I don't know how this happened ,but i just saw your video sir. I have a written book that i've been keeping for years now . I don't have the courage to turn it into a book , this was a miracle, and more like meant to be. And i really felt close to what you said about collocting your own esseys into one place , and forgetting what you wrote just 2 weeks ago. Somedays i look back at what i wrote , and don't remember it at all. Those are the words that comes witha soul , and heavy feelings that are ment to be set free , and writing does that for me. I just wanted to thank to you , maybe one day i'll make it , but this was for sure good to know.
"How to draw without talent" is timeless and a book you can go back to over and over again. I hope more people buy it. Congrats on the release of your new creation!! And... I'm amazed how organized you are 😮!

I just watched your video “how a sketchbook will change your life” and it has completely changed the way I think about art. I’ve always been so tough on myself because I cannot get my drawings to look “good” but now I know that that mindset is so limiting and has prevented me from just enjoying art and not making it an event. I'm currently working on an illustrated children's book series that I will write and illustrate (still in the brainstorming process). It's such an overwhelming, yet wonderful feeling when I'm working on it. I've enjoyed adding ideas to my Notion page every day, and I've even been working on composing the theme on my musical instrument, even though it's not going to be a film (maybe one day!) I love getting lost in the world I've been building and getting to know the characters as I create them. It will probably be many many years before I publish it, but I'm in no hurrry. Just gotta enjoy the creative process. ❤️

I doubt most people would sit through a half-hour video about process without being interested in your process! I definitely love learning how literary sausage gets made, though I've also worked a bit in a factory myself.

Thank you for sharing this! I want to make a colour book about watercolour someday, but getting totally accurate representation of watercolour is challenging. Now you should write a book about how to self-publish and write your own book!
Wow, this is great, 'behind the scenes ', very interesting. Voice to text apps etc, I had no idea.
In the PKM space, I fly the Obsidian flag. Notion was seductive but like so many were too keen to sign me up to their cloud thing...
Also fascinating how many different ideas you executed and then had to decide/ choose the final ONE!
But it helps that your cover designs are genius in their own right... The book market is so enormous now, it must be hard to stand out.
And finally the publishing reality check... Heard the same story about musicians and record labels... Crazy how the talent gets so little.
For a person like me who has trouble making decisions even at the grocery store, this seems impossible

Thanks this is really helpful , I like to think of myself as a creator with ideas but no sensible way to organise my thoughts and work so this is great. I also had no idea that publishers took such a huge cut! I will definitely be self publishing if and when I get that far

I love the part about capturing ideas. I have ideas all the time. They mostly go into the universe to be heard from again. I would like to create a writing project. Not sure what type. Collecting storing organizing and reviewing ideas sure seems like a great place to start. Thank you

What is a good database for creating fictional book? How and what’s the best way to publish a book?
Hey, I have that book!
I have so many ideas that I had to write them on pieces of paper and lock them in a box to use when I need an idea. I never opened that box since. I get too many ideas all the time. But I am not good at selling things.
Is this book available on Kindle? It is not coming up as such on Amazon, only paperback. Thanks.
