- In this video I finally use my Ktuner that I got months ago on my 9th Gen Accord to see if I can get an off the shelf tune on it for a bit of extra power. Hope the video helps.

We want more KTuner videos..there isn't enough videos on these tuners for these cars.
I will try to get more out. I have to see what I can do with that.
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting.
Haven’t seen the full video yet but I am already waiting for that update vlog😂
There definitely will be a small update to it since I'm messing with it more and have been in touch with ktuner as well.
Thanks for watching and commenting as always!
Watch my Ktuner vid!
Cant wait to get a ktuner, my 2015 v6 ex-l already pops a little and burbles a bit just with no mufflers and a resonator
Yea they can sound good with no mufflers. I'm extremely happy with my Ktuner. Also acts as a code reader just in case you get a code on top of tuning.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video! I have the same LX 6MT in silver. Been waiting for this one. From what I’ve read of the 9th gen’s K24, redline on the dash is 6800 but fuel cutoff for the W2 (LX trim) is at 7200 from factory. I’d love to see a comparison of tuned vs no tune. Thanks!
Thanks a lot!
I'll see if I can do a decent before and after.
Yea, the stock always cut me off at the 6800 redline. Now I can definitely go passed that.
Thanks for watching and commenting, truly appreciate the support.
The VTEC does actually engage at 4800rpms from factory on the K24W1 that comes in these cars in the US. Would love to see if I can get a tuner to adjust this to around 4000rpm.
Also, as long as you have the same mods, the right fuel, and a good known intake, the tunes will work perfectly on your k24 9th Gen. Confirmed with ktuner.
Sorry about the screen capture. I noticed afterwards that I had another instance of Ktuner covering some of the popups that came up. Hope the video still helped.
I want mine to engage at 3500. My 02 Accord V6 engages at 3500. My 13 V6 engages at 5100 rpms. 90% of driving is 3k or less. It's factory rpm level is almost useless.
@@Looking4TravelingWelderJob yea I feel like the Honda tuning for VTEC engagement was a miss on their end but that's my personal opinion. 4k would be way more ideal for my k24.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
No it doesn’t
@@datmunanski8690 no what doesn't?
What muffler system do you have on? I have a tsudo but it’s kinda too quiet
Any recommendations?
I have the Tsudo.
Here's the video I did on it: czcams.com/video/q0Wjr1DlnUs/video.html

If I tune my Honda accord 2013 sport 2.4l with the k tuner will it causes anything I have 90,547milles
Anytime you're tuning a vehicle for more performance it will cause it to be less reliable and make it have a more of a chance to go wrong. That being said, as long as the tune is done properly you shouldn't have any issues.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Couple questions , 1. My muffler delete i lost some back end torque will the tune add that back pressure torque back ? 2. my car can redline and won’t shift unless i let off the peddle and get back on the peddle, can i make it to where it’ll automatically shift at redline? 3. i have a cold air intake and run 93 octane , what tune would be best beneficial
Thanks for the questions.
I would recommend contacting Ktuner to get better information on this.
But here are the answers I think I have.
As for the torque loss, you can get torque from the tune but just from a better tune thats better than stock. But not what you lost from the muffler delete.
As for the shifting, is you car the 4 cylinder or 6?
For tune, I believe it's the stage one that you want to go with, but might be the stage 0, normal tune that's just above stock. It will say which tune is for intake only in the description of the tune when you're loading it to the Ktuner.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO 4 cylinder.
@@wavyant1504 so the car doesn't shift because it's CVT. You can tune the transmission to feel like it's shifting but that's a fake thing it doesn't actually do it. I don't think Ktuner has that capability. You'd have to ask the company about that.
u need to add piping if u just unbolted it. straightpipe from the cats is what i have. or just resonator delete the car and put mufflers on again for backpressure
I recently installed a new wheel with paddle shifters on my 9th gen accord and everything is plugged in but my paddles won’t work, is it possible I flash the ECU and try with ktuner to get the paddles to work with the base tune?
