Is this the UK's most scenic drive? The 21 mile drive dubbed 'Little Switzerland' in Minehead is the best way to get a taste of England in such a small amount of time hence us dubbing it Little England. From coastal views of the South West to English villages to the Valley of the Rocks, this makes it one of the UKs best driving roads. We started at the YHA in Minehead and made our way to Lynton to pick up a map first before heading out. This journey was a real stand out in our UK travel vlog series, Exmoor national park is as beautiful as it is varied.

After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.
Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now travelling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

My local patch. Nothing like Switzerland, but then it doesn’t need to be. Exmoor is lovely enough.
Merci pour ce petit tour de l'Exmor Park. Nous y sommes allés en février et ce fut incroyable.
Lynton is called ‘Little Switzerland’ mainly because of the architecture of many of it’s buildings.
I live in Western North Carolina in the USA. Some of the scenery in this video reminds me so much of what the Blue Ridge Mountains look like, but you also have the beauty of the ocean, which is absolutely amazing.
Yes, another video. Beautiful scenery. Loved what you captured.
“Little Switzerland” refers specifically to the town of Lynton, which has some chalet-style architecture, particularly along the main drag. Also, the houses cling to a fairly steep sided bowl-shaped valley.
That was an Epic Beaaans Ouuuut! And Valley of tbe Plops made me laugh. Another great video! I love the scenery and the pheasant.
Beautiful place thanks for showing us. ❤
Lynton and Lynmouth is the main area known as Little Switzerland I believe. The route through from Lynton through the Valley of Rocks, Lee Abbey to Martinhoe is beautiful.
I live in a Cheshire village called Kelsall we have a view from our house called ‘Little Switzerland’ :)
You two are so much fun to watch. I love how you play. And Emma's joke made me laugh. I love dorky stuff!
Wow! I have absolutely adored your English road trip vlogs. ❤Exmoor is so gorgeous, truly what I have always envisioned when I think of England from here in America. ❤ This is where I want to travel to when I visit your country! Your vlogs are really the best! Thank you for sharing your beautiful country. I hope to visit soon and I will use your vlogs as my guide. You two are the best! ❤🇬🇧❤🥰
For the first time, I actually mimed, "Beans out" in time. Thanks Beansters. A superb beantastic show. Wow, that strange chicken bird with the long brown tail.
Dave H The bird is a pheasant 😉
@@daniellereid01 Hi. I know it's a Pheasant. It was a joke. You didn't realise? Thanks for the info anyway 😊
I notice that people in the UK tend to compare one place to another a lot . These English people visited the Blue Mountains National Park NSW Australia and they said that this national park has nothing on New Forest National Park in England . I would like to visit this region of England one day . I would love to visit the places that you have shown us in this video too ! Thank you for your lovely video .
Dense forest and small river with narrow roads with twists and turns reminded me of himalayas..
Wow beautiful !!! Exmoor's Little Switzerland
Apart from the Ponies, Goats and the Pheasant, you didn't happen to see any Big Cats? Exmoor is reputed to have one or two, not black like Bodmin's Beast but more like a Lynx. 🧔👸👍🐎🐎🐆🐐🐐
Beautiful, scenic, dramatic! Oh, and so is the scenery! You two are adorable and this is only my first view. New subscriber as of now.
If you think this taste of Britain (UK for American viewers ) is beautiful and interesting, you should meet the British. The Beans are so beautiful and intelligent (Intreaguging, Intreaguging, intereauing, whatever) but of no comparison to the rest of the specimens of Britishness on our sceptered Isle. I know a bloke who can drink 14 pints in one session and eat 7 large pies with chips and mushy peas in one go.
Hello, I am new to your channel, I am from Spain, a pleasure, I love your videos and the routes you do are impressive, how beautiful the United Kingdom is, I love doing routes through nature and fairytale villages. I also usually do mountain and sea routes along trails, if any of you come to Spain I can do some routes that I know, I hope my English is understood xD, since I am not a native but I am learning English.
Thanks for posting. Good video.
Thanks for the video of the English country side, my Dad's side is English/ German I've always wanted to see England, so thanks again.
17 mile drive in California, between Monterey and Carmel.
Beautiful area, very nice guides
Beautiful video!
You guys are awesome. You could make a travel vlog in a white room and I'd still watch it!
4:01 Little Switzerland? Really???? I visited the real Switzerland several times, never seen such beautiful coastline!!!
