Sorin, love your videos and keep up with the good work, however, I'm a bit sceptical on using plain tap water on electronics. When I did electronics back in the day I was told to use de-ionised or distilled water to avoid mineral deposits on the contacts of the electronics and short when water evaporates. Well done mate! Bravo 🎉

Just look at Adrian Black from Adrian's Digital Basement who is washing all his computer motherboards with tap water, just putting them under the shower. You can see that for a brief second in any of his videos, in the Intro. No problems so far and he washed hundreds or maybe thousands of them. He talked about this and showed the process in some of his videos. And he is not the only one who is doing this. Maybe tap water is not the perfect way to clean, but it's working. A isopropyl alcohol rinse after washing it's advised.

@@AzuaraRuiz-md1bi : Thanks for the info. I went to check the mouser page and you're right (3.32 bucks), the only thing that puzzled me was that when I downloaded the datasheet (right there on the mouser page) it references this part number TAS2770. I saw the schematic for each terminal and it corresponds to a 30 pin IC that uses reballing like the one in the video. Another way of saying it, so TAS5770LCOYFFR = TAS2770 (they are pin to pin equivalent) and both made by Texas Instrument. Again, thanks for your answer because it makes us investigate (deeper) and that's how you learn. Motherboard? Yes, it is very expensive (prohibitive). All the best.

Warm the shaft of the toothbrush just the other side of the bristles with the hairdryer without burning your fingers. The toothbrush will bend and you can get up to a 90 degree angled head. Whenever Sorin fixes macs he is very sloppy. You start by looking at the power rails and go through the list. With schematics and boardviews available its very simple to follow through in a methodical way. Like louis rossmann does. Sorin is great with PC laptops when he has no schematic but unstructured when it comes to macs.

Sorin. He said these components are expensive. The customer has to decide if he wants to pay for a new chip or if the main thing is that his computer turns on and goes silent.)

Would you rather have no laptop at all or no sound on one speaker? I would chose the latter. It is hard finding chips for apple products and if I was the customer I would rather have my laptop back now then wait over a week for a chip. They will still have stereo sound with an external amplifier.

Send your MacBook to Louis Rossman, he will charge you 1200 dollars and replace the amplifier. Sorin got this job from a local "repair" shop. That means fixed fee. Probably 60 pounds or less. He cant waste time in replacing that stupid chip. He did his job. The MacBook is turning on. The customer can recover his data.
