Thank you! I knitted a sweater that I love but it stretched to the point that I couldn't wear it. I had asked for some guidance at a knitting shop but no one there had any ideas for me. I have been looking for answers and I found it on your site. I am so pleased....

Just found this video, and it was exactly what I needed! My first time sewing elastic into a knitted project, to tighten up the brim of a hat. Your tutorial was so clear and easy to follow, and my project turned out exactly how I wanted! :)

This is great, your finished result looks so good! I can see this being immensely helpful with sweater patterns that are knit entirely in one piece including the neckband since those tend to stretch out the most. I bet you could use this for socks too. Something else that I’ve found is using a folded neckband, the act of sewing it down keeps it from stretching so much and has a really finished look to it. I used it on a raglan sweater for my husband to make sure it never loses shape, as well as doing a crochet chain along the shoulder seams to reinforce them, kind of my secret trick.
P.S. I always love seeing Nutella!!

Wow, I followed your instructions on putting elastic in the loose neck edge on a sweater and I cannot tell you how thankful I am I found your video. It saved the sweater for me and it looks like there is no elastic there at all, plus there is a bonus, it’s much easier to get over my head with a little bit of elastic in there

Yes!! This is perfect!! Exactly what I needed. I spent the last month knitting myself a jumper and then I tried it on and hated it because the ribbing is so loose and shapeless that it looks like a tent. I was considering adding shirring elastic but I didn't know how to stitch it so this tutorial is exactly what I needed to watch.

Nice instruction video for fixing stretched out sweaters. I will use your technique on the stretched out collars of my dog's winter sweaters. I get the sweaters large enough to fit the neck and shoulders of my beautiful pit bull. It only takes a half dozen wearings before the collar opening has stretched to the point where it sort of hangs there and I'm constantly tugging it back up where it belongs! This will work to fix the problem!

This could not be more perfectly timed, even though it is three year old! I went up a few sizes as I prefer oversized jumpers but as the neckline is so low, it is only just narrow enough to not fall off my shoulders when I stay very still. I am going to use this to tighten it up a bit so I can actually wear my newly knitted jumper!
