I think Terapagos first attack being so balanced kinda proves they didn’t really think of Raging Bolt when they made Ogerpon, they didn’t mean for those two to make a combo…otherwise why would they be ok with having a deck that easily does 210-280 damage on it’s first turn but this one isn’t even allowed to use a weaker, harder to set up attack…honestly, if you get the stadium + a full bench of 8 + a double Turbo turn one going second, you’ve more than deserved to do a mediocre 220 damage 😅
When you release sets every three months they probably can't playtest as extensively as they'd like. I'd like them to change to a main set every four months rather than three to ease some of the pressure on the designers, but money innit
Nah 1 energy KO an evolving basic is super easy with terapagos. It’s less the amount of damage and more the set up to pull off the T1 attack against an evolving deck imo.

@@alexwhite2189we all taking about raging bolt being good but it just loses against single prize decks that skew the prize trade - Lugia vstar, Gardevoir ex, charizard ex
Man I loved the old skyfield rayquaza decks. I really miss what the meta was like around then, great era for pokemon tcg for me
Mega mewtwo Y was my first deck. Boss, shrine of memories, damage change on shaymin always felt so good😭 good times for sure I had the most fun playing back then too
Rayquaza shaymin was a crazy combo, imagine if we still had set up…
Didn't mention Rotoms attack, 1 for 70 turn 1 is pretty relevant, both to KO evolving basics and to set up your numbers into Vstars and Basic Exs especially. New Colress is broken in this deck, can search DTE and the Depths, but could also search Artazon and Jet to find the Rotom, which then finds you 3 basics and Jet it active for the 70 hit
And already has a counter in the form of the new Kyurem. I feel like that is a really interesting design, has its pros and cons. I really like it.
Totally agree, this deck can get super consistent with that combo, colress can also get you Gift and Mist Energies, with Noctowl should be pretty ez
And if you wanna add the ogerpon for snipe since you’d need to run WE can also add ninja for even more added consistency
@@yayo9123kyurem can snipe supporting pkmn but not tera due to their ingrained ability
On the other hand, since this deck will run colress to fetch those SE and Depths, it can easily run 1-2 kyurem, could be even better than water ogerpon
@@yayo9123 not much of a counter when you're playing Bouffalant because then they're doing 3 pitiful 50 damage snipes
With the new crystal tool, you don't even need to find the double turbos for Terapagos ex as often since you can attack with just 1 colorless energy with the tool attached, and with Crispin you can accelerate to benched Terapagos ex while your initial one only hits for a single energy
Better Ace specs to run tho
I actually think Crown Opal is being slept on a little bit. After all, Noctowl can search both Sparkling Crystal and Crispin which lets you power Crown Opal up in a single turn. I wonder if that might end up being a better approach to the deck than DTE, as you still of course have access to Unified Beatdown too. Maybe that would be a bit too Exodia-ey though...
The Gengar that revives itself to the bench is still legal 🫠🫠🫠🫠, the only thing that sorta kept mega ray in check was its ability to recycle constant discard of bench pokemon due to the stadium game

I honestly think terapagos would be better at 40 than 30 damage multiplier

That terapagos seems pretty rough for raging bolt when it is set up what is the raging bolt to do
Never even heard of terapagos before, must be an SV DLC mon? Either way strong card and the cycle continues of just lurching from one strong out of the gate archetype to another every single set
The Scarlet / Violet era has been better with this, nothing really bent the meta on release all of 2023. I think Twilight Masquerade was probs the first set to really go for a meta shake up so fast
Colress and Roseane backup will be very good in this deck
i feel like this stadium and Riakou with generators could be insane damage turn 1
to do that you need a basic tera ex pokemon in play, maybe ogerpon ex with fighting type could be an option, but i don't know if will be a good deal.

The Colress card from Shrouded Fable might be good with Noctowl? Lets you get DTE and Area Zero
Could be the perfect supporter for the deck
8:36 Wellspring ogerpon wont work with the new ace spec, it has to shuffle 3 energy so if you're only attacking with 2 energy+tool you can't meet enough energy for the sniping condition
You can still snipe. Just do what you can for these situations, meaning that you shuffle the 2 energies attached.
Just makes it a triple colorless then :)
Terapagos EX has 10 HP more than M-Ray. That's not "arguably more hp." That's "negligibly more hp," as there's not a lot of things that ohko M-ray and don't ohko Terapagos.
i look come cards and i think some cards could be entry in dragapult ex deck.
If you combine it with Gardy you could have literal Zoro Pod

I think this deck will be good, but perhaps not as good as other people do. We're in such a powerful metagame at the moment that a 290 hp basic swinging for 220 might not actually be good enough to make it to the top. Especially when a simple stadium bounce forces you to have to rebuild so much.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but these cards are incredibly cool if nothing else so I'm excited to see more.
Rotom fan is also an absolute consistency menace for GLC.
