I saw Crowbar live by accident. I went to see The Melvins at The Masquerade in Atlanta. They finished early and I was drunk so I walked into another part of the venue that had Crowbar playing on a different stage. Great show. FACT!

I first got into Crowbar because I saw Phil wearing their shirts during those early tours in the 90's. Same thing with Eyehategod too. Killer New Orleans music.

I had the privilege to meet Kirk when Crowbar came to Louisville, KY. He made a pit stop at Mom's Music before the gig at Diamond Pub to get a microphone and a friend of mine calls me, "Dude! I don't care what you're doing right now get your ass down here at Mom's music you'll never believe who walked in here!" Without hesitation I got in my car and hauled ass to Mom's music and walk in and there he was. "Kirk, you're such an inspiration to my music! Care for a quick picture with me and my girlfriend?" "Thank you man. Yeah, sure no problem!" A little surprised by how short he was! Lol. But a legend and bar none one of the most down to earth severely underrated rockstars around! 🤘
I remember back in the day, a friend of mine came over to my place with a cassette, which was like the "Crossing all over" CDs and the first song that came was "waiting in silence", which totally blew me away! I am a Crowbar Fan ever since...

Kirk is fucking awesome! He's blunt, to the point, a great performer, Crowbar kicks ass and having meet him after a concert, he's one one cool, down to earth person.
Kirk rules, man. I met him at Peabody's in Cleveland, we talked Carnivore, Pantera, Down and of course crowbar as we knew each other. Then even took a pic and took my scribbled facebook for our band...he probably didn't like it but that's all good. He's a good man. And top musician. Rock on Kirk! \m/

7:10 I did a hard rock cover of Eleanor Rigby back in 1994. Think it's on my channel still. I did it on an 8 track cassette recorder (Tascam 688 MIDI Studio).
Damn. I remember this shit. Saw The Slugs open for Exhorder in 1990 at Storyville, and a friend of mine bought a guitar from Craig Nunenmacher's brother Steve Nunenmacher (Stevie Blaze of Lillian Axe) in the 80s. 1987-1990 was an awesome time to live in the NOLA area.
I just went and listened to Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles trying to imagine how it would sound sung by Kirk, but I can't put into words the sensation
I grew up next to Matt's friends. Listening to these guys hanging out, partying, sometimes hearing them fuckin' off on the guitars is what exposed me to metal a bit more than I had already been. They are why I was even remotely interested in playing drums in high school. Killer dude and overall fun group.

Mike Williams, from EHG was also singing for a band called Crawlspace with the mighty Joe Fazzio on drums.
They both opened for Graveyard Rodeo that night at the VFW hall and Christians were protesting outside.