Grats on the new steering wheel. Honestly not sure if Ktuner would be able to help with that, I'd recommend contacting KTuner directly to see what they say.
If you car came with paddle shifters it should work with the new wheel.
Sorry I didn't have a more firm answer on that.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice video, great explanation, wish I had the budget rn for ktuner after getting myself the Tein flex z for my cu2 and an entire front suspension/steering mevotech setup x)
Thanks for watching and commenting!
You've done some serious mods there
I would love a 6 speed Coupe with suspension upgrades like that!
Wondering if there is an easy way for me to take out the rev hang in my 9th gen Si. I don’t have it yet but the Ktuner is on the way. So I’m trying to do as much learning in the meantime.
From what I am aware, the best way would be with a tuner and the Ktuner is a great option for that. As for which setting you need to adjust to do that, that I am not sure of. I'd recommend emailing Ktuner to see if they know or try to Google it as much as possible.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO you still had a lot of good info, thanks for sharing and also for pointing me in the right direction! Have a lot to learn and good bit to go, and it’s people sharing their knowledge like you, that help us get there!
If I don’t have a laptop, could I take this to a shop and have them set it up for me? Or do I have to use my own laptop?
You can have a shop do it for you. However since the KTuner software requires you to setup an account, make sure that the shop has you setup the account and not them.
Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Very good video
Thanks for making it
Thank you for the compliment.
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting.
Can I set up my Ktuner with the ignition on? I worry about the battery dying and bricking the ecu. Thanks!
No you can not. Ktuner recommends running a trickle charger to help from battery dying.
can you link me to the intake you have bro?
Yea for sure, it is bit.ly/afeintake
If I want pops and bangs what should I do, I have everything on my car from downpipes exhaust all that, my car is loud asf I just want the pops now, what settings do I have to
Change on ktuner ?
I have a 2017 sport 4CyL
I wish I had an answer for you. However from what I understand it's not as simple as turning something on and off. From what I've heard this has to be tuned in by messing with the fuel mixture. To get this done properly and safely you'll have to get it to a reputable tuner.
Sorry, wish I had a better answer for you.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
if ur catless then i forget where, but find a pop and bang tune tutorial on youtube and ur supposed to change some numbers to negative on two columns at like 2500 rpm down
I just ordered one for my 13 coupe V6. Can I change the shifts to a different transmission tune without running high octane??
I also need to kill the VCM so I can remove the VCM muzzler. And speed limiter needs removed. 129 isn't nearly fast enough.
Glad to hear you ordered one.
As for the transmission question, you'll need to contact Ktuner to see what they say, or a tune shop that works on those cars. I'm not a tuner so I couldn't say.
Normally the off the shelf tune from Ktuner eliminates the speed limiter.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO I figured it out. There's 2 different upgraded transmission tunes u can run with the 91 tune or without. Two is slightly more aggressive especially while de-accelerating. It makes the 3.5 pop and burble regularly while at low rpms
@@Looking4TravelingWelderJob great to hear! Thanks a lot for the info.
I have a 2013 automatic accord at 150k miles. Im buying an intake and exhaust, but do you think my mileage is too high for a tune?
As long as the car has been maintained properly, no I don't think it's to high. But remember, I'm not a pro I'm just an enthusiast to loves cars, I could be wrong. But my opinion, no it wouldn't be to high if you have maintained the car well.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I have a 2013 Honda accord aswell ! The ex 4cyl though, did you tune your car yet !?? I am still waiting on my afe Takeda Stage 2 pro CAI , its been back ordered for 2 months now, after that I want to tune my car then get the custom quad tip catback exhaust put on!!
I also have a 2013 accord, did you tune your car yet? And if so how much hp are you pushing?
@@ExotikDeathCore I got the afe takeda intake on my v6 accord it throws the maf off and causes the car to run rich the only proper aftermarket intake that doesn’t throw it off is the injen one other intakes will need a real tune (not a base ktuner tune).