Beautiful! Much Aloha!
Went here yesterday, amazing place!
Very nice, thanks
Nice!
Maybe it's called "Little Switzerland" because when you see the magnificent views you say, "Holey Cheesus" !!
Thanks.
One of my favourite places ❤
truly lovely stream, that. does Switzerland have trees, green grass and very narrow roads? perhaps that's where the Little Switzerland comes from? and, speaking as an Anglophile Yank, yes, indeed, English is pretty bloody epic! it's really called "The Valley of the Rocks"? someone couldn't come up with anything more original than that??? ha! I see, it's named that for the GEOLOGICAL bit. ok. and you didn't think the goats would poop rocks, did you, so that poo is to be expected. :-)
I wonder if Little Switzerland is a reference to the price of drinks in the local hostelries.
I'm in Preston in Lancashire but have made this a route I have to do next year when it gets a bit drier
Best scenic drive NZ north island driving from Auckland to Wellington
Wow Amezing
Nice place
eastern coast is also beautiful
GOD BLESS U SIS
😊👍❤
Yorkshire moors 😁😁
Liked your new name for Exmoor, Little England. Why is there so few visitors for this beautiful spot?
Whoa, guys, you gotta be careful, no bashing off and driving, you gotta use a layby for that action.
This video is batshit crazy funny. I wish Al had been my geology teacher, for the short period of time before he got fired for using Emma's jokes 🤣
Can you tell yet that we're binging through all your recent videos? 😛
haha he always has to bring it down a level! 😆
What's that song called??
Emma she’s marriage goals 😂😂😂
Did you visit Lynmouth or is it Lynton, the cute village with the funicular? That place looked a bit Swiss to me. It was flooded in the 60s I think and since been rebuilt. there's a dodgy home made model of the old town in one of cute buildings
Lynmouth was flooded in 1950s
That joke.......tumble weed 😉
Hello, how do you do? I like looking Exmoos in UK.
North 500
Nearly choked on my beer! 'you should have been bashing off to it' 😂
One of my favourite lines of the whole channel. I know I said it but it makes me laugh everytime I think about it 😂
That area was never covered in glaciation. The glaciation reached down to south Wales, and no further at its maximum extent. That area is also Devon, with part of Exmoor in Somerset. It is quintessentially Westcountry, unlike the rest of 'England'. From Cornwall.
Best drive in England must be in the Lake District from Ambleside over Hardknott and Wrynose passes and then up to the head of Wastwater to Wasdale Head Inn. And then back again. Take three pairs of underwear each.
UK’s most scenic drive? Certainly beautiful, but I guess this was before you went to Scotland..? 😉
😂 definitely!
Wow!!!! Beautiful!!! Need Men in Tights Running Around! The People that Live that there Dont Know How Lucky they Are. Thanks!!!
la-di-da
Can't tell you how weird it is to see you driving on the left side of the road
London to Kathmandu wasn't bad.
Definitely, that's "Little England" and not "Little Switzerland" because of the quintessential beans.
From a Malaysian fan.
What planet ar you on, you have seen about 10 % of the UK and think that you have seen it all.
I agree these are nice video's but way too much of you when we really want to get some idea of the scenery.
Excuse me!!!!! It is not the "Valley of THE Rocks" it's the "Valley of Rocks" with no "The" in the middle. I lived in Lynton, and spent a lot of time at the "Valley of Rocks". The Goats belong there, they are wild. They were getting closer because they thought you were a danger to their Kids. And by the way, if you scream like that on the top of Ragged Jack, you will be lucky not to be butted off the cliff by the Alpha Male goat and fall 800 feet to the sea. There are many beautiful drives and walks around my home, Exmoor. And when you make information videos, please get the information correct. There was no river, it was a GLACIER which formed the "Valley of Rocks" during the Ice Age!!
We say most definitely in England not for sure.we are not American
Sunglasses in a car?
This would be a great video if it wasn't for the innuendo and swearing just over half way through. I can't now show this to children who would really benefit from seeing a video showing the beauty of England. In effect, it's now a 15 rated video.
Nice video but what a shame that you like to film yourselves so much...
I know, they should call it MeTube instead.
Travel Beans 👍😂👍😂
I thought Exmoor was a skin disease.
Calling things "little" -this or that is almost as annoying as every hipster growing a beard.
