I’m not the biggest fan of science fiction you’ll ever meet but the general concept of “space revolver” gets priority attention from me.
It’s just such a fun aesthetic

The idea of something futuristic still needing a historic means of functioning is oddly appealing.

There was a western themed side scrolling flash game a decade ago on miniclip where the player character had access to a revolver that looked somehwat like this. I think a renaissance in revolvers over the next 20 years would be awesome (bullpup 30 carbine 7-shooter with a 10" barrel anyone?)
That’s really cool. I wish someone could come up with a 3D printed device, to go over the Heritage Tactical Cowboy to cover up the cylinder gap and make a suppressor useful on it. Thanks for sharing this Wrangler upgrade.
Nothing 3d printed is going to make an effective gas seal. There's a really cool old guy I know from the shooting range who has a suppressed Nagant revolver. It's really fun to shoot and looks straight Savage with a suppressor or compensator screwed onto the barrel. FYI the Nagant is one of only 2 or 3 large scale production revolvers that can be effectively suppressed
I definitely want to get a Ruger Wrangler or a Heritage Roughrider “Tactical Cowboy” model. They just seem so damn fun and cool!
I love my wrangler. Ive heard good things about the Heritage Roughrider also. I got my wrangler earlier this year and was stuck choosing between those 2 guns. I personally went with the wrangler because I liked the bronzed color more, and i liked the little bit of heavier weight on the wrangler.
My Ruger wrangler is my favorite handgun to pew pew at the range for fun, so I look forward to the final version and possibly trying to print one myself :D
What I want to know is what in the heck did u do that revolver (?) in center frame with the white grips. That looks GNARLY in all the best ways

This is so cool. I do enjoy the look and idea of these kits that don't alter the gun in any permanent way. I'll have to look through the videos and see if there are any 1911 kits. Some say it's goofy, but I do like what Recover tactical has done with there grip panel and rail systems.

You could size the under barrel hole for a Lasermax guide rod laser. I've always thought that would be an awesome mod for a revolver. Especially with the space revolver style it has.

Ive got one of the v1 designs on my 6.5" rough rider. It's pretty sick, tho i do wish there was a lower profile ejector rod for the RR version
I designed one, it fits on either the RR or the Wrangler. You just need to cut and fit your own metal ejector rod onto the handle. I don’t remember which release has the ejector handle included.

Found you on the odd sea. 😁 Im an Australian and 9mm rounds are difficult to get. Could you do a video on the 3d printable .22 cals available. I wanted to make the fgc9 and found a spring kit but wouldnt be able to get the ammo. All the .22s seem to be single fire pistol guides.

id like to see you do a wingman kit from apex/titanfall. not sure there are any revolvers that would really fit the proportions of the thing, but it would be awesome to see a 357 or 44 kitted out like the wingman. based off your previous work im sure you could do it justice

how did you get a round extractor to sit at a 90 degree position like that? my extractor sits directly underneath the barrel (6 o clock)
It just rotates to be where it needs to be when you install it.

Calipers and CAD software. I use Fusion360 for all of my design work.

I find this really inspiring! Okay hear me out. SBR it. Add clamp style skeleton stock, incorporate in under barrel guide rod viridian laser, a cheap Amazon scope on printed rail and a little fake LED control panel mounted into the side of the kit would really round out this package!

Would this print need to be adjusted for scale to fit on the birdshead model?
Depends on if there are changes to the barrel length or upper frame with the Birdshead model. Usually they just switch the lower grip frame which wouldn’t change anything with this.
What kind of material did you print it with? I'm not sure if I should go with PLA+ or ABS.
I do all of my printing with PLA+

Wranglers are Cerakoted. It should be fine.

I have multiple designs with rails, no rails, optic mounts, etc. Basically whatever anyone could want, they can download and print 👍

Since you’ve done video game guns and now revolvers, how about the Diamondback revolver from Deus Ex? It has similar aesthetics.
I saw one of these on a Ruger Wragler at the range last year, now I know who made it! I mean this is a genuinely creative and innovative idea to dress up a super cheap rimfire revolver. I own half a dozen heritage 22s because they show up for dirty cheap and I can't resist! Id love to pick up one of there kits (I have intentionally avoided buying a printer because I already have two obsessive hobbies and I really want to stay married)
Embrace the inevitable and get that printer. Balance it out by printing fun things for your spouse!
Hey i noticed on your gun that the ejection rod handle is on the right hand side but on my wrangler the rod handle is on rhe left side. Is my gun going to be compatible with this body kit still?
Your ejection rod isn’t on the left. It’s also on the right. I promise.
