    Nice job fellas. I especially like how you wrapped up that rats-nest of wires into a nice clean looking harness.
    I actually picked up a few tips from watching your videos the past few months. My factory radio recently went out on my off-road 2002 Jeep TJ, so I decided to install a Kenwood DNX7120 I had sitting in my closet, from an older vehicle I had sold. Fitting that double DIN radio into Jeep's bastardized 1 1/2 DIN opening took some cutting and fabricating, but was not that bad. Your videos actually helped me figure out the install. It's working great now in the Jeep, instead of just sitting in my closet.

      Laurence Perotti it’s been a while since I looked into it, but if I remember correctly, there’s two models from idatalink maestro, one of them is supposed to retain the gage cluster LCD functions.

    Looks great, but black plastic adapter looks somewhat cheap. Wonder if there are better looking plastic adapters available that match texture/color of the head unit.

    I have a 2017 RAV4 (no JBL) and will be installing a Pioneer MVH-2400NEX with the Maestro RR and associated harness which I got from Crutchfield. They did not include the following:
    1) STO2 harness - Does the ST harness cable (navigation and Sirius XM antenna adapters) needed if you are using Navigation and Sirius XM thru Carplay.
    2) UTO2 harness - Crutchfield told me the UT harness will not play Carplay thru my USB/Aux Port and to bring the USB cable out. Looks like they are wrong.

      Five Star Car Stereo Yes. 6 speaker alpine.

    • @FiveStarCarStereoInc
      @FiveStarCarStereoInc  Před 7 lety

      CJ Botticelli right now you have to keep the radio. You can add this from PAC and a EQ then add your system

      Five Star Car Stereo I already have it. I just don't like the uconnect. Interface isn't really great and I have the hardest time with my Bluetooth. Sometimes it takes me a solid 10-15 minutes to get it connected.

      Jason Bell So when using AA and you adjust the regular volume, the second volume that appears above that does not turn it down?

      +MrMlo99 what cable are you have a hard time with

    • @Mlo99
      @Mlo99 Před 6 lety

      Five Star Car Stereo the to-2 harness and RR. The cables just don’t fit right so the unit is not exactly in the correct position. There’s not much room in the 2015 highlander so I must be doing something wrong

    • @FiveStarCarStereoInc
      @FiveStarCarStereoInc  Před 6 lety +1

      +MrMlo99 is the unit working? We always cut and re tape their harness, so we have never tried to get it to fit the standard way.

    • @Mlo99
      @Mlo99 Před 6 lety

      Units working fine but because it’s not perfectly in place there’s an unsightly gap between the dash kit and the dash. I did buy Tesa tape, but my wiring splicing skills are not as good as yours. I suppose I can get rid of the octopus and separate the wires from the car. Thanks for responding! Keep up the great work!
