I definitely agree that most diaper bags are bulky and not designed for function after the baby/early toddler stage. I like the features of this one. Thanks for the thorough review.
Ok I bought it and wanted to give a quick update. Be aware that this is a slim width backpack. The straps feel a little uncomfortable for someone with broad shoulders or a wider frame. I like all the pockets though!

wow that is a very functional backpack! i want a nice travel backpack but man they are pricey!
I've found nicer backpacks tend to be pricey, so that's why I'm trying to find the perfect one so I no longer need to buy anymore lol

More colors would be nice. Besides that they really thought about everything.
Agreed a couple more color options would be nice. Initially I though I'd like black more, but the mossy rock color has grown on me.
