Honestly I dont think Veronica's that annoying, shes just super focused. I bet she was nervous talking to the judges and that nervousness made her rush to talk over the judges/a lot, it seemed like she was just used to doing the elevator pitch and didnt realize the less she said, the better for this show

I might be very wrong and she's prlly just that annoying but i don't really buy into what reality tv shows portray. In the rest of the season (the clips i've seen at least) she doesn't bring up the fact that she's a lawyer or anything and i found the person she appeared to be in the intro to be somewhat different from the one she seemed to be in the rest of the show.

Its really disappointing to think that judges of such reputed shows are so single minded..i mean do they really think a good dish can only be french or italian... Claudio also later cumulated chinese , vieatnamese ,indian ,thai , japanese and other cuisines into a singular "asian cuisine".
thats not what they were saying they are saying to win a competition like this u have to know a variety of cuisines and are thinking she is a "one trick pony" and only knows one type

KB the queen ...when did any of judges say the only good dish can only be french or italian? especially since Claudio is from South America and Elton is from Asia.
Not to mention this is Master Chef Canada. I know its different in Europe and other places. But the US and Canada typically refer Asian to mostly just to East Asia (China, Korea, Japanese). South Asian usually refers to India, Philipines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia. Middle Eastern refers to Pakistan, Afghanstan, etc. Its just an umbrella term; they’re not saying its all the same thing. They have also used that term for European and South American food as well.
Also, shouldnt you provide an examples of how they only did it with dishes from Asia? I imagine they went hard on Veronica because she was arrogant and was shitting on another country’s dish. However, I havent never seen the judges do that with other Asian contestants. Especially since Eric was the first Master chef winner.
