@@eddieherrod6632 have you tried any of the Skar Audio stuff? I bought to zvx 15s and a Taramps bass 3k. Im anxious to see how it sounds in my Tahoe. Ive got some older soundstream 15s and 2 1k Crunch amps at the moment. Sounds good, just not enough for this old bass head nowadays lol. I built a box similar to the Steve Meade design. Just gotta find time from work to install it all.
Yep, he put too much power to it. Some people don't have car audio common sense. Any 2.5 inch voice is gonna struggle with 2000 watts. There are only maybe 4 different 8s out there that will take 1000 rms. He would've blown a Skar zvx 8 with the same power.
Tht 1000watt rms of Rockville everyone knows is garbage u got put the cea rated if not buy buy sub and u or him was sending 2k chess tht sub did and out perform a lot of subs
Audiopipe Amps are VERY SOLID so it's easy to blow any subwoofer with that raw power. On the other hand, if you had the HZ dial below 50 on any 8" subwoofer you get to see what it's made of. I think the 8" PUNISHER 3000w might be able to handle that frequency.
So just so everyone knows. Your suppose to break in your subs. You have to run it at its rms watts (if its 600w rms then they have to be run at that with normal music. Not a test tone) and the break in period is 2 weeks at the very least in my opinion. Make sure your volume never goes past whatever 70% of your volumes is. So if your volume can go up to 35 then only ever run your volume at 25. Never push it. Youll notice a difference after 2 weeks and ghen you can push them but if the subwoofer is 2500watts max then dont ever go past 1800watts. Specially if you want them blasting constantly. The less HZ setting the more bass so when breaking in try to go between 80hz-125hz. Going below 80hz during the break in period can melt the resin and crunch the coils. You want that resin to almost solidify pretty much.
Alright check this out brother the RMS is where the real power of the speaker is that if the speaker like someone comment is only 500 RMS and the watts is 2000 and your amplifier is only 300 to 400 or 500 RMS you will not blow it the what is not for the power of the speaker is that a lot of people in the majority of people think because it says 2,000 Watts That's How Strong that speaker is that is not true it's the RMS that's where the real power is at if you get a speaker let's equal are men or a tad or little bit lower then what the speaker RMS can handle you'll be okay you might have some issues with the amplifier heating up or forcing itself too much if the RMS are higher than the RMS of the amplifier preferably equal the RMS to the amplifier to the woofer therefore the amplifier doesn't Force itself and heat up and the Wolf fur can reach its full potential without blowing the woofer up good luck remember RMS is where the real power is at forget about how many watts it has the higher the RMS the stronger that woofer and the harder the base is and one other thing to get the best quality sound from your speaker box make sure you get a speaker box that is a solid piece of wood none of the recyclable are other cheap fake imitation wood has to be real wood and solid pieces to make the Box you would definitely here and feel the difference when you use or get a really good box good luck brother
The rms out put power on your amp was to powerful for the rms on your speaker. Just because the speaker is rated 2000 watts doesn’t mean you can hit your speaker at that continuous wattage at all times it means that it will reach 2000 watts peek at any given moment during a genre its just letting the peak power not The continuous handling power . You must qualify an amp based on Rms and ohms are you using two speakers or one The same applies to the speaker
Great vid. But whats really sad is that the amp isnt really providing 2000 watts so that Rockville speaker blew under 2000 watts. I really like Rockville but none of their equipment is what they say it is as of audiopipe. Of course alot of the other audio suppliers dont either even the high end ones but Rockvilles stuff just seems like one of the worst.
The max is 2000. The rms is 500. People think “it says 2000 it can hold 2000” but thats kinda like saying “my car redlines at 6500 so i can drive it at 6400 all the time and be fine” always read the fine print. Rockville subs are famously fragile but I think the stigma is from noobs throwing way too much power on em.
I have 4 k9 8's on 2krms and full tilt for about a year now and they don't ever get hot they are inverted in a 4.4qb with 2 11×4" areo ports on 150ah of agm and they literally shake everything on my screw f150 they do what they claim as long as you have the amp setup right
The other real issue here is you broke the 2nd enclosure seal while feeding it more power than it's rms rating. The second enclosure was your CAR! When you crack your windows when your bass'in the air space is increased which make box internal volume larger which mean less control on speaker suspension. Thus the will get louder with the same power as with the windows up 1-3db. You blew the by not not knowing that. I'm a 10 db drag competitor, trust it's SCIENCE. NOT THE SUBS FAULT.
Then you ran it wrong or needed a better box I have six 12's on two 4000 have to run them on rms rating not saying you don't know nothing about audio only talking about what I got schooled on their not that loud but hell of solid
first issue is it’s in a prius.
It says right on the box 500 watts the 2000 was is peek which means it can take a very short burst at 2000 watts like a second or 2 not continuous
I like the songs u pick
You clipped the hell out of a 500 watt subwoofer.......
Rockville brings a whole new meaning to Blowout sale........lol
Especially with this guy operating.
It was just a test run lol

I just bought their 10 inch tube woofer that's 500 watts... It is awesome.. You might have a little bit too many watts... 😆 pretty funny though
It was just a pre run test 😂
I can hear 👂 it bottoming out... before you turn it up 🤷

not even blown the right way
2000 is not the RMS you now that right
Is always half at 1000 RMS for content power.

Just change the title of the video to this is what happens when you run 1000 rms with shit settings to 500 rms subwoofer. It go boom
It was all about testing the subwoofer to see how long it would take it
Nice but I don't like Rockville. They have a horrible reputation.
I still think rockvill is better then mtx I’ve blown so many mtx subs
