Thanks for sharing. On my Eachine E58 I connected a cable directly to the end of the battery (after the BMS) to be able to add an extra battery. I am still working on it BUT one thing is very important ... use a LiPo battery with a BMS that can delivered at least 8C. I have a 500mAh LiPo battery that used to be inside a motion detector LED and it didn't work as the BMS was not strong enough. It took me a while to figured it out. A 500 mAh battery can fly my drone for 8m15s, so the drone consumes about 3.6 Amp, so 3600/500 = 7.2 so the battery bms must be a minimum of 8C. What I am doing is to double the power by adding an extra 500mAh on top of the Eachine E58. I do not expect double fly time as the extra battery will add an extra weight. I am also working to get more distance by adding antenna in controller and the drone.

Does the drone not just pull 3.7v from the battery so using a 1200 mah 3.7v should work?
I'm not sure that the drone has sufficient esc's; to cope with the extra load. Great experiment!
I picked up one of these E58 drones on Wish for under $50 CDN and it came with 2 600mah batteries. I am planning to get another battery (probably 850, at least) but I guess it is a balancing act between more capacity and too much weight for this drone?

Hmm. How old is he. There are loads on the market. Aim for one with GPS and an independent controller. Have a look at Banggood.com. an excellent beginner drone at the moment is the Jjrc f6 or the sjrc f11. Not super cheapo but sturdy and great beginner fliers. 👍👊✔🎖🔊🙋

thats no good way for the drone. Because you dont center the weight of the accu. Everytime you change it you must recalibrate your drone. Better you try to put a new accu in the original case...there are lot of videos to do this. But the idea is ok ... go ahead :)
