With MAD ACES, Daniel Madison teaches his approach to a ‘Cutting Aces’ idea that allows the Magician to be hands-off for the most part, allowing the participant to do everything… They shuffle the deck, they cut the deck into four piles, then, once the ‘magic’ takes place at the most unexpected moment, the participant can even turn over the cut-to cards to reveal, the Aces. Madison shares EVERYTHING, from the mechanics and practice to the perfectly-timed execution, offering an in depth lesson on the psychological approach to a hands-off trick in which with participant always feels in control of the cards.

For a long time i was a bit thrown off by the difficulty of many of your tricks. I always started your videos, watched the awesome intros and the amazing effects! And then get bummed out when I watched the tutorials... but you’ve inspired me to practice more! And now I can follow many of your moves! (Not as smooth tho). ...looking again I see that the setup was different for the initial demo. It wasn't done on a freestanding table.
Hey Douglas, I see all magic, all sleight-executions as mainly situational, so each time I perform it will always be a bit different, depending on my environment, who I'm with, where I perform etc, so the intro is really just a reflection of that - with full transparency, I have a Savant attached to my table, so the cards were cleaned up there - it's not the most practical thing to teach or suggest, but I also have one at my tattoo studio and use it all the time! But, in a different place, with a different setting, I would have cleaned up accordingly with whichever method was best for that specific moment!
