- In the last episode we modify the eachine e58 drone transmitter and upgraded to a 2.4Ghz dipole antenna to double the range and today we test how many meters we have boosted the signal and we extended it way beyond the wifi FPV range that we need to upgrade next!

Nice range test. Good to know E58 isn't software limited. Another guy did antenna mod on E520S and found it didnt extend range at all as it was limited by software.
Thanks for the info! but i did so many different antenna upgrades and mods with improving the range almost everytime the max for the e58 was 600 meters that 10x more then the stock eachine e58

How To DIY Rc Getting ready for work now, will get info to you in a day or so. I got mine from a company in New Zealand (if I'm remembering right ). It cost about 35.00 US. You'll need a UHF radio. I got one from Amazon for around 30.00 US. I haven't tried it yet but plan on testing it soon. I'll try to do a video when I do.
thank you for the link it's the real deal i like it very old skool but works well and pretty small and lightweight except the uhf radio and antenna is going to be big if we want any good range

How To DIY Rc I've been watching videos on building your own directional yagi antenna. They are big but you can design them to fold down for easy transport.

Nice mod! Did you know how much will the range extend if I only mod the controler without the drone (I now confident in my skill to open and solder in the drone) ?
you double the range if not triple with the correct antenna and having the stock antenna from the drone sticking outside the canopy

no not this time because we only did the antenna mod to the transmitter when we mod the e58 drone then we have to choose to boost the range of the wifi FPV or from the drone itself

I suggest that you set up a flag, a flag, or turn on the tracking camera, as this could help you know where to fly. You found it well at 284 m. Good idea for an additional antenna. What is the antenna and where did you buy it?

stock you get 160meters of range and we did a disassemble vid showing a good build quality and is much better compare to the more expansive jjrc h37 models so yes i do recommend this drone over other similar priced drones in the market

yep no signal and the motors start to spin at 50% and the quad slowly lands itself i really like it
Why not just splice wire to the existing antenna wire, and run it up the existing plastic antenna mounts?

oh sorry we were so tired and emotional looking for the lost drone and almost gave up and then find it after all pff it was a nightmare and it probably showed at the end of the vid sorry

I lost mine yesterday for about an hour, such a relief to find it. It was up the tallest 🌲 at the park. I asked a young guy to help, and he climbed up. I gave him $10. Also I attached a bigger battery, flies up to 20 mins now. Got mine up to 200ft before the wind got it.

@@HowToDIYRc change the propeller because the stock propeller are soft and replace the battery to 3.7v 4000mah or 3000mah the drone battery are just like smartphone battery 3.7v

i'm dutch we are the longest people on earth and you be suprized how close to 1 meter my steps are
if you see my range facility where i have done a couple of range test with this drone we have tree's every 10 meter and it take me 10steps from one tree to the next ofcourse my steps are not perfect 1 meter but very close to give a good accurate +- measurement of the distance the drone traveled if we can find it we lost this drone twice only found it once!

That is not a dipole it is a vertical
maybe yourrright maybe your not but if you search google for dipole antenna this exact antenna comes up
Actually you are right, my bad, I was forgetting that inside it is a coaxial dipole, however there are also some the same design that are just a vertical element inside.
