Thanks for putting out a sub install video that actually make sense. Quick question, how do you install the bass volume toggle that you decided not to install?
No problem man! What you need to do is run the provided wire from the amp in the trunk, up to the box with the knob somewhere within the drivers reach. All it does is control the power output of the amp 💪💪
Did you adjust the low and high pass filter on the amp that'll help change.

Thanks man! And We did not mess too much with the settings on the amp, however, we probably should’ve moved the low pass up a few frequencies because the 8” speakers struggle to put out the lower notes.

So how's the system holding up? I have a dual xdvd251bt head unit. I just wanna be sure this setup would work with my stereo. It's 200 watts. And 4 ohms. Seems like I'd like this over an all in one (powered) single 12 inch sub.
The sub is great! Never given us any problems. We just need a better head unit for better controls 👀

This video has been so helpful. Thank you. I'm working on installing my first sub and amp, it's the same one in this video. I have followed your steps but I got to the part where you have to plug the RCA cables into the radio and there is no input for them. What do I do? Do I need to install an after market radio? A line out convertor? Please help?
If you are trying to install the sub with an OEM radio, you will need to buy a subwoofer adapter off of eBay. They make them for almost every type of car and it’s just a plug that goes in line between your factory harness and your factory stereo, but it gives you those two RCA outputs.
Take the overhyped background music put maybe put it in when you do the timelapse, very high quality content for a small channel but the music really gets annoying man ngl.. thanks for the video tho really helpful dont know I'm I'm gonna get these or the single 12"

Yeah! These speakers will replace which ever of yours are buzzing and blown.

Oh shit dude I thought you commented on a different video! We replaced one of our actual speakers for even cheaper in this video!! The subwoofer won’t give you what you want in terms of treble. czcams.com/video/zkQthoA8qcw/video.html
@@gridengine well it's only the rear speakers that are blown and trying to replace those is a hell of a job so I was going to install subs as a substitute for the rear speakers.
Oh. Well it will probably work ok. Just mix the amplifier to have a decent amount of treble and not just bass 💪💪

To Rockville for any type of deep bass though I have two Rockford p3s on 1200 watts and I don’t even like them as they don’t play low bass well idk I actually have one of those Rockville eight subs I was just going to hook it up to my 5k amp and blow it up for fun
Yeah, they aren’t the best… But that’s why they’re so cheap! If you’re looking for mega base, you definitely need to go a nicer route. But if you just want to round out the sound of a cheap stereo system, Rockville’s are pretty good!
so you wired one sub instead both, I guess that's why mine is sounding off
The sub box only had one connection… we’re pretty sure they are wired together inside the box.

did everything in the video and im getting power to the amp but my sub woofers wont work I tryed a second set of speaker wires and still nothing. Any tips ?
Have you messed with the sound and volume adjustments on the amp? Maybe they are turned down too low?

Depends on the cab size. If you have a regular cab, you might want to look into the other box options that Rockville has. I believe they have an under/behind drivers seat option. But if you have an extended or crew cab, this one should fit just fine 💪
What battery terminal do I plug into negative or positive?
The only terminal you need to connect anything to for the amplifier is the positive terminal. The ground for the amplifier is provided by a bolt in the back seat as shown in the video 💪💪

@stolen_grandma4499 you have something wired wrong if that is the case. Make sure your “remote” wire is connected to the proper wire in the sterio harness.
Eh i got two mtx 10s and a 1k amp in a box for my truck for a hundted bucks from a friend.but another friend has a rockvill not sure how it sounds but anything is better than nothing
