Book played absolutely out of his mind. I don't think anyone expected such a high level of performance from him. Made Anakin work his ass off for that win.
He had such a great tournament and it still blows my mind that fight with Super Akouma. This was a pretty entertaining tournament all around and it was cool to see a lot of different stuff in action.

Man, Book had it. He choked, but it happens to the best of us.
Also, Book’s Jin is truly something to behold. The sidestep EWHF and whiff punish EWHF is amazing.
He choked, yes, but he also got really unlucky there at the end. Multiple jackhammers that whiffed just in front of his parry attempt, a trade at the end that leads to a full combo for Anakin in a niche situation etc. Anakin definitely deserved that win but it was damn close.

You can say the same for Anakin. So many times he should've won, but he didn't execute the One Punch combo.

He's got a lot of sick moves.
@@Kjernekar Jack's got a lot of weaknesses the top tiers don't. Jack has a slower 11f jab, low combo damage, bad sidestep due to huge body which also makes him take more damage from Jack specific combos, and a crappy rage drive.
@@Kjernekar Jack is not bad at all.. but pretending jack is a top tier is also ignorant to the fact that Jack has some obvious flaws unlike top tier chars like fahkumram, leroy, and julia etc
Jack started to get better as a viable character in T5 and has been that every entry in the series since

If Book stuck to Jin in the first game who knows the difference that one game would have made. Amazing grand finals and I hope Book now realizes he is THE Jin player. Switching characters only holds him back
yes. I don't think there is a better Jin on earth. CBM even doesn't get close (even though he's gotten a lot better over the years)

@@MarcyRavenManji Even though Chikurin doesn’t show Jin much in tournament anymore I think he’s clearly a level ahead of Book with Jin. Maybe Atiff Butt’s Jin is on another level too.

Sure Jin is very strong, but lidia is just as strong with 0 execution😂 thats why cbm left jin with noctis and book left jin with lidia.. both noctis and lidia is waaay easier to use

You’re an idiot. If you parry at the wrong time you can get launched. People complain about the autoblock but it’s seriously minuscule. How bout you actually play the character and try to use the parry and see how brain dead it is. The main people that bitch about Jin are always the people that don’t play him.
Lies because you have to know what you can punish with after you parry. Whether it be 2,4 d3+4 or 1+2. If you good with jin you can electric after the parry
@@quilluntouchableentity2034 Its a completely safe parry, he's guarding from the very 1st frame. You can even break throws in the middle of it. Literally mash it out against every high & mid, including unblockables, with zero risk. The more I think about it the dumber it sounds.

Book was coming from the losers bracket. He already lost so he has to win the set twice to win the tournament. The reset is after the first set is won by the loser

I agree with you bro, any character can beat any character. But still, DLC chars are way stronger than the average legacy tekken 7 character.
That isn't a Jack only combo it works on all the heavies at the wall, and its also only 5-6 damage more than just going for geyser and worse OkI so its not like it changes the matchup insanely. Also its not all fun and rainbows against jack, higher damage hellsweep combos don't work vs him/f4 pickup is harder at longer ranges and anakin has probably played hundreds and hundreds of jins.
The thing is, is Jin's 50/50 is insanely slow compared to others so him having decent tools doesn't mean much if someone with longer range and easier whiff punishment like jack 7 play well its very hard to crack the defense with Jin. Offline his hellsweep is just on the cusp of being react-able and the best players will react to it.
That said I do believe Jin could be top 10 even now (personally think hes a little lower) and if he was buffed or others at the top nerfed he could be the best character in the game again and yes book should just play him but only because I love Jin and Lidia just isn't as cool to me.
The only reason I can think Book didn't pull Jin out at all during top 8 is so people forgot how good he is with him. Only reason why I can think on why he didn't pick him

You need to get back in the game & back on the stage. Then ask for a sponsor. Loads of other folk made it there without one. If the American Wrestling god that is Lil Majin's King can make Top.8 ... im sure there would be a few sponsors out there willing
I never left the game. Never stopped streaming it nor putting out content for it. As I've said on stream and on here probably over 1k times.....IRL comes 1st. I have other big things that out prioritize traveling to events. No, I'm not retired. When the stars align, I will travel again.
Oh and simply placing in events doesn't guarantee you a sponsor. There are very specific things that sponsors want and they aren't always based off of performance, personality, nor any qualities in general. If only you knew....
As a Jin main I cried when book did 2,1 at the wall after that parry instead of doing 2,4 for the wall splat into a wall combo. He literally could’ve killed him there.

Book definitely better than CBM at this point. More fluid, less execution mistakes, and more loose usage of the moveset.

Being good doesn't guarantee you a sponsorship. In fact, you don't have to be good at games to get sponsors. It's all about who you know and who wants you based on their own personal ideals and they want/need for their organization.