@@lolzaiahmr Is yours a 4 cylinder or v6? I wouldn’t waste money modding a 4 cylinder instead get a v6 or the 2.0t. Even my v6 with ported intake runners, 93 octane tune, underdrive pulley, full exhaust with rv6 pre cat deletes and jpipe and custom tune still feels slow and I’m probably maybe at 310-315 crank horsepower after all those mods compared to 278 stock. It feels slow because curb weight is 3600 lbs the newer 4 cylinders weigh around 3300 and if you tune down pipe a 2.0t it will make more power than I’m making and weigh 300 lbs less.
I have a Borla Exhaust with a Throttle body spacer so my question is what tune would u recommend for the Honda Accord 2014? Also is it legal
Depends on the state for legality.
As for what tune, probably stage 1. Their stage 2 off the shelf tune is for intake and exhaust. I'd recommend asking ktuner to see what they say
Sorry I didn't have more information for you. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO Well I’m in Illinois so is it fine to use!
@@slaya031 since the ktuner and the tune do not cause or hide any check engine codes, technically it's within the law Illinois has, so yes it's legal and will pass emissions. I will say this, modifying your exhaust is illegal in Illinois. I figure I let you know since you seem to be concerned about legality.
Thanks again for watching and commenting. Hope that helped.
I have a v6 accord 2017 auto. Can I tune it with ktune on stock parts.
You can.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Yeah and you can get advanced shifting too
@@405richyyy 👀😁
@@405richyyy what is advanced shifting? I have a 2016 Accord touring v6 fully auto no peddle shifter. Would k tuner help me engage vtec earlier and have longer vtec? Not familiar with Accord, but I did come from an 8th gen si with flashpro.
does it work for a cvt transmission ?
Yes.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO preciate it man
Great video👍
Thank you 🙏
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting.
I have a 2016 Honda Accord sport, wondering if I do get the Ktuner, do I have to start using 91 octane?
If you use KTuners provided tunes, yes you would. Usually to get power out of a car you would need to use higher gas. I haven't seen anyone tune a car on 87 to get any gains.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO thank you! Would it be best to fill it up with 91 before the tune or can it wait? Sorry new to this car stuff! Thanks again!
@@yunisomari6502 make sure you have the 91+ in your tank before you do the tune.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO awesome! Thank you for the fast reply really appreciated!
Is this the v6 accord or the i4
Mines the 4cyl. The V6 didn't come in a manual as a sedan in the US.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Is it safe to k tune my i4 cvt coupe?
Shouldn't be an issue. The CVT is limited to about 250hp. With a N/A tune from Ktuner you'll be significantly under that. Hope that helps.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Will the Ktuner open up the possibility for turbo charging on the 9th Gen Accord?
Yes, the Ktuner can be used for tuning a turbo setup on the 9th Gen.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO I see great things in my Accord's future
100%
No you can not you will blow your engine if you push the turbo to hard on a ktuner. For refernce check out c_los 9th gen turbo on yt he is a god will tell you everything about turbo 9th gen
@@ektouge8700 Did he do anything to reduce the k24w's high compression ratio?
It does sound different, I think.
I thought so for sure, then I was like is it just because I'm not normally in the garage when I rev it. I don't know but I'm certain it's a bit different.
Thanks for always supporting the channel bro.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO of course brother.
Nice man. Now I why you were rocking 93 the other day when we talked. Now you ready to race the mazda 🤣. You gotta come by this weekend if you get a chance.

I have a 2011 exl 2.4 cyl (190hp) is there a way i can get up to about 220 with just a tuner or would i need more mods
Since you are n/a then you would need more mods.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO Yeah no way is a ktuner going to add 30 horsepower on a na 4 cylinder. I probably got 10 horsepower on my Accord V6 with a ktuner maybe. But the newer turbo accords 1.5 or 2.0t can easily see a significant gain with a downpour and ktuner
You have the k24 to mod anything like high flow injectors and new fuel pump with e85 capabilities could bring you up to what you want.
