Not for nothing but I've been begging majority report, on and off for the last 5 Years to focus more on our illegal immigration policies. This has been a priority of mine because it's the one and only thing that we could change in 5 seconds with the stroke of a pen. It's the only one of the many critical issues that face our country that can be changed immediately. So we should be focusing all of our energy and attention on that. Tragically, Biden and his team are sitting back and laughing at how stupid the Republicans look after his administration called their bluff. Enjoying the political games they are playing with the lives of millions of desperate human beings who are being brutalized every effing day. TMR is basically the only channel that I follow and I love you but you dropped the ball on this.
We already have a housing crisis why are we adding more to it ? I’d say pause all entry to the US for at least a year and catch up on all the backlong. Address issues here in the US. Then start letting people in. A country needs immigration you can’t get rid of it.
The housing crisis is caused by Americans being too poor to catch up with the market and not wanting to move to smaller towns. There's enough housing for everyone but not everybody wants to move to Smalltown, Kansas. There's plenty of houses in Detroit but nobody is moving to them. We could go Soviet style and forcibly move people to these areas to solve the problem or seize the vacation homes of the rich turn them into public housing.
As if the _guests_ are the problem for what we caused here. I'm not gonna turn them away because we got stupid people in charge and even stupider people voting them in to keep things bad.

This is great. I've had a break from news and twitter etc because of poor mental health. I'm really seeing that I've not really been fully present. I would not watch too much 'activist' type stuff because I feared the affect on my mental health (I'm on disability for mental illness). I think I've gotta learn to 'suck it up' as George Galloway would say and watch it all, the world depends on it!
I appreciate your awareness of the suffering in the world. Too many people are deliberately ignorant. But definitely prioritize your mental health. Be kind to yourself. I'm not sure that "suck it up" is good advice. It's probably bad advice most of the time.
Thank you for outlining the real problem. Too many of us have checked out, and the ones who haven't are feeling helpless and hopeless. I was recently undergoing a mental health evaluation to see if I'm depressed because all I care about is what's happening politically in this country and I'm seething with anger and outrage that burns inside of me. Lol, they recommended group counseling and I told them that would be a bad idea. I don't watch any television news or listen to any radio news. I haven't since election night 2016. I follow the headlines and only read stories from sources that I know. My friends tell me to stop following the news as if that will make all the bad stuff go away and then I can give a crap about who wins the Super Bowl or this year's Oscar nominations. It's the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness that eats away at us. It's like watching, in slow motion as a speeding freight train approaches a bus filled with nuns and orphans and rescue puppies that's stuck on the tracks. There's just nothing we can do and we don't want to see it. Ironically, in politics there actually is something we can do but we don't have the will to demonstrate on a daily basis.
