’m not sure if you give it a try please let us know how it turned out for you..heavy cream can replace the crema

The seasonings look like it's much more than 1/2 teaspoon........you need more than 1/2 teaspoons to season that big pot of potato soup. To each is own..... season to your own taste buds begin to dance.
It was the salt and seasoning salt plus the chicken broth is salted it had plenty of salt but to each is own as you stated❤️