Great Video. Were you able to find out if it removed the speed cut off at 126mph?
I haven't been able to test it yet, but as soon as I do I'll let you know.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO Deff. let me know. I have a sport as well and it gets to 126mph FAST, and then its just stops like the fuel is cut but there is way more left in it.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO hey any update on top speed? I just got the same intake and I’m looking at grabbing some exhaust for my coupe just curious.
@@ActuallyMartin not as of yet. It's hard to get that done around here. But I'll see what I can do before we start getting bad weather.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@ActuallyMartin yes. V6 touring here ive hit 140 w limiter removed w room to move
Ktuner automatically removes the governor when you upload a tune
That's what I've heard. I'll have to take it to a closed course to test that out...😁

i have a 9th gen accord 2.4 , would you guys recommend an intake , ktuner, and throttle body spacer all at once?
@@cortezttd6225 I would recommend Ktuner and Intake for sure, since Ktuner provides the stage 1 tune to take advantage of the new intake. As for the spacer, that is something you would need to tune separately for with a shop.
@@FULLTHROTTLEAUTO where is the most reliable place to buy a ktuner v2 with a tune for my 2.4 L accord sedan ?
@@cortezttd6225 the tunes will be available from Ktuner when you download the software. You will download that once you get the tuner.
As for where to buy it, there are quite a few locations. MAPerformance, RV6, Amazon, Ebay and plenty of others. Here is a link to the Amazon bit.ly/ktunerv2
how much horsepower did it add
I haven't dyno'd it but according to Ktuner the stock manual car makes 171 to the wheels on the dyno they used and with their tune you should have 190 to the wheels.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
For older accords as gen 8 cu2, you get pretty much the same hp your car came with stock (185 to 190hp). Some guys have struggled a bit during the last few months trying to get passed 200hp, some do with manifold and some get stuck at 180 with sri XD
What’s your mod list is it cold air intake, catback and rv6 down pipe??
No RV6 downpipe. But catback and afe intake. And a bunch of other mods that aren't power adders.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Are you still currently on stage 2 tune any issues since you don’t the rv6
And thank you for your awesome videos you’ve really helped me a lot
@@lexi2jz604 I am on stage 2 still with no issues. The stage 2 tune says that the rv6 pipe is optional for that tune. You just have to have a good intake, 91 octane and catback. Or at least the stage 2 description on my Ktuner had optional under the rv6 pipe.
I’m sorry to be annoying but do you highly recommend after period of time do you feel power and torque because I’m trying to purchase the borla type s catback , takeda stage 2 intake and takeda silver bullet throttle body spacer and a k tuner v2 so is it worth all this money
Great mod, would you recommend Ktuner 1.2 or version 2.0? I see you have version 2.0 and I’d love to know if it’s worth the extra money
It's all up to you if you care to have the screen or not. I do like the fact I have the LEDs for the shift light, thats a fun thing to have. Also being able to view specific details like AFR and so on is nice as well. And I do like that it is its own screen and not something I need to use my phone with.
However I will say, if I had an aftermarket headunit I probably would have gone with the V1.2 and ran the app on the headunit.
But I personally am very happy I went with the v2.

Can anyone recommend an exhaust mod for me? I have a 2013 accord sedan V6. I currently have both mufflers deleted. I love the sound but want to go louder (not raspier). I’m willing to spend up to $400.
I was considering deleting my resonator.
All the talk on PCD’s / cats confuse me so much. Your advise would be appreciated.
From what I understand the muffler delete is going to be the only option of going louder with minimal rasp. The resonators shouldn't affect the exhaust sound it should only affect if you have drone in the car, or at least that's what information online will tell you.
To be honest I'm personally not sure on this since I don't have a v6 and haven't tested anything on one.
I'd recommend contacting someone like slickfab to see if they can get you the information you need. Or possibly heeltoe.

No need for that my friend . Buy cherry bomb resonators the best 80 bucks you will ever spend.
